The shredded cheese on tacos is on point! But that’s about it… The meat has zero seasoning, the tacos are overpriced, their hot sauce is good but it’s not hot. I like a hot sauce that makes my nose run or perspire a little. But the absolute worst part about this place, No Dr. Pepper!!! If I ever go back I’ll probably just try to buy a bag of shredded cheese, go home, and make my own tacos.

I love Rudy’s! I live in Oregon now where there are plenty of «authentic» Mexican restaurants or very Americanized fast food type of Mexican restaurants. For me, Rudy’s is the perfect balance between the two. The overall seasoning is very unique with a good atmosphere. Several ex-Quad-Citians on FB also crave it. This one is very close to my childhood home, but I find the quality to be consistent at all the franchises. Also, the prices are very affordable.

Rudy’s Tacos used to actually be a decent place to eat. It’s not authentic Mexican, but it was pretty good for«Gringo Mexican.» That place went downhill fast. I guess I can’t speak for all Rudy’s as they are independently owned. I went in to eat. Ordered some chips and salsa as an appetizer. I’m not kidding they gave me yellow store bought tostitos, and some pace picante sauce. I know it was, because I use Pace at home. I told them I didn’t even want them because I knew they were store bought. I could have went to the grocery store and bought a bag of chips and some salsa and gotten the exact same thing. Secondly I have a friend who worked there for years, and told me many times all their food is pre-made hours earlier, and sits in a fridge until ordered, then microwaved. Everything about this place has gone downhill. It’s no surprise the Rudy’s on Brady Street closed. The only customers they got were the 2AM drunk crowd who were usually so wasted they couldn’t tast what they were eating anyways.

Rudy’s Taco’s has been providing quality Mexican food in the Quad-Cities for over 30 years. If they’ve been in business that long they must be doing something right. Rudy’s sells typical Mexican fare;tacos, burritos, etc. I’ve always enjoyed their Tacos, it’s really the only thing i’ve ever ordered, but I have«sampled» other items off others plates and found them delicous as well. The homemade hot sauce on the tables is fantastic. This location is newer so things are still clean and in good condition.

I wish I could say something good about this place, it was roomy and seemed pretty clean. But that’s about it.

I eat Rudy’s all the time, and it seems like it’s going down hill. the beef enchiladas are getting smaller. On 6÷29÷14 the enchiladas were very hard on the ends and very thin, the tacos when you picked them up, the bottom just fell out being so soggy, which was a shock because any other time I get it the meat is really dry and I have to poor the sauce on it to get it down my throat. After this $ 30 meal I think I’m done with this Rudy’s or maybe even all of them. If you guy seem to screw your heads on and put quality back on your menu, then I try again, but after 25 plus years I’m not coming back. Been eating when Brady street had one and the one one on 3 rd or 4th street.

Pretty good food. Nothing amazing but good nonetheless. I had the chicken enchiladas and rice and found that the portions were average. Apart from that I found the general atmosphere to be nice. Bottom line — food is good and service is average.

This food is boring. I ordered take out and I wish I’d just gone to Taco Bell. I don’t know how this place has so many locations. Not to mention I paid over $ 10. Azteca is the same price and taste like actual food that someone with culinary art skills could make. Seriously if you eat here it will be a one and done. Don’t waste your time. Go eat Azteca for a better meal. If you want really good Mexican go to Los Agovas.

Definitely a quad cities classic. Probably not super authentic Mexican fare, but I love it. The ground beef enchiladas are my favorite. I think this location has improved its food quality in the past couple years. I grew up eating at the west 4th st location which is probably the best, but west Kimberly is delicious too. Love the drive thru pickup window.

Don’t waste your money, taco bell is better. The food is tasteless and the meat inside my burrito was as dry as chalk dust. The salsa wasn’t even good, and I have never been to a mexican restaurant where they don’t give you chips and salsa when you sit down to order. I will say the service was great, but that was because there was no one else in the place. I won’t be going back.

Shame on me for trying this place a 2nd time. The first visit was to the The Village of East Dav location. I got the sancho and it tasted like pot roast rolled up in a tortilla. It was very salty and the taste and shredded beef just wasn’t pleasing to the palette. So fast forward 6 months and I decided to try the West D. location. The food was terrible. I figured I would stick with the basics(I told myself that I went too *exotic* the first time around). I ordered beef tacos and the super nachos. Tasteless slop is what I got. The nachos were in desperate need of some salt and I have never seen re-fried beans on nachos. I will chalk this up to a QC thing — so I kept it movin’. Maybe it’s me, right? Onto the tacos. DRYDRYDRY. What the heck? They looked good, smothered in cheese, but even the cheese was tasteless. Again, the whole entrée needed seasoning. I thought I could salvage it by drenching it in the salsa that was provided. But it as also tasteless, it was like putting water on my taco. I will end on this note — the guacamole that came on the side of my nachos was prepackaged. Yeah, in a plastic pouch as if it was ketchup you just«squirt» on. ‘Nuff said. Skip this tasteless slop. I try and find a positive with each review — in this case the service was excellent, it’s a shame the product continues to be sub par.
