Davis Chamber of Commerce

History

Established in 1905.

The Chamber was originally formed in 1905 by a few local businessmen, in order to attract the University Farm School (now known as UC Davis) to this agricultural community. The «town-​grown» relationship has been a strong and vital one ever since.

At the core of our city is a friendly, lively downtown business district. Residents and visitors alike enjoy the variety and quality of our shopping, dining and cultural pursuits. The university and the downtown are seamlessly joined and activities, events and people flow effortlessly between them.

Since its inception, the Davis Chamber of Commerce has had a commitment to the local community. Our Chamber is a vibrant business organization which reflects the vitality, education, community involvement, and quality of life characteristics of our locale.
