4.5 stars… I’ll admit, I’m a little annoyed that I paid $ 298 for a $ 175 alternator. But I also got my dead alternator replaced for under $ 600, which is a great value when you consider how buried my alternator is next to the engine block and under fluid tanks, etc. They charged me for 2.5 hours labor, but I know they put somewhat more into it. More importantly, they respected me as a customer, did a great job diagnosing the issue, and went beyond in educating me about how my car’s different systems work with the alternator. Great experience overall.

I won’t take my older car anywhere else for repairs and service. The Weber guys always do a great job, very honest and straightforward about what needs done. They always fix it right. In a world where you are never really sure if you’re being ripped off on car repairs, it is wonderful to have a trustworthy place to go. They fixed issues that other mechanics said would be much more expensive and more involved to fix. They always go the extra mile and are a pleasure to deal with. I cannot recommend them more.

Went there on a recommendation of a friend. This place is one of the best auto repair places in Dayton. Long time family owned business. Competent, friendly customer oriented people. I overheard the mechanic talking to a customer on the phone and told them the repair they wanted done was NOT necessary or cost effective. Very few places I have been to in the past would call me and tell me the work I requested wasn’t necessary. Good, honest mechanics are hard to find. My car broke down over Memorial Day weekend while I was traveling out of town. I was unfamiliar with the area so I turned to Unilocal to find a auto repair shop to fix my car. I live in Georgia so trying to find someone 500 miles away that you can trust to fix your car right to drive it back 500 miles was a scary thought. I looked at all the reviews on Unilocal for Weber automotive services and was very impressed. When I call to speak to someone about getting my car towed he immediately got the instructions on where my car was and sent a tow truck to pick it up. Within the hour my car was no longer on the side of the road but was at the shop behind the secured gates. At this point in time I was doing quite a bit of traveling and was not going to be able to get the car for at least a month. He not only fixed the car but stored it for me until I was able to pick it up at no charge. The day before I flew up to pick the car up and drive it back he took it for a test drive he also check my fluids and made sure my windshield wipers were in good shape for the 500 mile trip. I’ve never had anyone take such good care of my car sight unseen. I highly recommend this automotive company for anyone who lives in the Dayton area. Being a female and knowing a lot about cars men are always skeptical when you tell them what’s wrong with my car but he listen and agreed with what I said and that’s the part they fix. This was a very pleasant experience with my car ever breaks down again in Dayton I will definitely be giving them a call.

It’s been one year since my last update. What can I say? Another job well done! Took my car in for an oil change and to fix the brake light, plus the horns were no longer loud. The horns were replaced under warranty and the oil change completed without a hitch. The only issue was the brake light since a pin was burned in the socket. But. they found a used one for a very reasonable price. They took care of everything and even gave me a ride. I never feel ripped off or uncomfortable with their work. I recommend… still!

Had a bad oil leak, losing about half my oil in 2 days. Called Weber’s Automotive and scheduled an appointment based on feedback I had seen on Unilocal.They got my car in immediately, and within 15 minutes had found the problem. They had to get a part from the local dealer, and 30 minutes later, the fix was done. Great job!

Love these guys. I have my three very old cars in and out of Webber’s all the time (by the way: this is not a reflection on their ability to keep them running, haha!), and NEVER have any of the problems I have had with other service outfits (e.g., shoddy work, overcharging, unnecessary replacements/​repairs). They’ve saved me thousands of dollars over the competition with their honesty, reasonable prices, and expertise.

I had a very important schedule with extensive traveling to do when my truck broke down. A quick search of Unilocal reviews showed Weber’s Automotive Service nearby — so I decided to take the chance. I had my truck towed to Weber’s Automotive Service by AAA — whose operator told me they get a LOT of requests for — and then was given a personal tour of the business by owner John Weber. They had everything fixed and doing great in a VERY timely fashion and a VERY good price! Plan to take all my vehicles to Weber’s Automotive Service from this point forward. I recommend them highly.

I found this place from Unilocal and decided to give it a shot. I went for oil change and full vehicle inspection. Overall so far so good, the work was finished within schedule. John, the owner, is pretty friendly too. However, I took 1 star off because the mechanic left my vehicle in 1st gear without putting the handbrake.

As a woman in my mid 20’s I’ve never felt comfortable around a mechanic even though I know a fair amount about cars. John and his staff treat me with respect and are honest. I took my 2003 Honda CRV to them thinking I’d need new brakes and dreading the price. They told me I have 25% left and should be fine for another 6 months to a year! OTHER places told me I need them RIGHT NOW and it can’t wait.
I will take my vehicle here from now on and will recommend them to everyone!

Based on the positive reviews of Weber’s here on Unilocal — we took a chance on this establishment for my daughter’s car. We are out of state and she is a student at UD. We were very happy with the professional and personal attention that John showed — our car needed a new starter. Besides fixing the car at a very fair rate, he went the extra mile with service. We’ve been customer’s at Webers for life. (The only time away was ten years in the Army when we learned how difficult it is to find a great mechanic).
Last year, I recommended Webers to several out of town friends. Weber’s always delivers! (And these are major repair referrals). My friends are rewarded by their effort and they keep telling more people.
John Weber, John Jr., Alex and Andy are respectful, intelligent guys who start with safety in mind, then what is best for your car’s situation. They work with your plan and do only what you approve fixed.

The shop I normally take my car to went out of business. I found Weber’s on Unilocal and figured I’d take a chance here. I asked for an oil change and full vehicle inspection since I will be driving cross country later this month. Knowing full well that asking for a vehicle inspection is typically an invitation for a sales pitch and laundry list of «recommended» repairs, it was refreshing to hear my 14 year old vehicle was in good shape. No pushy sales at all. (He even remarked on how clean my air filter looked! Can’t fathom hearing that from a «jiffy-​type» franchise.) Great first time experience at Weber’s Auto! The owner, John, was real friendly too. I definitely recommend this place.

I suffer from a severe case of Mechanaphobia, a fear that any place I take my vehicle to get repaired will turn into a money sucking black hole. The cure for this phobia is to find a good auto repair shop that treats its customers with respect and does good, honest work in a timely manner. Weber’s has cured me of my phobia.
We took our Toyota van in to get a bearing issue fixed before a road trip to Florida. I was happy that the repair cost came in a lot cheaper than I expected. I was even happier that it was repaired on the same day. I was elated when, not even having asked them to do it, they went looked over the van for safety issues to make sure that it was fit for the trip. Since it is my wife’s van, she did all of the communication with the garage and said she was treated in a courteous, professional manner. They even followed up with a call a few days later to make sure we were content with the repair job. For all of my fellow Mechanaphobes, I cannot suggest this place enough.
