Hair By Missy

OMG! Missy is the best hair dresser around town. My bridal hair was amazing and STAYED the WHOLE NIGHT! She also did all of my 5 bridemaids, 1 flower girl, my mom and sister in law! I told Missy do her thing and be creative (I mean she is the expert right?) and she nailed it. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else to do bridal hair besides Missy. She has a real talent for what she does.

As a wedding planner, I have referred brides to Missy for years and everyone says how much they love her. So, when it was my turn to be the bride (July 2015), there was no other option. I knew Missy would do an amazing job. I was so indecisive on my style because I love her up-do’s as well as her down curls. She works with you to create a style that you love and thinks about the overall look (dress, jewelry, location, etc.) which not everyone does.
She’s professional, fun, sweet and her prices are reasonable, not to mention, she’s like a built in best friend the day of your wedding, she’s so genuinely happy for you on your big day. She’s a blessing to have around!

I never actually saw Missy. So why am I writing her a review? Because, her customer service is awesome. Missy is fast and responsive with new client inquiries unlike so many other wedding vendors. She is flexible and agreeable and willing to work with you.
Why didn’t I go with her? Because during certain times of the year, many makeup stylists only want to do HAIR AND MAKEUP for weddings. So, if I found a reasonably priced makeup stylist I liked, I’d pair her with Missy.
Missy is fabulous with customer service, and the other reviews speak for her talents.

I’ve been going to Missy for about 8+ years now. Hands down, she’s amazing! Some people can do hair from a recipe. Missy puta the artistic and creative touch in it. Making the «bam» seem so naturally incorporated. I went to get my hair done today and I over heard a well seasoned hair stylist asking Missy what he should do give a particular hair type and how he should incorporate a color. It confirmed to me that my girl is THE SHIT! She is! Just tell her what you are thinking and she will put a picture to your thoughts. So amazing!

I have been going to Missy for years and I love her! She is energetic, fun, and adventurous. She also gives great advice about my hair and listens to what I say. My hair looks great since coming to her. I am a fan! Book in advance because she is a busy girl. I always book my next appointment while I am there.

I have been going to Missy for YEARS! Of course like many people, I moved around a lot and never found anyone like Missy. When I moved to San Diego, I would drive up to the East Bay on weekends just to see Missy. She always deals with my crazy hours and my indecisive mind. :-) My Hair always comes out beautiful and healthy. I’ll continue to go to Missy whenever I need a sweet do.

WOW! Missy is amazing! Let me tell you how I know. I had book a lady to do my wedding hair and make up about 6 months before my wedding. I wanted a full up-​do. She said we needed to do a trial about a month before the wedding. I went, it was AWFUL! I was in shock, I couldn’t believe how bad it was. I didn’t know what to do, I only had 3 weeks until my wedding and here I was, out my deposit and with no hair person. We started hunting down available hair people, the first lady we found available we did a trial with, it wasn’t awful but not quite right. plus she was way over charging us, obviously we were desperate! (Ladies please book your trial hair earlier than a month out! Learn from my stressful tearful experience!!)
Then my sister found Missy. I thought there’s no way she available, but low and behold my wedding fell on her day off and she was kind enough to work! Wow I was over the moon and she even squeezed me in for a trial the Monday before my wedding. I couldn’t believe how much I loved the trial hair, it was amazing finally someone who understood what I wanted my hair to look like on my big day. She is also exactly the kind of person you want to be there all day on your wedding day. She has a wonderful bubbly yet calm personality and helped me stay relaxed. She is so skilled and seems to know exactly what you want and is able to create the perfect bridal up-​do. She also did my bridesmaids hair flawless, that was great too because she dint even do a trial on that up-​do. I had 7 bridesmaids with up dos and she wasn’t ever rushed or frazzled she even finished ahead of schedule. I was so lucky to get her on such short notice. Anyone looking for bridal hair call Missy right NOW and hope she is available! I can’t say enough how wonderful she is, and how much I appreciate her saving mine and my bridesmaids hair! Thank you Missy you are a life saver! I am looking forward to Missy doing my hair as a bridesmaid in my friends wedding! If I could I would give Missy 10 stars!

Seriously, got the best hair cut and color EVER today!!! Not only is Missy sweet and hilarious, she is SUPER talented.

Finally someone who can not only handle my wild, crazy hair… but someone who understands my hair and the reasons my hair does what it does… Missy is like a breath of fresh air, she is sweet, genuine, and honestly wants to give you a good do. Before her getting my haircut was nerve-​wrecking. Now I make my appointment every 7ish weeks perfectly confident that I will walk out happy (and lighter).
My hair is super super thick (heavy) and it has quite a wave/​curl going on on ⁴⁄₅ of my head. However, the top layer is super duper straight. She explained it like she is cutting two different heads… she has to attack with two different styles. Thank-​God someone understands.
Her prices are very reasonable and its easy to book with her. I love that she never tries to push products on you.
I would definitely recommend Missy… She was recommended to me and I am glad I went.

I haven’t written a review on anything in so long, however I had to get on again to say that Missy is extraordinary! After leaving San francisco, where I had good stylist, I searched for a decent stylist out here in contra costa. I never would have guessed that there would be someone as talented and just incredible as Missy. Of course, writing this review is a bitter/​sweet experience because I’d love to keep her to myself but she really should get all the props that she deserves. Haircuts are perfect and I’m yet to try other services but I have NO Doubt that she will be amazing at everything else. Shes just got a super natural talent! Can’t wait to see her again and try new things I’ve never done before.

I didn’t have time to search for a hair stylist until a couple weeks before my wedding which made me SUPER stressed out. I was struggling to find the perfect stylist and thanks to Unilocal I found Missy. After reading a lot of reviews and having an initial consultation with her I knew she would do a fantastic job. I immediately booked her to do my reception hair, and was not dissappointed. She was on time and ready to go (even though I wasn’t, sorry!) and even brought me a hairbrush to use after I mentioned that I forgot to pack and bring one to the hotel. My hair looked amazing, I felt amazing, and received so many compliments all night. She even stayed a bit later to do my sister and best friends hair as well. The best part about my hair was that it stayed in all night long. Even after I woke up the next morning, I had a perfect head of curls. Thanks Missy!

Missy has done my hair about 5 times, each time I absolutely love it! Highlighting, coloring, cutting and styling! She’s the best :)

I started seeing Missy after seeing another mom’s beautiful highlights. I got tired of paying the high price tag at Citro Salon. So I gave Missy a try. She greets you with a friendly and energetic attitude listening to your needs. We started with some gradual highlights and now after going to her several times, I am getting more highlights and LOVE IT… Keep in mind, I am asian so it’s hard to find a good stylist to get a color that isn’t too red. She did an ash undertone and it looks great everytime and is reasonable. Thanks Missy!

I’ve known Missy for a long time and she has been doing my hair even before she went to beauty school. She is truly gifted and has a good energy that wakes you up; in case you missed your morning coffee…
