History

Established in 1978.

Design House backed into the world of business as B.A.D.Goods at 222 D St. in downtown Davis. And while carting furniture up winding stairs and squeezing furniture and lots of accessories into ever changing spaces, we had amazing fun and learned early to love our Davis customers, who even now — after nearly 25 years — are coming back to buy their next sofa.

So it is with great pleasure, and some relief, we now occupy a very spacious showroom and have unlimited resources to fit the various needs of our customers — many of whom come to us from as far as the Bay Area and the foothills of the Sierras,

Business Owner

Noni Storm, whose architectural design background led to starting the kind of furniture store she had sought for her clients when designing houses, now finds herself incredibly lucky to be working with design professionals who are talented and knowledgeable associates of Design House. Timaurie Holzl, Lynn Tracy, Virginia Martucci and the renown jewelry designer — Adi Braeman. All of these independent designers work together in harmony to find perfect furnishings for the Design House customers.
