I bought my dog from Myra before I knew anything about puppies. Maybe she bred him there, but I don’t think so, because when I asked to see the parents she said «I don’t let the mother see them before they leave.» She was operating out of her home in Aventura. I found her on the internet. She was rude, but I fell in love with my boy named Sam. He was healthy (luckily) and he lived to be 14 years old. While I had heard she had sold sick puppies, I cannot say mine was. Please be advised that I have been researching dogs and she is ordering them through a broker in Missouri. On July 10, she was delivered 2 Male Poodles, 1 Male Bichon. 1 Male Bichonpoo. My advice is she is buying from some mill some where and to find a breeder and buy direct. Go see the parents. Research. I bought a dog in a pet store once and he was sick his whole life.

I just got another Teddy Bear. Great temperament so he gets the 5 stars! I did have him checked out with my Vet who did a stool check. He had round worms. Vet said that it’s transmitted through the mothers milk and he medicated the puppy with a follow up in 2 weeks. Other than that he was fine. As a courtesy, I contacted Myra and informed her to get the puppys’ Mom checked out for round worms. Myra stated that she medicates all her dogs every 3 weeks.
Myra provides a 48 hour policy return policy. Like the others who reviewed here, I wanted to meet the mother and was told she was at the groomers. Also, I asked to see where puppies where kept and I perceived a reluctance. Unfortunately, due to a phone call she received, time passed and I got caught up with puppy and forgot about it. I didn’t remember until I had the dog in my car on our way home and by then I was far away. Initially, I was told that my puppy was a Shih Tzu and Bichon mix.. Upon review of the paperwork before signing, I noticed breed stated, Maltese and Shih Tzu. I brought it to her attention and she corrected the certificate to show Shih Tzu and Bichon and blamed her secretary for the error.

I purchased a male maltese from Myra and am very happy with my new furry friend! He is the absolute cutest puppy ever and is so sweet and loving. Below I’ve listed some pros and cons about working with Myra:
PROS:
— Beautiful teddy-​bear faced maltese
— No serious health issues to date
— Gorgeous coat
— Excellent temperament
— Her house was clean
— She was well-​prepared with info/​papers for a new owner
— Puppy had been vaccinated properly up to 4 months of age when I adopted him
— My friend, and several other people I’ve since met, have been happy with the pups they got from Myra
CONS:
— Puppy had kennel cough and a bacterial infection :(I was not reimbursed for any vet bills or medication because I declined going to her doctor (who is in Boca?!?). I realize this is a very common problem when purchasing from breeders because of the close quarters puppies live in, but it made me sad and relieved I adopted him into a happy healthy home. He had to spend his first 5 weeks with my indoors to help him get better.
— She’s very matter of fact; pretty down to business
— I didn’t meet the dog’s parents
— I didn’t see where the puppies sleep
Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase though a few things weren’t ideal during the process. What’s important is that I now have a dog who is happy and healthy! I would recommend friends go to Myra with the above knowledge. As always, do your homework and get to know the pups before decide to make this major decision.

We purchased a Bichon Frise from Myra several years ago. First off,“Powder,” is physically in excellent shape. I am not a dog expert and I don’t know if the Vet is trying to upsell me but I have, however, had two issues to deal with.
The first — the Vet said my dog needed a few teeth pulled out. Not knowing any better, I did it. I still to this day don’t know whether it was a necessary procedure or not.
The second — my dog had Cryptoorchidism — which basically means one of this testicles did not fall into the scrotum. It’s a recessive gene found among purebreds, particularly small dogs. Since I neutered my dog and was planning on doing so anyway, it’s a bit of a moot point, but if you’re planning on breeding — beware.
Other than that, my dog is a happy and most importantly healthy dog. I probably overpaid for Powder given that if one is purchasing a puppy from a breeder, it should sold for the purposes of breeding and what the buyer does afterward (most likely neutering) is a discretionary matter.
As a dog breeder I am pretty sure Myra is aware of these issues if she is indeed breeding from the same genetic line over and over.
However, my dog is very healthy otherwise, so I’ll consider myself lucky and happy with my purchase from her.

She is selling sick puppies. My puppy was checked by the vet less than 24 hours after bringing it home, she had kennel cough and pneumonia and a tick! She would not make herself responsible unless I brought the puppy back to an animal hospital in Boca Raton! If she is shipping these dogs and they are sick how can she expect someone to ship them back sick? I spoke with another person who bought another puppy from her 6 months ago and the same thing happen to them, ticks, kennel cough and a hug vet bill. DO NOT BUY FROM HER SHE IS DOING THIS FOR A PROFIT AND DOES NOT MAKE HERSELF RESPONSIBLE. If you check the reasons why a puppy would have kennel cough the first thing is PUPPY MILL!!! the second… BAD BREEDER!!!
