Om Spa

I absolutely loved their oxygen orange facial. It was an amazing place to relax and the staff is super friendly. I loved the little store too. I am obsessed that they carry Nest candles. It’s a great location.

Good overall experience. I’ve been coming here for the last 3 years or so, usually around my birthday in January. The facilities are always clean, staff always friendly, and the massage is always great! Also, the parking situation is better now than the last time I went because its free parking instead of paying a meter. My philosophy is that if women can have a spa day, men can too. I would highly recommend the Om Spa to everybody.

I’ve explored many spas throughout Michigan, none offer the ambient serenity Om spa does. Very welcoming staff! Haya, the receptionist was very kind and accommodating. Also, make sure you try the brownies!

I get it, Brazilian waxes are going to be bad no matter what, but they should really inform you that if it is «that time of the month» and you get waxed that your vagina will look like a hot mess-​especially when you are GETTING MARRIED in a couple days. I cried for 10 minutes in my car after and waddled for the next 24 hours. It hurt so bad, and I was so embarrassed at my rehearsal and wedding night. So $ 80 later, the owner wouldn’t even talk to me about it, never going to this place again

The actual spa services are a 5-​out-​of-​5. Excellent!
HOWEVER, THE WEBSITE IS A ONLY A 2. Why?
01) Not all services listed on the main menu are available for booking on the «pull down tabs». Cumbersome and frustrating to use.
02) No way for a person to book her entire group using the website. I would think this is a common procedure for a lot of customers.
Suggestion: Web site seems a little on the primitive (1990’s) side and could probably use a more professional look and functional design. Definitely gives the appearance and function of a not-​so-​good DIY cookie cutter approach.

RHONDA is awesome! My face is by far the most sensitive face ever so I’m always scared to try new things. This was only my second facial I’ve ever got and the last one was a year ago. My skin you can just touch it or even hair gets on my face and it will irritate and create itchy redness. I scheduled for a facial the one that helps out pores and dead skin it’s $ 90 for 50 mins. I heard a lot of places don’t give you the full time you’re paying for but I actually timed my session and it was a complete 50mins. Rhonda has been there for over 10 years and she don’t even live in MI… she lives in Cincinnati. Rhonda actually drive all the way to Dearborn just for work, that says a lot about passion. My facial session was a wonderful experience. I’m a manicurist so with all those chemicals and dust all over my face have a lot to due with my skin. I had a lot of dead skin and open pores on my face so she worked with me. After my session my skin was red and for a couple days too it was really red but usually that’s normal after an intense facial like that. The results for my face now is close to flawless. I have not wear any make up after my facial thats how much I’m in love with my skin and want to show it off. Its smooth, the redness isn’t as bad anymore if any left. My boyfriend even noticed a difference of my skin so thats a major thing that dudes noticed! I can say I’m way more confident in my skin thanks to Ms. Rhonda’s help.

Anyone who leaves a bad review about Om spa is either just malicious or has some sort of ulterior motive. Or perhaps just one of those people who are never happy because this place is a hidden gem.
I have been to some of the best spas in California and Om Spa is right up there. I have been there at least 6 times in the last couple of years and I have never been disappointed. Dr. Kreil and his staff know their business.
I love the relaxation room. They are constantly freshening up the décor and during the holidays, it is really beautiful. They offer at least 25 types of hot tea, fruit, water and other goodies to enjoy before and after. If you relax in there, PLEASE do not use your cell phone — thank you!
The last time I was there for a facial with Jillian, they had new robes which are super comfortable.
Now about that facial:
The facial rooms are equipped with heated beds (amazing!), candles and zen music. Jillian is absolutely great at giving a facial. A shoulder, neck and arm massage are included and what a treat! I get the Vitamin C facial with extractions. Wonderful!
The locker room is chocked full of products to use — moisturizers, shampoo, hairspray, even mouthwash!
If you go there for the first time, you will wonder what took you so long!

Not much to say after that except to give you a one star.

I absolutely loved my time at Om Spa. My husband sent me for a day of relaxation as a Valentine’s Day gift. I had four treatments done. I would recommend Olivia for a Vitamin C facial. She’s is amazing and a fantasticly gifted and empathetic person. Angie gave me a pedi/​mani and not only did a superb job, but was also great conversation and very kind. My deep tissue massage and scalp treatment were what dreams are made of.
They served complimentary chocolate covered strawberries, truffles, and numerous other tasty treats with champagne, tea, or fruit infused water. Doesn’t get much better than that, ladies and gentlemen. Their Customer Service is EXTRAORDINARY. I’m wildly impressed. Go there now. You deserve it.

