La Quinta Inn Davenport & Conference Center

Dirty, smelly and just gross. Not only worst La Quinta I have ever been in, but worst hotel too. I have seen crummy motels nicer than this. VERY nice and friendly staff, but need customer service training. Don’t just hand a key to someone without explaining where the room is. The bathroom is literally falling apart at the seams.

I’ve been in worse hotels but this is the worst La Quinta I’ve been at. Our room smelled moldy, the blanket on our bed was itchy and had burn marks on it. Everything just seems slightly dirty. It’s the type of hotel were you take a scolding hot shower at in hopes to make you feel cleaner

My wife & I have traveled across the country 3 different times and La Quinta is almost always where we stay, unless a La Quinta is not available. We have always been pleased with our stays but unfortunately this location didn’t quite do it for me. I read online that they had a fitness center which was a huge appeal, but I was disappointed to see that the ‘fitness center’ consisted of a stationary bike, treadmill, and elliptical. The elliptical sounded like it was going to fall apart when I used it, and I couldn’t get the treadmill to turn on. Further, despite being in a no smoking room, I could smell cigarettes in our room, but I don’t know if that was coming from an adjacent room or from outside. regardless, it was off putting.
Despite those two negative setbacks, the stay was decent and the hot breakfast was a great start to our day of traveling.

Had good reviews on Priceline but what a dump. Fighting in the next room from 6 – 2 am when I asked to move. Trash and towels left in the hall all day. Needed some serious renovations in the room. Toilet ran all night… complained and never fixed. Every day for breakfast biscuits and gravy. It’s okay but switch it up. Had to use my hand sanitizer on everything. If I hadn’t pre paid I would have moved. GROSS hotel

Driving across the country with a large dog was not my idea of a good time. We stayed in a different kind of hotel each night and, while I know that pet-​friendly places may not be the fanciest, this place was horrible. I thought the idea of linens and bed accessories that didn’t get washed with every stay were a thing of the past… not here! I didn’t want to walk around barefoot at all and the volume of hair I found in the bathroom was completely unnerving. I didn’t even have to look for it. Won’t be frequenting this exact location but this was bad enough to ensure I stay clear of La Quinta’s forever. Just NOPE!

We travel a lot with our dog and are therefore frequently staying at La Quinta hotels. This time we were traveling without our fur baby, and were given a regular room. I always inspect a hotel room when I first arrive (just one bad experience will teach you to do this). Anyways, I would give cleanliness a 2. There was some hair in the bed and on the toilet. There was also some trash in the hallway that was still there the next day. The hairdryer in the room ran normally for a few minutes, but then the motor slowed and it shot out some sparks. When I took it to the desk, the clerk looked at me and said «I’m out» and walked away. I was irritated and said to the now empty desk area «I guess I will just leave this death trap here then.» As I walked away the gentleman making breakfast came out of the kitchen area and I told him what happened. Also the towels were threadbare, and I feel that best symbolizes the condition of this hotel. Usable, but not quite up to standard.

Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling with a pet. Nice hotel for the price, not a fancy hotel but it’s a clean place to stay and breakfast was good as well. Definitely love that La Quinta doesn’t charge to have a pet stay.

Nothing fancy, but I needed a place to stay cheaply while I was in Iowa for the Burlesque Festival!
A little out of the way to downtown Davenport, but that’s alright. I found it to be just a pretty standard hotel. no issues with the staff or housekeeping.

It’s a bit old and dingy but that isn’t a dealbreaker for me when I’m doing work travel and just need a cheap place to crash for a couple of nights. Free wifi is also a plus. Check in whas quick and easy.
Noise and rudeness, on the other hand are a dealbreaker. All of these rooms have ajoining doors so you can hear everything going on in your neighbor’s hotel room. I imagine my neighbor is having to endure my conference calls as much as I am his. I just hope he can’t hear me peeing and flushing as clearly as I can hear him. Awkward… right?
Two hours after checking in I called the front office to see if they had any available rooms that weren’t ajoining that might be quieter. She was polite about asking me to hold while she checked but I could hear her and another employee talking about it very rudely saing «well maybe if her room isn’t dirty» and «all the rooms are ajoining what does she expect.» The did give me the option to move rooms «as long as I haven’t used anything» in my room yet, but I declined because it just didn’t seem worth the trouble. I’ll just stay somewhere else next time.

