Reserved in advance for 6 family members (kids and adults), all beginners. We took the one and a half hour trail package, it was perfect — a little mix of forest and meadow. They were very cautious about matching us with the right horse. We were explained what to do and not. You can rent a helmet or take your own. Overall very good experience, we will definitely come back. The horses are well taken care of. Thanks for experience.

Super cool ranch and experience! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday last year for their trail ride. I think it lasted an hour and a half, and it was BEAUTIFUL. They show you everything you need to know and they take you all over their ranch and on their equestrian trail in the shaded woods. We had such an excellent and super fun time. Everyone in the staff was really cordial and helpful and patient (especially with me!) and all the horses behaved well. You could tell the staff really loved what they did and cared for the horses. I highly recommend this place for anyone to experience, whether novice or experienced. Also as a tip, bring some fresh healthy veggies for the horses! They allowed us to feed them before and after the rides :)

This was fun. never been on a horse before. Older Lady with short hair needs an attitude adjustment seems to have less patience than the other employees for beginners. However, Even as a beginner I got bored quickly with the trail.. They need to pick up the pace or give a chance to run throughout the trail.

Let’s start of with I’m a beginner rider but my boyfriend is an expert one. They ask you in the beginning what level you are but it doesn’t matter because we both were in the same group doing the same trail which I found confusing. Also I’m from Georgia so maybe I’m just not used to Florida manners but there was this woman with short blonde hair that was just rude anytime she talked to me. She knew I was a beginner but she talked to like I should’ve known certain things better. I gave two stars because they are nice horses and the man who gave the instructions was really nice. I don’t recommend this place.

Let me try to explain this as best as possible, especially considering the fact that I’m not sure I totally understand myself.
Reservations are not required on the weekend but should be strongly recommended before driving all the way out there.
The other ride operates as first come first serve but only goes at at specific times (from what I can gather). I asked this question ten different ways and got a run around on the answer ten different times, so I assume that they have specific times this ride leaves but I am still not sure as they never said that specifically.
They accept cash only so be ready for that.
Rain checks are provided only if your ride has not left the immediate grounds.
They seem very friendly but are not aware of how to clearly state the way in which the rides work. They probably deal with an enormous amount of idiots all the time so I understand.
I will be back, with a reservation and see if I can get on a horse.

Took my 16 year old son. It was al lot more fun that what I thought it would be. Great team they have there, they’re patient, fun, and informative. For $ 50 per hour in a half, it’s amazing. More over, 95% of their horses are saved for the Humane Society. That’s a plus for animal lovers everywhere ;)

I’ve been to the Bar-​B– Ranch for trail rides on several occasions. I have done private rides, and group rides, both of which need reservations. The horses appear to be well taken care of, and the equipment is in good shape. Even after I bought my own horse, I went on trail rides with friends at the ranch. I definitely would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a relaxing, afternoon ride.

I live in Seattle and was on vacation in Florida. While there, I wanted to ride horses and try out a different terrain than I was used to. I am an experienced rider and was looking for somewhere I could do more than just a basic trail ride. If you are an advanced rider I suggest signing up for the private ride. If you are a beginner, the group ride would be a good one to take because it costs a lot less and you stick to more basic skills. When we got there, we were allowed to say hello to the horses. Then we were given a talk about the basic commands. They then paired you up with a horse. I was given Chief who I absolutely adored. My sister and I were on a private ride so we were assigned a guide. The trails were big, open and sandy and there were big open meadows perfect for cantering through. On this ride we were allowed to walk, trot and canter. My sister and I had a very enjoyable ride in a different environment than we were used to. Thank you so much Miranda!(our guide)

Bar b ranch is the ultimate place in broward to ride horses. I took my daughter on Sunday and was extremely pleased with the entire experience. The horses are some of the finest I’ve ever seen at a riding stable. They are healthy and beautiful. There is a great equestrian park to ride in. I would recommend the 90 min ride for $ 50. It was awesome. Steve H

Great place to take the kids horse riding, very nice people and service!!!
Call ahead for appoiments to go out with a group for a longer ride, the horses are very well taken care off and the price its not bad at all !!
My little one got a pony ride which I had to walk the pony around a big area, nice and peaceful area!

I read some old reviews and saw some bad reviews. I am shocked because I have only a great review to tell. I just came back from horseback riding at Bar B Ranch and had an amazing experience. The boyfriend and I went for our first time. The instructors were incredibly nice and very helpful! I had a great time and I am looking forward to going again. This was a great experience.

This is a great place if you are looking for a standard trail ride. The cost is a very reasonable $ 50 for a decent ride between 1 — 1.5 hours. You can call ahead to make your appointment and they have more than enough horses to take care of large groups. They take you through a large park in the area which is very relaxing, along the way they will allow you to trot from time to time.
I really commend this place for adopting horses from the Humane Society and rehabilitating them, its great to know that there are some good people out there. If you are an experienced rider and would like to do your own thing or go faster than trotting from time to time it is suggested you find a place that will accommodate this for you.

My significant other took the nature path trail ride today, which cost $ 45. She had a blast. Said that everything was good and that you had the opportunity to trot and even gallop a bit. They advertise that you get a 1.5 hour ride, but it lasted a good two hours, not including their introductory symposium on riding.
The only reason this place doesn’t get a five is because I didn’t ride myself. Will update.