Experienced a classic pedicure, however was shorted by almost 15 minutes! The clinician was running behind and acknowledged that, however, I should not have been cheated of time I paid for. The ambiance is pleasant, however there was a group of women together who obviously did not know spa etiquette of being quiet. An employee did politely ask them to keep it down. The receptionist was pleasant upon checkin/​checkout. Unlikely to return as there are better spas in the area.

Update 01÷09÷15 — We had the opportunity to try the spa again. This time we each had a facial, followed by a couples massage.
Upon arrival, the desk staff was very friendly and pointed us into the direction of the changing rooms. The only issue with the changing rooms this time was that both male and female showers were not operational. This was a disappointment as we both like to shower after massages.
We sat in the lounge for a few minutes and snacked on a few goodies that they had set out. The temperature was extremely comfortable, nice and warm on a cold January day.
First up was our facials… mine was awesome! I don’t often get facials, but this was one the best I’ve had. The therapist had me very relaxed. My wife had a good facial too, the only issue she had was the therapist was a little shaky and apologized to her at the end of the treatment saying she was nauseous. My wife did say that was one of the best facials too.
After our 50 min facials, we were led back to the lounge where we waited for our couples massage. The only problem we had was a spa client that didn’t turn off her cell phone and it rang and was answered loudly in the relaxation area. Luckily our therapists came out and got us after a few minutes.
The massages were greatly improved this time around. We have had a lot of massages in the past few years and my wife said that this was one of her favorites. I was satisfied as well.
Upon check out, Nathan asked about my wife’s facial therapist and apologized for her not performing the whole treatment. He gave us a complimentary candle for home, which was extremely nice!
Sounds like our complaints were addressed after our last visit. After this visit we will definitely return! Four stars now only because the showers were not functional. Hopefully next time we can have the full spa experience!

This was my second time visiting Om spa as I am familiar with the area and the doctor that owns it. I had a friend visiting from LA and we decided to book a couples massage. I booked the 50 minute deep tissue for each. We arrived there at our exact appointment time even though it was recommended we arrive 30 minutes earlier to sit in the lounge area and eat the rotten grapes and stale pastries that they have provided. As I was changing into my robe the masseuse came into the changing area when I was standing there buck ass naked and told me to hurry up because they were running short on time as they were overbooked for the holidays. My mood was immediately shot after that.
Cut to the massage which was what my guest and I were looking forward to for a week. The massage was so half assed and rushed. They finished way before the 50 minutes was over. When we got home my guest had the worst back pain and he had to take ibuprofen because the masseuse was pressing so hard on his back with her barbaric hands. I was so disappointed by their treatment this time around and I will definitely not be going back nor do I recommend it. I felt like a cow moving through an assembly line. I felt more stressed leaving then I did walking in. This is not what a spa is suppose to make you feel like.

I have trouble relaxing and many «spas» that I’ve visited have provided great services but I leave still thinking about the same to-​do list I came in with.
Om Spa is a complete exception!
Walking in through a hued, reddish hallway, you feel as if you’re being transported. It feels like the vibe will be contemporary and barren, but once you enter the spa, you realize they have tapped into the Eastern practices for both services and décor.
Come early! After check in you will change into a plush robe and have an opportunity to snack on fruits and snacks and begin your relaxation with a cup of tea or infused water. Their lounge truly forces you to unwind and immerses you into a quiet, relaxing ambiance.
I’ve had two of their Vichy shower based treatments and promise that if you get one, you will not leave disappointed. I highly recommend the thai body scrub and masque which is 90 minutes of bliss!
Unilocal offered me a $ 50 for $ 39 discount and front desk informed me that if I check Unilocal before my next visit there may be similar offerings… Prices for services are comparable to other spas but instead of offering great services, Om offers a comprehensive mind AND body experience that will leave you feeling rejuvenated.
If you want a good spa service, go most anywhere that does them but if you want a true spa experience AND a great service, go to Om!

Fantastic customer service from Rhonda. She is also extremely knowledgeable. The waiting room is nice. Women’s bathroom/​changing room could be updated, but overall experience was great for both of my appointments.

