Thrifty Tree Care

The business card I have is actually Thrifty Tree Care, Inc… but the phone number matches this business which was already on Unilocal.
Bought two face cords from Thrifty last season and they delivered and stacked and were friendly. First load was delivered from the owner, Kirk, second load delivered by an employee, both friendly guys, tipped them $ 15 as well for an affordable $ 85 face cord of mixed hardwood which burned nicely.
This year (2013) was looking to purchase wood for the season, my girlfriend called once and they said their truck was «down» or broken, and told us to call back near the weekend. I did, 3 or 4 days later, I left a message specifically stating I needed a face cord of wood delivered as soon as possible, and did not receive a call back.
Being a business owner myself, I do not understand if a repeat customer is ready and willing to buy from you, why you would not go the extra mile to take their number and setup an appointment for delivery at the first phone call (when he said the truck was broken), then to not return a phone message?!
Perplexing, maybe they ran out of wood or maybe business is so good they can afford to burn bridges and lose existing customers.
