Best Western doesn’t have the best breakfast bar so I walked across the street to Delta Of Venus. I was the first to order at about 7:30am and received my food in about 15 minutes. Since it was my first time, I ordered the Adam’s Special with a side of fruit. I fell in love, I literally inhaled the food because it was so delicious. Pro: The potatoes and pesto gave the food a unique taste!

My favorite breakfast restaurant in Davis. Vegan and vegetarian friendly with lots of yummy options. As a vegetarian, I still eat eggs and dairy so enjoy the Greek omelet the most. Their wheat walnut toast is outstanding! They open consistently at 7:30am each morning 7 days per week. I can only recall them being closed on major holidays like thanksgiving. They are open on Memorial day as I am writing this review on that day. Service is very friendly!

Their sandwiches are delicious. The vegan options were great and we really appreciated that they offered them.

This is probably one of my favorite places to eat in Davis! FOOD(5⁄5): –Cheap, or cheaper than most breakfast places at least –Country potatoes are pure perfection –Decent selection: sandwiches, salads, bagels, omelettes, soups, etc. SERVICE(3.5÷5) –Usually somewhat of a line to get to the cash register –Be ready to wait a while before the food arrives –But SUPER friendly staff AMBIENCE(5⁄5): –Music at night –Games to play –Great place to brunch –Great place to sip on coffee and read I love DofV! You should too.

Great food, cool place. Staff is very friendly! Went there for breakfast/brunch. I got the veggie scramble, but vegan and an iced latté. It was delicious! Definitely somewhere I’ll stop again.

Soooo maybe we came on the wrong night but 13 dollars for three tacos and a side of chips seems a bit steep. I decided to give them a second shot because I heard they had good Caribbean. They have ginger beer which is a plus, but they no longer have the tasty Caribbean menu due to the chef leaving. They have not changed their menus to reflect this! I have also been here for breakfast and wasn’t impressed I had an bacon omlette it was just ok. The only plus is sitting outside which means my bestie can bring her dog. Maybe just come for a refreshment or coffee and sit outside.

Wasn’t worth the wait. The food was good but the service is terrible and not in a kind of, we’re busy(!) way, but rather like, we’re just coming down off of a high kind of way. Like life is bleak and they don’t care(and you’re bothering them). No decaf as in — no decaf beans. Don’t ask for any type of decaf coffee drink. But what really bummed me about this place is that it puts out that hippy vibe but they don’t even know if their tea is organic. Find out maybe? Don’t guess.

When you think of a cute brunch place, this should be what comes to mind! ENVIRONMENT: The ambiance is so laidback and chill. It’s the perfect place for brunch on a Sunday morning or a relaxing place to get your coffee fix and study any other day. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, but this place is typically pretty busy on weekends for brunch. So come early! FOOD: We showed up around 10AM on Sunday, and the server informed us it’d be about an hour wait to get our food. It ended up taking 45 mins, but the food was worth the wait! I got the ADAM’S SPECIAL, and it’s perfect if you’re looking for something with a whole lot of flavor and just a hint of spicy! It’s a scramble with chiles, sundried tomatoes, bell peppers, melted cheese and pesto. It also comes with a side of house potatoes and 2 slices of toast. I’ve also heard their POTATOESETAL. is amazing. I’ll be trying that next time. This place is perfect on so many levels. I’ve come here for a work meeting and brunch before. And this place never fails to deliver good food and caffeine. It’s also very vegetarian friendly which is what I really like about this place.

WARNING! Possible nut contamination at this location! Be sure to ask your wait staff about any nuts in your order. TLDR: –NUTSINTHETOAST! Food: Potatoes et al(~$ 10) No known nuts. –My absolute favorite indulgent and heavy breakfast. Flavorful seasoned potatoes with a dollop of salsa, sour cream and melty cheese! I always add on the guacamole(~$ 2) as well. I can never finish it but the leftovers make for delicious seconds. Mushroom scramble(~$ 12) NUTALERT! –Well the cheesy scramble doesn’t contain nuts but the normal toast on the side they serve with nearly every dish contains WALNUT. The toast is buttered down and is delicious… but maybe not worth the allergic reaction. They can replace your nutty toast for regular toast if you ask. Drinks: Vanilla latte(~$ 4) –Inconsistent. The first time we had it, it was creamy, hot and delicious. I considered it the best latte I’ve ever had. Too bad every time we got it after that it was never as perfect. One time it came out with a very peculiar sour taste… maybe the milk had gone bad? We had to ask them to remake it. Service: –So…Slow…I mean their kitchen is tiny so you shouldn’t be too surprised. Don’t come when you’re starving because you’ll be waiting awhile. Parking: Free street parking. I’d recommend dropping someone off to get in line while the other person finds a parking spot. Plenty of bike parking in front of the outdoor seating area as well.

