The UPS Store

I hate to write bad review but the two girls working there (one being the manager) were rude and seem to have something to prove. They insisted on using a larger box even though I chose a smaller, less expensive box. I tried not to pay and attempted to cancel the transaction, but was told that since my items were boxed, I would have to pay. I drive a few more miles to a very friendly UPS location, in Spanish Fort.

Hah — I forget about this place until Ash reviewed it. As a regular I can say:
Great location;
Super-​nice people.
Prices are high;
While friendly service is unbelievably slooowwwww;
Fax machine and scanner are always down;
It is always hot in there — I know because a simple shipment can take up to 20 minutes.
Wish there was a better option.

I was finally getting around to shipping my baby neice’s first pair of flip flops, my nephew’s new rubber chicken (I get him one every year. It’s our thing.), and my mom’s birthday present. I was all proud and accomplished walking into the UPS Store.
The guy working was helpful and friendly. We started to get it all packed up and check out. The shipping was to be $ 23, which wasn’t bad. Then he told me the charge for the box was $ 15. This is a normal cardboard box; the kind they give away at grocery stores. FIFTEEN DOLLARS for a cardboard box! If I’m going to pay $ 15 for a cardboard box, it better be full of furry little puppies with puppy breath!
Needless to say, I politely told him «thank you, but I think I’ll go find my own box and come back.» He laughed and said that a lot of people do that.
Dang, UPS, I’m pretty sure Fred Smith gives away Fed Ex shipping supplies. Consider doing the same, or at least price them reasonably.

the service at this store is good but it is very expensive… they always try to add extra packing which adds to the price…