Just returned home from a visit to Om, and this time my experience was very review worthy.
I booked three hours of different services for myself and my boyfriend (he was paying, so why go light). My therapist was Andrew. Young, sexy, nice hair. I have no idea who my man was with, I am a little self-​absorbed. My initial massage was good, not the most mind-​blowing, but good. I realized later that I had over booked and so the Swedish didn’t need to be any more than a warm up for the other 2 hours of bliss. I do NOT think a solo massage would have been lacking. The following body treatments? Aaahhmazing.
Andrew was very sensual. Not in an illegal way. Just deliciously intimate in the way that body work can be when it’s obvious that someone enjoys their work. I hated when it was over. I was left without any functioning brain power, but managed to make it back to the dressing room.
The overall look of OM is trendy and zen, almost high end but not frilly like the spas on my side of town. The relaxation/​sitting area was pleasant and clean, complete with organic teas, fresh lemon water and a wide variety of munchies. The dressing area was small, but well stocked and also clean. My only issues were the sandals– please replace these, and the lockers– please wipe these out. Other than those minor flaws, this is a great spa for Michigan. Thank you Andrew darling, I will be sleeping very well tonight.

Great prenatal massage with Lori!

I have been to some of the most exclusive spas at various luxury hotels, and I must say I always find myself wishing I was at Om. Perfect environment and quality massage offerings. Definitely the best in the metro by far.

This review is for a Swedish massage and a mini facial only.
I may be young, but I’ve experienced well over fifty massages in my lifetime so far (probably more). Meaning that I’ve been to many, many different massage establishments.
Anywho, let’s get started. Let’s start with the changing room. Cute and small, not exactly how I like them. I’m sorry when there is only enough room for a shower, a small bathroom, and some lockers, along with two sinks. Yeah, not big enough. I personally don’t like changing in front of the door to the hallway. But there wasn’t a changing room so I didn’t have much of a choice.
Next, the «waiting room». Yes, I’ll admit the décor was nice and hip looking, but I didn’t like to «openness» of it. I personally don’t like seeing employees constantly walking back and forth. Especially if they have loud, squeaky shoes. I thought this was supposed to be a relaxing setting?
I decided to get an 80 minute Swedish massage and a mini facial (about 25 minutes). The Swedish massage was highly disappointing. First off, my masseuse smelled of smoke. Ugh, gross. Also, not only did it not feel like a Swedish massage, but the masseuse replaced the normal spa iPod with his own. The music wasn’t relaxing at all. His iPod was playing Frou Frou (Imogen Heap) and Sigur Rós and I can assure you, that wasn’t relaxing in the slightest. I also even had to ask him to turn the music down before evening starting the massage.
Like I stated earlier, the massage didn’t feel like a Swedish one at all. His pressure was much more than light to medium pressure. To the point of where he would massage one part of my body and then it would start to go numb because he was putting way too much pressure on it for too long.
Honestly, for the amount of money I paid for this massage, it wasn’t even close to worth it. I also thought that masseuses were supposed to be highly professional. Maybe he missed the memo? Along with the massage, I also got a head and scalp add on. It was okay.
After the massage was over. I returned to the waiting area for my next appointment which was a mini facial. She found me about 5 minutes after my massage was over. She was charming and didn’t smell of smoke, thank god. I really enjoyed the facial, it was relaxing. The best 25 minutes of my whole visit.
Afterwards, I went back to take a shower in the tiny changing room. The upside is that they have plenty of hair sprays and hair products to put into your hair after a shower along with a hair dryer. But like I stated before, no private changing area.
I then head out to the check out desk. Two employees are flirting at the counter when I get there. And one of them is surfing the internet. Seriously? I have never seen anything like this at any other spa. Clearly, professionalism is not known to any of these employees besides my facial specialist. That’s the only reason this place is receiving two stars in the first place, the facial. Needless to say, I don’t plan on returning. A complete waste of my money and time.
Looks like I’m sticking with Spa Agio.

I look forward to my weeks ending when I get to splurge and be pampered for a massage or exfoliation at Om Spa. The therapists are super nice, they really know what they are doing. They consult with you about problem areas on your body that you would like focus on before they begin. The best deep-​tissue massages ever, and as they dig in they can feel the knots and just really focus on that area until they are satisfied. They communicate during the massage session with you, ask if your ok etc. I’ve fallen asleep many times, and woke up feeling great.
Although I get a little embarrassed when I find out that I was sleeping and maybe let out a snore or two, they take it as a compliment… makes it all better!
Even just walking into that place, makes you just unwind and relax… and sleepy…