YAY — Binky Bear is officially a NEW graduate and is a F R E E man. Of course, the one place Binky wants to go to for breakfast the next morning is DELTAOFVENUS. As an ex-vegan, I frequented this establishment quite a bit during my sophomore and junior years. However, since that time, it’s been a while since my last visit — thank you Binky for bringing me back to this wonderful little restaurant — now I can’t remember why I ever stopped coming. The location can be hard to find — no sign outside indicating the name of the restaurant. Usually, there are patrons eating outside the restaurant on the patio — probably the strongest indication that this location is, in fact, Delta of Venus. Binky ordered his favorite meal here — the Greek omelette, while I opted for the Adam’s Special and a house coffee. For an unremarkable Sunday morning, the location was quite empty(college kids home for break) — therefore, Binky and I waited no more than ten minutes before our food was served(I admit, sometimes it does take FOREVER for food to come out…). The coffee was rather unexceptional — to me, I was plenty happy enough to get caffeine into my body; Binky took a sip and made a face after swallowing. For a «hipster» location, I guess their coffee isn’t exactly up to par — however, as I’ve mentioned again and again, coffee to me is a necessity, not a luxury, so I pretty much always just take what I can get. Our food, on the other hand, was wonderful! The food, as always, is very simple — nothing over the top or extraordinary(although I do think the Greek omelette is pretty unique). As I’ve grown older, I’ve come to appreciate simple food more and more, especially when the food is created with fresh and delicious ingredients, such as at Delta. Thank you, Delta, for a wonderful start to our very busy Sunday morning.

First time at this place this morning after church. It’s funky and you have to accept that. You order at the counter as you walk in and they bring you the food. They checked to make sure there was a table for two which was thoughtful. My omelette was as good as I have had in a breakfast place in years, but the coffee was weak. My wife had a bagel and it was very good but, again, her latte was not great — I watched them make the latte, and though I have no idea how much espresso the maker put into the puck, it looked packed, so I assume that the coffee they use isn’t as strong as what we usually use(Peets or Temple). Overall I was very impressed.

Stopped by here for breakfast on a Thursday morning. Very welcoming and great service. You order at the counter and pay, they bring it out to you and then you bus your own table, all of which helps keep the cost down. Delicious hazelnut latte — lots of milk substitute options. It’s easy to substitute items and everything can be made vegan. Really great psychedelic vibe. We orders an Adams scramble and a vegan veggie scramble. Waited for about 5 minutes for our order when we were the only people there. Everything is made fresh so don’t expect your order to come out immediately if it’s busy. Loved the food and the experience!

I LOVEEE Breakfast, and I’m not hard to please. Just give me my food. Price: Look to spend about $ 10 per dish. Parking: Street Service: SLOW. Waited sooooo long for an omelet. Drinks & Food: I ordered an iced coffee and it was ok. The omelet I got was plain. It wasn’t anything exciting. I was hungry too! Usually that makes food taste better. Notes: What irritated me the most was the wait. I would say I waited a good half hour for this meal.

I really like the layout of this place(whether it be inside or outside). It’s cozy inside but so pretty outside! I also appreciate how they have lots of options for their omelets(I tried the Greek omelet and a bite of my friend’s DOV omelet-both super good)! $ 9 at first sight is kinda pricy for an omelet, but considering that the omelet is pretty filling and comes with toast and potatoes on the side-it’s reasonably priced!

This place makes top 1 or 2 brunch spot in Davis. It wasn’t too crowded when we went on a Sunday morning. As with most Davis restaurants, it’s a pay first, then get your food. The food was pretty good; we were lucky and got a decent table. Prices are reasonable and food is good, not too much else to say really.

My friend and I are on a quest to try all the restaurants in Davis and Delta of Venus was next on our list. It has an earthy/hippy feel so it’s a great escape from the college town feel of Davis. As we were standing in line, the older hippy patrons in line would talk to us and it made the experience even more entertaining! Order: Friend– Maureen Special Me– Adam Special Both are omelets/scrambles served with potatoes and toast. Delicious food and a good portion. I need to come back to try the Turkey Pesto sandwich and go there for dinner to try the Caribbean food!

BREAKFASTTTTTTTT, yessss, don’t mind if I do! You walk in and there is a menu to your upper left and in the front of the spot(across the top wall of the cashier). From omelettes to sandwiches, there’s an array of options to choose from. I got the Adam’s Special, it comes with toast, house potatoes, scrambled eggs(topped with melted jack cheese and pesto, yummm!). The toast and house potatoes have an excellent blend of spices and herbs! Can’t go wrong with this dish. I’d like to return and try their breakfast burrito next time: D They get busy rushes throughout the morning. Expect a line, friendly service and good vibes! Indoor seating is limited, but there is definitely more outside seating than indoor seating. People come here to study, mingle and eat :) Until next time, Delta of Venus!
