This wouldn’t exactly be my to go place for Mexican food but I go when I haven’t had chipotle in a while. The service is good and I enjoy their burrito bowls. The only problem is that they are not so generous on their portions. Sometimes They would give me more rice than beans and other times they would give more beans than rice. They seem stingy with the their meat as well. One time I barely found any meat in my burrito bowl and it was very disappointing. I’ve eaten chipotle for a long time from various places and I can say that I would probably give the same review for all of them. Overall I love their food but if the portions aren’t right, it just might ruin my taste for chipotle.

I will forever be a loyal Chipotle customer. I’ve been coming to this place ever since my freshman year and it does not disappoint. I am currently living in Downtown Davis, just 2 blocks away from this Chipotle, so can you imagine how much I cannot resist coming here? I always get the burrito bowl. Steak and Guac, hell yes! Great service, great food = happy me. I find myself ordering online more often. It’s so much better to skip the super long line and go straight to the register, where my food is already packed and ready to go. There have been a couple of times where they forgot to add sour cream to my order. It has happened about three times already, so if you’re ordering online, make sure you do a quick check in case they forgot to add any ingredients. Chipotle is the love of my life. If you’re one of those people who claim that«Chipotle is not real Mexican food,» I totally agree with you. But I freaking love Chipotle. I love legit Mexican food too! Just because you prefer Mexican food over Chipotle does not mean you get to bash on the people who love eating here! Come on, people. Food is food. Be grateful you have something to eat! Lol okay this review has turned into a rant. Oh and dear beloved Chipotle Gods, your Chipotle followers would really appreciate it if y’all were open late :)

It’s my day for reviewing Chipotle, this being one of two I’ve been to. One can see my other, prior, review for the full take on this chain. This one in downtown Davis is quality-wise just like the other in Santa Rosa and I find this place to be a decent but utterly boring, rather pointless place to eat. If I want Mexican food, I want the real thing, or as close as I can get. That said, I’ll eat it if that’s available, as recently was the case when lunch was provided during a school-cleanup day at our kid’s elementary school. Anyway, the watchword here is inoffensive, seemingly a highly desirable trait to Americans. I have not had anything remotely bad, but I’ve not had anything remotely interesting, either. Burritos or tacos, of which I’ve had both, are decent but just bland. Chicken, pork, beef, they all taste basically the same. And where IS the Chipotle? If they use any of this critical Mexican flavouring(smoke-dried jalapeño which is loaded with rich, smokey, spicy flavour), it’s hard to tell. I think I detect traces, but minimal. I am tempted to give it two stars because it’s so bland, but I think 3 stars is proper given that it is consistent, it is decent and pleasant enough.

I actually love the taste of Chipotle but I’m upset about their stingy burrito sizes lately. I remember when they first opened, they made their burritos pretty large. Stuffed it so full of ingredients that I could eat it in 2 sittings. Now, I’m lucky if I get enough of a burrito for 1 sitting. With their prices steadily increasing, I expect to get the same amount of food or more. Now to get a large burrito like they used to serve, I have to ask my tall male friend to get my burrito for me :(I’m not happy about paying $ 9 for just the burrito and no drink.

HAVEAGAIN: Babacoa taco was good. Excellent service: one asked if I only wanted one taco. Another asked if I wanted water since I did not order a drink. Three stars for the babacoa and service. NOTHAVEAGAIN: Steak taco had cubes of steak that looked factory cut and did not taste all that good. The carnitas meat had very little spice, was very plain and was just not very tasty. One star for these tacos. Overall, I can only give them one star because of their prominent non-GMO marketing. What about the chymosin used in their cheese made from GMO bacteria? What about the corn syrup used in their soft drinks from GMO corn? What about the GMO bacteria commonly used for many food enzymes and vitamins?

Of the few times I’ve been to the Davis Chipotle, I haven’t been super impressed. There were some instances where an entire bay leaf was in my burrito. Lately, I’ve also felt that they have been rather conservative with their portions. I ordered a burrito bowl and there was barely any lettuce or chicken. The Chipotle in Stockton gives heaping scoops of everything, so I’m a little off put by this Chipotle’s stinginess. I now only go to Chipotle when there’s BOGO because if I were to choose between here and El Burrito across the street, I’d definitely pick El Burrito.

