Staybridge Suites Davenport

I have stayed close to 30 nights here over the last few months and all of the nights were very pleasant. The staff was always happy and courteous when I arrived and when I left. I’m horrible with names, but every single person I met seemed to enjoy their job and it definitely showed during my interactions. They definitely get a gold star for service and attitude!
The beds were soft and very comfortable. The rooms were very well laid out and spacious for an extended stay facility. The location was very quiet and allowed for a dark and restful sleep. I was impressed.
The breakfast buffet was very nice. They have fresh waffles and the toppings, fresh eggs (style changes daily), cereal, fruit, bagels and bread. The coffee is decent. Lots of juices and soda options. On certain evenings, they host an «evening social» and provide various food options that changes each day (eg taco night).
The Internet was recently upgraded and is now blazing fast for streaming movies.
My only complaint was that the gym was horrible. The universal machine was antiquated and the mechanics of it had me fearful of causing an injury. There are virtually no free-​weights over 10#. The treadmill and eliptical are functional but seem old. If you need to exercise and will be staying long– term, the YMCA is directly across the street and is something like $ 12/​day but it is almost always very crowded and it closes at 9p during the week.

Very nice room and in s great location for restaurants good value for the money. Tuesday they Thursday they offer free drinks and food

I am becoming more and more a big fan of these lower priced long stay properties, that have a parking lot instead of valet (and without the $$$), do not charge for internet, and provide a free breakfast. I was in town for business for 2 nights. Check in was fast and friendly (although friendliness in Iowa is par for the course) and the room was great. A kitchen area with everything you need, a large comfy King sized bed, blackout curtains that had no gaps, and a clean bathroom. I didn’t experience any problems with my stay, but can’t give higher stars because the breakfast was not that great. The eggs at breakfast on both days were really awful, and although they were different preparations, still probably from a carton. My rant about these motel breakfast buffets: There is always some hard working dedicated employee (usually a woman) who takes great pride in providing breakfast for hotel guests, making the presentation nice, checking supply levels frequently, etc. Just give her some good eggs! She’ll make them twice as good. Rant over.
One other (minor) drawback. I heard people coming in at 2 AM… where they went in Davenport until that hour I have no idea… so my room was not that quiet.
P. S. This hotel is walking distance (like a block) to some great dining and drinking options, and the hotel lists them in the lobby. Nice touch.

Typical Staybridge, I’ve seen worse and I’ve seen better. The oatmeal for breakfast tastes like the plastic it was cooked in and the coffee is iffy at best. It was quiet though and it’s close to anything you may need.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great service, quiet, nice rooms… Pool and fitness rooms were very nice and very clean. Definitely staying again when in the area.

My husband stayed here last week for business. He was doing some training at the Davenport location of the restaurant chain he works for. He arrived Tuesday and I joined him Friday. We could not have been more satisfied.
The hotel is comfortable and welcoming. The staff is very friendly. The room was large, with a small kitchen area (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave), king-​sized bed, desk and sitting area. There was a big flat-​screen TV with lots of channels. They have a free breakfast buffet every morning with a large selection. During the week they have «social time» where they cook dinner for their guests and serve it for free. They have a pool and hot tub and a «pantry» store where you can buy food to munch on or make in your room.
We were in a pet-​friendly room and had our dog with us. It was only $ 10 extra (per day) to bring him along. What a deal!!! Most places charge much more and require a deposit.
If we even return to Davenport, Staybridge Suites will be our first choice.

Pretty good place to stay. Good value for the dollar. Big suite, friendly staff and very nice neighborhood.

A very nice hotel. The rooms are comfortable and convenient.
Myrna was so friendly and helpful at the breakfast area. Hotel is a great location, close to shopping and restaurants.

A modern and clean Staybridge. Good hotel as usual.
