Our nearly 16,000 square foot building hosts Threads of Time Creative Sewing, a premier store in the Midwest. Threads of Time offers a full line of Janome sewing machines, thousands of bolts of fabric, a spacious showroom with artful displays and an expert staff who provide personal attention.

We are also a retreat center where sewists and quilters can come, stay over-​night and sew in the company of friends. We are able to accommodate 48 sewers, quilters, knitters and crafters at one time and accommodates 36 retreaters overnight.

We’re proud of the dynamic, creative community we serve and hope to offer a place of inspiration and encouragement to all who enter our doors.

History

Established in 2006.

After a year and a half of researching quilt shops, Bill and Missi Gouty decided to open up a destination-​style fabric store. The building was purchased on August 1, 2006, and the store opened on November 1, 2006. e look forward to hosting you and providing for your artistic needs, both in our retreat center and in the fabulous attached quilt shop, Threads of Time with more than 4000 bolts of fabrics, hundreds of the newest notions and a complete book and pattern studio.

After a year and a half of researching quilt shops, Bill and Missi Gouty decided to open up a destination-​style fabric store. They have renovated the entire space, creating a spacious retail and retreat space. We can’t wait to meet you!