Obviously Chipotle has had it’s issues and are still trying to recover from it. I’ve had years of experiences with this chipotle location and this is an overall review. Back in 2009 – 2014 I came here occasionally and never had a problem with the food or service. Yes, the tables inside are always dirty and don’t get serviced, so either sit outside or take it to go. I had a huge catering order completed by them in 2014 and they were nothing be impeccable. They provided an ample supply of plates(in the form of bowls used for burritos/salads), utensils, and napkins. I didn’t have to double check anything before I left and when I got home there was nothing more that I needed. Now fast forward to 2016. After their E. Coli and Salmonella shenanigans, I resumed my normal habitual consumption(in other locations also). But this one has made a turn for the worst. They had reform but it doesn’t seem to have helped. Service at chipotle locations overall has declined as well as the food preparation and quality. Specifically at this location: While the woman ahead of me was ordering something that needed a bowl, the employee grabbed the bowl from the stack and put his gloved hand inside of the bowl and twirled it around as he asked her what she wanted inside of it. Granted, yes, it’s gloved but this glove is not changed between customers and it’s also the same gloved hand that used to open refrigerator doors and etc that are touched with ungloved hands that may have been handling cash, other people’s credit cards and what not. Secondly, I ordered a salad to go. Nothing I need to mention here during the assembly of my salad. I get in my car and start driving away. A few mins later, at a stoplight probably 2 miles away, I realized that he never asked me if I wanted dressing. Check the bag: no dressing. I call them to make sure they have dressing and running out isn’t the reason I didn’t get one. I tell him that i just left and i’ll be coming back to get one. He tells me that i’m supposed to ask for dressing and it’s only given on request. What? I’ve been to a LOT of different locations and this has never been the standard. Whether that’s something the store needs to fix or chipotle as a company, they just need to fix it. He apologized that it happened, but no. Unless you write ‘*upon request’ on the menu, you better keep asking me if i want dressing when i order a salad. Additionally, I didn’t get dressing at another location and had left, and the manager apologized profusely and offered a free meal next time I went back, so inconsistencies are a problem. Now, that i have dressing i can drive back home and enjoy my salad? Well i’m supposed to. The lettuce in the salad was unacceptable. There were large stems inside of the salad, and some of the pieces were hearts over 5 inches long. Yes, stems; the part of the bottom of a head of lettuce that many, many leaves are attached to. The part you THROWAWAY when you are cutting lettuce. My other issue, there were pieces of translucent material that I’m not certain were plastic or lettuce… but they were completely inedible. Also, the pieces of chicken were horrible inconsistent in their size and had so much cartilage. Some were cm cubes and other were inch cubes. Seriously, who is doing what? Bottom line is, Chipotle is not going to bounce back from deteriorating quality and service. They might as well start closing down stores to keep those doing well running. I love chipotle, but not all stores deserve to stay open.

I feel like you can’t go wrong with Chipotle! I love the options, and it’s always consistent no matter where you go! There are ton of tables inside and outside too! I always get a bowl, and they’re generous with the portions, like every Chipotle I’ve been too. I’m not too sure why this place doesn’t have a higher rating, because it feels like every Chipotle I’ve been to, which are all amazing! Maybe it’s just because I have a deep love for Chipotle though. You can bet I’ll be coming back tons of times while I’m at Davis!

I don’t see any problems for this Chipotle location in Davis because they’ve done the best they could to make the best CYO burritos in a flash. I’ve been to this Chipotle for quite some times in cause if I need a food to go. As I entered their doors, the atmosphere and the concept remain the same as most Chipotle locations do, yet it’s quite smaller here because it’s located in the suburban city of Davis. The employees are doing a fine job for making the customers like me an enjoyable service. No cons at all. Everytime I go to Chipotle, I usually, always ordered the CYO burrito bowl which I can eat it easier without holding an actual stuffed burrito. I added with brown rice, black beans, choices of proteins, fajitas vegetables, mild and medium salsas, guacamole, and shredded lettuce. As I ate it, it tasted very good compared to the Capitol Avenue Chipotle and the Howe Avenue Chipotle because it has the finest flavors around. The proteins cooked very well without any raw contaminations behind. The veggies and the salsa did top the notch too as I can feel the fresh ingredients right through my mouth. Not a bad meal at all. Parking at this Chipotle in Davis can be challenging to park. You can park at the nearest surface street parking if it’s available depending on the busiest environment. Otherwise, you can also ride a bike, walk, or use public transportation easier without the hassles. In the end, Chipotle in Davis is a good national fast food restaurant that I can rely to have the best CYO burritos on the go. A well visit for all ages. My rating: 3 ½ stars.

I returned only because of a mailed coupon. One free burrito/iteration of what they’ve got and another coupon for chips and a salsa with the purchase of an item. My carnitas tasted overwhelmingly bland, and the corn tortilla tacos fell apart in hand. Not even their«hot»(salty?) salsa could save those messes. Thank you corporation«Mexican» food, for crossing yourself off my list. Woo me with another coupon so I can be disappointed again. Please?

