Gibson’s Book Store

Good store, plenty to chose from, and cheaper than Broward. Sometimes the buy-​back policies are frustrating however, like when buying a brand new version of a book that costs almost two hundred dollars (because they won’t accept any other version at the school) and they trying to sell it back only to have them not take it, is pretty frustrating. Other than that, as for buying books, they are a go-​to place.

Only been here once but they had what we needed, quick service and great customer service. We will be back for sure!!!

Love this family style place for college texts… prices are considerable savings over the campus bookstore… they found all my stuff for me. I threw them a curve ball and asked for an obscure programing book I use to have. They dug but didn’t find it :(but a phone call and they said it would be here thursday… awesome. Loving the personal touch.

Gibson’s has been around for a long time, every time I go in the employees have been nice, every time I went in I was the only customer there, that may be a reason they were polite to me. They are always helpful, if you want to sell a book you can call them and ask if they buy it or not, or even email them and wait for a response (less than an hour for me) I dont live close to Davie so that is much more convenient for me.
The only thing I did not like was when I sold a book last december they gave me a voucher without telling me first I would have to wait for the money, but that wasnt really a big deal to me but for a student not working may need the money right away, so ask first.
They pay you better prices than the school I go to across the street and books cost less from them as well. They are a great little company.

Gibson’s has been supplying textbooks in Davie for a long, long time. Their prices are usually better than the school bookstore, and they have more used books available.
BUT, be prepared for rude service. I guess dealing with students can be frustrating, and Gibson’s employees won’t hesitate to take out their frustration on the customers. Their return policies are strict, arbitrary and change often. You will probably get the book you want for a good price there, but be careful to read all of the many signs in the windows, flyers on the counter, and possibly papers stapled to your receipt. Any one of them may contain vital information.
