History

Established in 1982.

Davis Gold & Silver was opened by Pete Richards in 1982. He operated this shop very successfully until March of 2014 where he decided to retire. John Heleva of Cal National Coin in Sacramento bought this shop and he and his wife Dawn work there together. John has been in the business for over 40 years and is a lifetime member of the American Numismatic Association.

For over 40 years I have had the privilege of working in the Numismatic field, specializing in US Coins and paper money. This business is also my passion and I work hard to assist my customer’s by sharing the knowledge I have acquired. I also have a love for history and that is reflected in the collectibles and historical items we also carry. We can assist you from a collecting or investing perspective. My wife Dawn and I work together in Davis. We buy and sell gold, silver, jewelry, coins and other historical items.