CHIPOTLEISMYLIFE! No, but seriously I could probably eat this everyday and not get sick of it. The food gets you excited like authentic Mexican cuisine does, but you don’t feel like shit after. I always go for the burrito bowl!

1. Stingy employees on portions as if it comes out of their paycheck. 2. Poor quality of food –Brown guacamole –Dry over cooked beans 3.Price is different from other locations Didn’t ever think review a chipotle location, but I walked away an unsatisfied customer. The server was extremely stingy on portions for both my boyfriend’s and my burrito bowl. I could understand this if the restaurant had a line out the door, but it was dead that night and I felt ripped off. As I approached the end of my order, I felt disgusted and upset to see the guacamole in a brown state and only felt inclined not to get my usual guacamole and chips. I doubt I will ever return to this location.

Chipotle is another American Mexican food chain I enjoy. A LOT. I make at least one trip here per week in Davis. The Burrito Bowl is HEALTHY and DELICIOUS. Here is my signature order there: Burrito Bowl: ~ Brown Rice ~ Fajita Veggies(SOOGOOD) ~ Black Beans ~ Mild, Medium and Spicy Salsas ~ Corn ~ Guacamole(AMAZING) ~ Lettuce Chipotle has fresh ingredients and never disappoints. Also, their burrito bowl is very filling, so I don’t need food for basically the rest of the day. The service is also FAST! I’m a true chipotle fan, and will obviously be back.

I don’t even know how I can give Chipotle a review without sounding insane. I love it, crave it and think about it more often than I’d like to admit. Everything single thing that they serve is delicious. I love the chips and guacamole and how delicious your experience is really just depends on what you order and what ingredients you chose to compose your meal. I get so excited reading reviews from any chipotle because if it’s one thing humanity can agree with; is that chipotle is life. The only things to vary is how the employees will treat you.

Oh my gosh I LOOOOVE Chipotle. Chipotle is bae. No shame. The only reason I would give different ratings is just the experience different stores give. The one in downtown Davis is fairly nice. The workers are for the most part all very friendly and don’t act like they hate their lives. Plus, it’s actually pretty healthy if you think about it. Fresh ingredients and a bit of every part of the food pyramid. 4 cause Chipotle is mah life.

Disappointing, dry and don’t really scoop you extra when you ask. Service: good, welcomed customers and friendly. They only got two star ratings for their service and none for their foods. Food: I asked for half steak and chicken, but instead she accidentally puts steak and carnitas, so I said it was okay since it was already in my burrito bowl. The steak was over cooked and dry, so it was unappetizing to eat with my meal since the meat is the main dish. I asked for extra rice and beans politely and she scoops a teaspoon worth. When I ask for extra, I expect the same amount as the first serving you put in my bowl, so that was kind of annoying to see how they were skimping my requests. Chips, too salty. They must have poured double the amount of salt in the chips because they were extremely salty and made me really thirsty during my meal. Overall, I’m not a fan of this chipotle because their food does not taste like most chipotle locations and they’re really stingy when you ask for extra. If anything they’ll give you one extra grain of rice or bean, even when you’re allowed to have more.

Whenever I’m back in my hometown, I never crave Chipotle. But whenever I’m in Davis, I crave this Chipotle. Their workers are pretty friendly and never hesitate to give me a bit more when I want a little bit more carnitas or steak :) But sometimes theres that one worker that be skimpin on you :(I usually get a burrito bowl(w/tortilla on the side) because it comes with more food than a burrito. I JUST recently tried guacamole with my burrito bowl and I HATEMYSELF for not having this earlier but now I hate myself because I’m going to be spending an additional $ 2 to add guac. because it’s worth it! *wallet cries* For all you trying to get the most out of Chipotle, just ask in a nicely way«can I get some a little bit more of that…» and 99% of the time, they’ll give you more! :D

Whenever I come here, the line is always backed up to the door! The line is long but it moves pretty quick. Staff is quick and serves generous amounts. I always get a burrito bowl with the tortilla on the side and ask for extra rice and corn. They only charge for extra meat so don’t hesitate to ask for a lil extra something. Food is consistent but sometimes the steak is flavorless and really chewy. So I stick to carnitas which is always moist.

I hate this location. They started to get really stingy with the portions here AND the prices raised up so the cheapest option(chicken) is $ 7.15 now. It was not even at their peak hours, but they literally gave me half of everything. one of the workers literally put 10 chopped up lettuce bits in my burrito bowl… If you dont want customers to ask for a little extra on everything, how about you dont try to rip us off.

It’s your standard chipotle! Except one thing I’ve noticed is that they really give out smaller portions of everything when you get a bowl, even when you ask for more. Staff can be a hit or miss sometimes. They sometimes don’t take BOGO coupons without any explanation, causing some frustration. Service could be better here. Food is good as always.
