*Unless you are setting up an incompetent counsel appeal.
I was DEMONSTRABLY innocent yet still convicted of a felony because:
— Mulligan did not subpoena ANY exculpatory evidence such as police dashcam video or taser records or training records.
— Mulligan did not subpoena valuable evidence or witnesses.
— Entered a «not guilty by reason of insanity» plea without my knowledge or consent (this plea will show up on background checks for the rest of my life and has already caused me to not be hired or allowed to rent apartments).
— Mulligan did not effectively cross-​examine the perjurer cops who assaulted me or my family who witnessed it.
Nota bene: I’m not just a butthurt con. If I got a full airing of the facts and was still convicted, I wouldn’t be blaming him. Mulligan was one of the reasons I was wrongfully convicted, even though he ostensibly worked for me.
L. Patrick Mulligan, Esq. is more interested in being in «the club» (the glad-​handing legal community) than in providing the best legal defense. Mulligan’s bread and butter is copping pleas for crack dealers. If you happen to be a guilty crack dealer, you’re still better off with a public defender whose incompetence is no secret. You’ll still get a raw deal, but at least it won’t cost you any money.
