Established in 1995.

Though Dr. Attaran sees trauma/​reconstructive patients at John Muir Medical Center (and enjoys doing so), our practice has focused on cosmetic surgery since inception.

Our practice is located in the Victorians immediately off highway 680 on San Ramon Valley Boulevard in Danville, CA.

Doctor Attaran has extensive training and experience in all areas of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Attaran went on to received his medical degree at Northwestern University. He then completed a full general surgery residency. His plastic surgery residency was at Georgetown University where he trained with the most talented individuals, often innovators of the latest plastic surgery methods.

His further interest to strive for excellence in the art of aesthetic surgery led him to do additional training in cosmetic surgery with the Aesthetic/​Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at Georgetown University/​Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland.

I went to Dr Attaran in August 2014, specifically for Botox shots on between my brows, and when I did not get the results (no change whatsoever!!), I normally get when I get the shots from Dr. Hegg (who’s practice he has taken over after Dr. Hegg’s untimely death), I went back to Dr. Attaran — only to find out that he had injected me with some cheap stuff not approved by FDA and without consulting me first and without my approval to use any other product other than Botox. I would never use anything not approved by FDA. He was very unprofessional and unethical. I have a complaint with the Medical Board.

Dr. Attaran has earned the reputation as being «The Fixer». Do yourself a favor and see Dr Attaran first. It will save you THOUSANDS of dollars and disappointment. I won’t go into the details of what a mess my first abdominoplasty was, but I can say that now, not quite 4 weeks post-​op I am over the moon happy with my results!

Dr. Attaran is an mazing surgeon! He is the best. I found him to be very thorough thoughtful, caring, down to earth and an expert at what he does. Most importantly, his office manager Melinda (she has since moved on to another clinic) is completely knowledgeable about medical practice, billing, and the many resources at her disposal. Melinda has a soothing and loving manner about her, and she made all the paperwork easy.

I had such an overall positive expereince with Dr. Attaran and his office that I was compelled to sign up for Unilocal and write about it. I decided ten years ago that I wanted breast implants. I am a nurse. I have spent the last decade researching my options and saving money. A friend of mine, who is also a nurse, recommended I see Dr. Attaran as she was very pleased with her experience with him. I had already researched other surgeons in the area and was frequently turned off by their pretentiousness in their advertising or descriptions from friends/​coworkers. From the minute I met Dr. Attaran I felt at ease. He spent an hour and a half conducting my initial consultation. He throroughly explained the procedure and my options. It was very apparent that he was a knowledgable and meticulous practitioner. I had appointments lined up with other surgeons which I decided to cancel because I was certain I had found the right doctor. He spent one hour at my pre-​op appointment, making sure that they two of us had the same vision for my desired outcome. At the surgery center (which was very well run — I even received a phone call from the anesthesiologist the night before my surgery to see if I had any questions), Dr. Attaran’s bedside manner and professionalism calmed by fears. I am completely happy with my results. I have the breasts I wanted for a very long time. I never once felt uncomfortable, rushed, or ripped off. I felt that I got the highest quality of care possible. Additionally, Dr. Attaran’s office manager, Melinda, is amazing. She helped me schedule appointments during my lunch hour, she emailed me paperwork and she called to check up on me a few days after my surgery. As you can tell, I am 100% satisfied with the care I received and I would recommend Dr. Attaran to my dearest friends and loved ones.

This surgeon is incredible. I can not recommend him highly enough.
I won’t get into details but I severed a tendon in my hand and Dr. Attaran performed the «re connection». I was on only on local anesthesia and to be perfectly honest, I could have slept through the procedure, no pain. My hand is as good as new now. I felt his fee was very reasonable and he also made sure I came back for a few check-​ups after the procedure, very helpful. His staff is excellent as well. If you need surgery, this is the doctor to go to…

OK… so had previous work done (nose — back in 2007) and was very happy w/​the surgery, the doctor, the experience as a whole. So when it was time to for my new boobs… yes — I said boobs… well — Dr. Attaran was the man to see. He spent almost 2 hours with me, discussing the procedure, taking measurements, showing pictures of other augmentation surgeries (good and bad), discussing over and under the muscle pros/​cons and even spent some time telling me that he didn’t think that I really needed to do anything at this stage (at first glance, that all changed once he started measuring my frame and such)… anyway — when all was said and done — he and I came to an agreement that it would happen… and in less than 2 weeks! I’m not one to wait around for something so exciting to happen! I can’t even begin to say how ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED I am with the girls… I told him a solid «D» — no less… and to actually «err on the side of bigger»… and he certainly delivered… it’s been almost 8 months since my surgery — and I’m still a «DD» (same as the day after my surgery). As a side-​note: they don’t look as huge as they may sound — they are absolutely perfect for my frame — just as he said they would be… I tell everyone that he’s the «man» for any plastic surgery. He is meticulous and amazing… if even a bit conservative. You must meet him… and see what he can do for you! You will be happy that you did… I promise!

I first saw Dr. Attaran in September 2007 for a consultation. I really liked his bedside manner, but wasn’t ready to go ahead with surgery. In July 2008, I decided to bite the bullet (due in large part to Melinda’s friendly personality) and had a tummy tuck. The results Dr. Attaran achieved were nothing short of miraculous. I came away feeling like that «girl I always wanted to be». I almost cried the first time I put on a bikini and saw my new belly. I have since had liposuction on my hips to help smooth out some of the other problem areas.
Dr. Attaran is very honest and intelligent. His sense of humor is very dry, but funny. He is honest and straightforward; this is not a doctor who will do needless surgery on you. If you don’t needs something that you want done, he will flat out tell you it’s a waste of money.
Dr. Attaran is my surgeon of choice. Both times I have had procedures with him, there has literally been NO BRUISING. I was and am amazed at the results he achieved.
One small complaint though, be patient. Dr. Attaran has a tendency to run a bit late, but his treatment of you while you are under his care negates this in it’s entirety.
Any procedure you have with Dr. Attaran will be done with absolute perfection and artistry. He’s a true professional and a magician with a scalpel.
