History

Established in 2005.

The Envelope began as a small stationery boutique specializing in wedding invitations, personalized stationery and greeting cards. Originally at Washington Square, home to Dorothy Lane Market, the shop moved to its current home in 2014, an old stone building in the heart of Centerville that was built in 1831. Over the past few years The Envelope has expanded to include graphic design services, branding, and business print media. Stop in and say hello!

Business Owner

Annie created The Envelope after gaining valuable experience at another Dayton stationery shop during 2003 – 2004. During that time, she learned the ins and outs of layout design, print media, and the beautiful art of fine paper. Realizing the absolute necessity of attention to detail, and the importance of fostering customer relationships, she developed the skills that have allowed her to work closely with clients to create whatever unique invitations they can dream up. In her «free» time, she does a little of this (art shows) and a little of that (helping coordinate community events). A big fan of downtown Dayton, Annie spends a lot of time playing and volunteering in the city, has done freelance writing for several regional publications, and acts as graphic designer for Culture Works and marketing coordinator for the Dayton Visual Arts Center.
