Nice gym, like the indoor running track, especially when the weather is bad out. Having more free weights is nice compared to the other two gyms.

I am definitely a fan! This gym is by no means luxurious or high class. It is a gym and it services the purpose in which it was intended to. There is tons of parking. It is clean. You never have to wait for a tread mill or elliptical. Even if you did there is always the track to keep you occupied. They offer a bunch of fitness classes. Love that they have smoothie stand in there as well. Need a massage? They offer those too. This is a no frills gym. If you want to work out this is place to go.

Great fitness center to include indoor track, cardio equipment, weights and SAUNA. Large facility with basketball, volleyball and other recreational areas. A full service gym with great hours.

It’s in a hangAR, not hangER. Hangers are for clothes. But anyway, this gym is ok. it certanly isn’t the best military gym out there but it is the best on WPAFB(we have 4 if you count the gym inside bldg 266⁄262). I like that we have the option of having an indoor track. It is small but it’s a great option to the treadmill if it’s freezing or blazing hot out. Just don’t go in the morning or between the hours of 1500 – 1800. You will have to fight the retirees and civil service employees who hog all the lanes by walking. Same with the treadmills. I wish they had active duty only hours. I would totally bump it one more star. The HAWC is also located here and they have a Body Pod for fat percentage measrument. There’s also a Smoothie King in the main entrance and that’s totally awesome. One con about this gym is the temperature. It can be horribly hot in the summertime. They did install huge fans in last year which somewhat helps, but the temperature can be unbearable in the second floor.

Not the best or worst gym I’ve seen. The track is terrible and always has huge temperature differences.

Wright Field Fitness Center(aka…The Hanger) is a converted airplane hanger that is now an enormous gym. It has 2 basketball courts, 4 racquetball courts, and several studios spinning and various classes. The weight room is approximately the size of a basketball court and there is a cardio area that has a 1⁄9th mile running track, a boxing ring, a large amount of floor space for doing whatever you want, and 20 or so different machines for cardio(there are also a handful of exercise bikes in the weight room). This is a great gym. There is enough equipment that you almost never have to wait to do any exercises, Spinning classes every day, and other classes taught throughout the day. My favorite is the Speed Agility and Quickness(SAQ) class that is offered on one of the basketball courts at 11:30 on Wednesday and Friday. The only downside to this gym? No daycare, and if you don’t work on Wright-Patt you can’t use it(which is actually a good thing for those of us that do). It’s my favourite free perk of working on base.
