Dartmouth’s Own Roast Beef And Pizza

I’ve only had the kids RB which comes with a bag of chips. The RB is cooked perfect and tasty. I get it plain with pickles. The staff is friendly and bathrooms clean.

This place was ok… Got a take out order of roast beef and French fries… The roast beef was tender, and enough meat in the sandwich, but I was hoping for some more flavor. The French fries were good, just didn’t get a lot of them… Maybe I will try something else another time when I’m in the area…

Love this place. This is not some highend restaurant or fast food chain. Staff is always friendly and great with the kids when they come in. I have lived all over the country and tried a lot of roast beef shops, and this is by far the best place to get a sandwich. The fried food is greasy, if you don’t like that then get a salad.

If you’re passing by like I was, skip the fish and chips. French fries were so damn greasy I couldn’t eat them and the fish was just OK. I guess I Should Have got the roast beef sandwich.

The roast beef is amazing! The staff is always polite and attentive! Even 25 minutes away, I’ll come back weekly!

Stopped here today to satisfy a craving for fish and chips. It was well worth it! While unimpressive to look at, the restaurant was clean and the food delicious! I will be back.

My son had a roast beef sandwich & onion rings from here & said it was really good but took a little to long to be served.

Followed all the «now serving fish and chips» signs leading me to Dartmouth’s Own Roast Beef. I pass the place several times a week so I figured it about time to give the place a try. Ordered fish and chips. While I waited I noticed we’d be dining with a few flies and a yellow jacket. There was no other diners in the place so we had our choice of tables. We chose the table that had the least amount of scum on it ;all the tables were dirty.
I ignored that the seat was taped together with masking tape. There was a napkin dispenser on the table I put to use and wiped my own table. The over cooked fish served with a batter that I can only describe as a thick chewy blister was served with limp, over cooked (burnt-​brown) home made French fries. There was so much grease pooling on my plate I again put those napkins to good use. I lined my plate with them. I wish I had taken a picture. Words can’t discribe this meal. I can’t believe they even let this out of their kitchen. On the positive side the 2 staff members there seemed nice enough.

Ordered a Pizza from here and the smell was amazing. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but the inside is very clean and respectable. Manager was there making the pizza. Ordered a second time and it was just as good as the first. Highly recommend.

I have to say that this place sucks. I ordered delivery of onion rings, a steak bomb, and a large pizza. The onion rings were sent in a grease soaked paper bag and were badly burned. The steak bomb was filled with chucks of fat that I feed to my dog. The pizza was half raw and reminded me of a frozen from shaws. Never again

Last night Tuesday 24^th of March, it was around 9pm, I want to get a pizza, stop in here and had the large pepperoni half with mushrooms and the other half with greenpeppers, shared it with my friend. The dough and its toppings was one of the best I have had. The Owner toldus to take our time, he closed at 9:30pm, did not feel rushed, he was so professional. The booth was comforable and relaxing. Great place and will be back soon.

Great roast beef!!! The Pizzas are really good. We had a huge party and they delivered on time, everything hot. Try them. You will end up adding them to your speed dial list.

Great food at reasonable prices. Small family owned near UMass. Try the French dip with au Jus.

My family & I love Dartmouth’s Own Roast Beef & Pizza! I work down the street & they deliver hot fresh food every time, without fail. Their roast beef is delicious & tender. They make my sandwiches to order with all my special requests. One time they forget to give me ketchup for my fries & when they realized they made a special trip just to bring the ketchup! Who does that these days??? Not many businesses I know of. My favorite is their grilled chicken BLT. The chicken is moist & flavorful, the tomatoes are fresh & they aren’t stingy with the bacon either. The staff are super friendly & always willing to help out any way they can. I recommend everyone check this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

Don’t waste your time or money here. Ordered and when I went in to pick up the order the pizza was cold. I was told 20 min, so why not Hot pizza? The place was dirty, disorganized and needs a make over. Roast beef was loose and uncovered near an open back door, where flies could land on it. Gross fries, taste exactly like frozen ones. Service was average, no plates for pizza offered or around.

The food was really delicious. However when we came in, the person who I assume is supposed to be taking orders and clearing tables spent the entire time talking to two patrons. While I approve of a friendly staff, it isn’t appropriate to make newcomers wait at the register until the chef rolls his eyes at the fact that they have to leave their station to do someone else’s job. She even looked at us, and I smiled as I caught her eye, and she just kept talking. The service, once she did get back to work, was very slow, and eventually she was back to talking and not paying attention to customers. If I go there again, it will be for pickup, because the food was that good.

This place is such a gem! The roast beef is incredibly delicious. One of the best. Right up there with Kelly’s roast beef in Boston. The pizza is really awesome too. I only had a bite of my boyfriends slice but he loved it! I heard someone say that someone ordered pizza with roast beef on it! Whoa!
To piggy back on the hard work… Everyone who works here seems really dedicated to the success of the place. I just get a very positive vibe.
Can’t wait be in the area again to try more on the menu!
