History

Established in 1968.

The agency was started by John’s father John Spencer. He was one of the first Allstate agents in Sears store at Penn Can Mall. Since then has been servicing Syracuse and center New York families.

Business Owner

John has been associated with Allstate Insurance for most of his life. As a teenager, he worked at his father’s Allstate agency after school and on weekends. During college, he did an internship with the Allstate Insurance sales department in Syracuse, NY. After graduating from Mercyhurst College in 1998 with a degree in Finance, John joined the agency as a licensed sales associate and soon became Office Manager/​Head of Daily Operations. In February of 2002, John became an Allstate Agent and Partner in the John Spencer Agency. John is a strong believer in continuing education and self improvement. He has received several professional designations including the licenses for New York State Property, Casualty, Life and Health Insurance, Series 6 & 63, Life and Health License. In 2004, John earned the CLTC designation for Long-​Term Care Insurance. John is a strong believer in giving back to the community by many different way like: coaching teams, boy scouts, and many other ways.
