These bagels are the best bagels in Fairfield county. The service is nice and awesome. I love it so much. I recommend it to all my friends. I work in an office nearby and we’ll all go out to lunch and eat here. Once again the staff is remarkable. They’re always willing to help to get the best bagel sandwich possible.

One would think that a business providing service would not roll their eyes at me and be annoyed when asked to cut the bagels for a kids school breakfast. The two men working at 9:30am on Thursday May 26, 2016 should be replaced with people who care about customer service a bit more or go through some pretty intensive training before being unleashed on the public.

The best bagel you will ever have. I crave their everything bagels with cream cheese. I miss the days when«UCBC» was just good old Upper Crust Bagel, but this is always a go to for me

This particular location very good. The front desk staff working the counter are excellent and very friendly. I ordered the hellfire chicken and it was fresh and delicious. I can’t wait to come back and try some of their salads and other excellent wraps.

Overpriced, mediocre bagels. I’m also pretty sure mine was from the day before. There are WAY better options in the area…

I won’t go back until the two men behind the counter are better trained in customer service and they get those two disgustingly filthy upholstered chairs cleaned.

We love their bagels! Keep in mind, bigger and cheaper is not always better… Have had their bagels many times and the egg bagel is my fav. Fluffy, chewy and crusty outside. Sandwiches looked delicious too, but we’ve always stuck to the bagels. Bacon egg and cheese was a little too«healthy» for my taste(ie. totally not greasy) but I’m sure most people love it like that. Everything else is always great!

Watch what you buy. Bagels ok, but not special. Lunch sandwiches are 8 bucks. Some good, but expensive. Some are a joke. Prosciutto & tapenade… one slice of prosciutto, thin smear of tapenade, couple of basil leaves. on a miniature baguette. Nice sandwich, but come on! this sandwich has a seven dollar markup. There plenty of values around, just not here.

I’m not a fan of this extremely over-priced and very average bagel shop. There are MANY better places within a 10 minute drive to get bagels. I have two issues: 1) The bagels are not that big compared to other places, but yet they cost more. 2) The taste is fine, but nothing special. I get that it’s in the middle of charming little Darien, and that they have a play area for kids while the moms gossip and fret about life, so of course people will always go there. But if you really want a good bagel for a fair price, this isn’t the place. Oh, and my daughter won’t even eat their rainbow bagel because she doesn’t like the taste, so if she had a Unilocal user ID, I’m pretty sure the review would be 1 star as well :)

The bagels are pretty good — not amazing but very tasty. My issue is the cream cheese; it has absolutely no flavor. In my humble opinion(mind you — not a new york city native so I can’t pretend to be an expert) cream cheese should have a nice, every so slightly cheese-sourish flavor. Whipped or spread, both work for me. Upper crust cream cheese is more the whipped variety and tastes like marshmallowy air. nothing. Taking a lick of the cream cheese with no bagel at all is like eating a goopier version of cotton. I can’t explain it, but I know I don’t really like it.

I didn’t eat lunch at my jobsite’s cafeteria, so I figured I’d just get something on the way back to the city. I wanted an easy sandwich so when I saw«…Bagel Company & Deli», I figured that this would work. Well it did. At first I asked for a scoop of the pesto chicken. That had a very decent flavor, but unfortunately there was that little bit of cartilage that you sometimes get with a chicken sandwich. That was a definite turnoff and if I had had a whole sandwich this review would have been horrible. The cartilage issue then brought me to my second choice… the Hell Fire Chicken. This was not bad. It definitely wasn’t «Hell Fire», but it did have a zip to it. It’s like eating a basic medium level hot wing on a long roll. In the end, I got what I wanted and the other food looked good enough to come back again. Besides the place was clean and inviting. So don’t let the critical New Yawker review deter you.
