Kohler Catering is a full service on and off premise caterer. Kohler Center offers services for rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, and bridal and baby showers.

Presidential Center has four rooms with seating up to 600 in the largest room. Kohler Catering is a preferred caterer at many locations in Dayton, Ohio. Kohler Catering features menus or dinners, galas, theme parties, fundraisers, product launches, business trainings and backyard picnics.

History

Established in 1968.

Established in 1968, Kohler Catering has grown into one of the largest family owned and operated catering companies in Dayton Ohio. With over 40 years of experience, Kohler Catering has had the honor to be a part of thousands of wedding receptions, corporate events and social gatherings in the Dayton Ohio area and beyond. Kohler Catering has its own state of the art commercial kitchen, main office and own 2 venues, with 5 different event spaces. Kohler Catering is the exclusive caterer at 3 other privately owned venues, and are a preferred caterer at several venues throughout

the region.

Meet the Business Owner

Erwin K.

Business Owner

Erwin Kohler, a native Daytonian, started his career in the food service industry some 30 years ago. At the age of 15, Erwin started as a dishwasher at Sacksteder’s Cafeteria in Dayton. Next, he decided to trade in his dishtowel and carve his way into the culinary arts by training under Sacksteder’s chefs. In 1964, Erwin broadened his horizons by becoming head chef at the University of Dayton’s Kennedy Union.

In 1967, Erwin attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. His education also included business courses at the University of Dayton.

While at Kennedy Union, Erwin was convinced to start up his own catering business, and in 1968, Kohler’s Food Service was established.

In 1980, the Presidential Banquet Center in Kettering was established. Off-​premises catering, which includes both corporate and social events, has been a main ingredient since the very beginning.
