Outer Ordinary Thrift

Thrift stores are hit & miss! Very much a treasure hunt — that’s the fun part
:) As are customer interactions/​experiences. This isn’t a corporate chain. Supporting local business is a big deal. One person’s iffy experience is not indicative of another’s. Again, embrace the treasure hunt & support local business people!

I’ve been driving by for about 6 months now (apparently they opened for business in the beginning of 2011). I have been attracted to the name of the business so I finally stopped in. As the one star rating goes — «Eek! — Methinks not.»
I was truly hoping it was going to be a gem of a find. Not so. In fact, don’t expect to find anything special here. It really looks like the bottom of the barrel of secondhand items. Although, they did have a bunch of newish matchbox toys. Other than not, not much to see here.
I initiated greetings when I walked in, but other than responding to that, they weren’t so friendly. The two young dudes that were there to help were more concerned with their computers than anything else. Which I found hilarious.
My guess is this place won’t be around for too long, unless someone has money and time to waste and isn’t really into making money. We’ll see.