Day 2 edit: I checked in for two nights but after the first I had a checkout slip under my door. Luckily the woman working in the morning was helpful and got it corrected quickly. The ladies working the breakfast bar were great as well. Very friendly, greeting guests, all smiles.

My husband and I stayed here on a whim. We were too exhausted to drive the hour back home after a long stormy day of wedding activities. This hotel has pleasant front desk attendants and the room was very nice and clean. We didn’t use any ammenities, but we will not hesitate to stop here again.

The room was clean, ac worked, and shower/​tub drained. We were excited to use the indoor swimming pool, so went down there. It doesn’t have steps but a ladder, and with my back injuries, I had a very hard time getting into and out of the pool. Most hotels have steps going in and out of one. We didn’t use the pool again the other two days there due to it being very hard to go into. I was disappointed about that. The tv in the room is super old. The sounds echoed on it after it was on for a few minutes. The breakfast buffet is good, and was kept stocked, but they need more tables. I think if they removed that long table with the high chairs that are totally uncomfortable, and removed the sofa, put more tables in it would work much better. I have no complaint about noise, cleanliness, & the staff is super friendly. The parking lot needs to be patrolled at night though. Suspicious activity seems to be going on out there. I would stay again only because it is pet friendly. It’s hard to find a hotel in that area that allows pets. The good outweighs the bad. Sure wish they had steps into the pool, and not a ladder.

My boyfriend and I always stay here when visiting my hometown from Chicago. I’ve been booking here for the reasonable prices and the pool, which I’ve never found time to use anyway. I was excited for the remodel and the choices available at the desk. Was hoping that since we’ve stayed here so much and our room has not been booked for today that they would let us have a half day and charge half price. Especially since we were told yesterday by an employee that the manager would probably do it. Seemed to be a win, win. They don’t lose the whole day’s $ that they’re not booked for and we don’t have to drive around from noon until 5pm, before our plans, killing time. Very annoyed that they would not do this. We’ll have to find a new hotel next time, what a shame too that I just signed up for La Quinta Returns. Cancel, cancel. :(

This property recently went through a major refurbishment. It received a much-​needed facelift, the rooms have been updated, the lobby has been completely remodeled and there is all new carpeting.
The rates have gone up accordingly but it is a fine value for the cost.
This is my hotel of choice when I work in the QC area.

Needs updating! Yes, this is cheap, and safe, and reasonably quiet. However, it is so old and gross — bathroom fixtures with crusted on crud, finish peeling off the shower pan, chipped and sticky vanity. It is only kinda clean.

As to be expected of any La Quinta; a bit dingy but cheap.

I found this be a good value for the money (I paid $ 60/​night). Even though it’s indoors, the pool is a pretty decent size. The fitness equipment is outdated but still provides a good workout. The coffeemaker is my room was nice (a K-​cup style) and simple for making a single cup. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was nice, attractive, and clean. The hotel also offers a full breakfast (although they call it continental) with waffles, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, etc.
Two issues prevented me from giving this hotel 5 stars for its price range. First, the TV in my room emitted a constant, high-​pitched whine whenever it was turned on — making it impossible to watch. Second, I was placed in a room that had an adjoining door into the neighboring room. While the wall was soundproof, the door was not. I was unlucky enough to have a very inconsiderate family on the other side of the door that kept the noise level up until 3am (even after I twice asked them to be quieter). The family was the not the hotel’s fault, but the soundproofing issue with the door was.
The hotel just completed an exterior renovation and is beginning to renovate the interior. My hope is that the two issues that I had will be address when they redo the guest rooms.

This La Quinta inn is right near the Iowa/​Illinois border and not so far from the Quad City Airport.
Reasonable pricing and friendly services.
However, this hotel smells like stale cigarette smoke… all over. The room I had was ok but I was not impressed with the bathroom. There were some plastic (shell) in the bathtub that were cracked and peeling.
But, hey, free wi-​fi! That was all that mattered to me since I was only there for 2 nights.
