Worst customer service ever. Manager never wants to call you back. They took off some skin tags on my face and now I have ugly scars. Wish they told me my to burn it to cut it off like other people who did it somewhere else and have to scars. Never go here. They just want money. Found them on Groupon. Should have known. That’s why there stars are three should be less.

This is an update to the review I gave back in February 2015… the treatment I received lasted over 1 year… It is now the end of May and am sort of in need of another treatment. Wow!

I am just literally so surprised at the negative reviews posted here — I am absolutely astounded!
I have been seeing Ellie and and her amazing staff for over 5 years. They are warm, professional, fun and interested in hearing what you treatment you want — from a professional and personal standpoint. Just chatting with the girls in the front is half the fun!
Further, Ellie is one of the few medical professionals I have seen that maintains a ‘natural look’ for herself (ladies you know what I mean — you’ve been to those other places!), which she encourages me to do as well.
I have never been upsold, in fact, when I asked about facial fillers, she advised me that my face was too petite and that she didn’t feel it would be the right look for me.
I absolutely trust her to be honest, caring and make me look ALMOST as gorgeous as she is, inside and out!

I cannot caution my fellow consumers strongly enough to avoid Essential Aesthetics, or at least Ellie Zarnegar, and am quite concerned that readers will be swayed by the few positive reviews from the lucky ones who didn’t encounter the «dark side» of this woman. First of all, let me say that I’m extremely experienced with fillers. I’ve been receiving them for over thirty years, every kind of filler on the market, from doctors east coast and west. Always, the results were from okay-​to-​excellent, the doctors proficient and compassionate, and in fact I became friends with some of them. Ellie, in contrast, was a nightmare — her combination of a lack of skill and childish, unprofessional behavior was astounding to me. In my last of three meetings with her she threw a tantrum, yelled insults, and stormed out of the room. Never in my 66 years have a ever seen a doctor of any kind (and not many human beings in general) demonstrate such a total lack of maturity and professionalism. Here is the full story. I bought a Groupon for one syringe of Juvaderm and made the mistake, never to be repeated, of not researching the doctor. Had I done that, and seen the negative reviews, I would surely have found someone else. I asked Ellie to fill one «dimple» over my right upper lip and to use the remaining product for a line on the left side of my lip. She insisted she needed the entire syringe for the dimple — this made me wary. I’ve had this dimple filled three times over the years and never did a doctor require a full syringe. I was disappointed because it was clear my hard-​earned $ 600 wasn’t going to go as far as I’d hoped, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. That was my second mistake. She injected not just in the divot but around it – more product than needed and in the wrong areas, thus leaving me with a sizable protrusion that looks like I’m holding a walnut in my cheek. I went back a week later and she insisted this protrusion was justswelling, and would disappear — I knew otherwise. Then she used what I call the «denial strategy» — she massaged the lump, then pronounced triumphantly, «There! Look at it now!» Do I have to tell you that it looked exactly the same? Or that I felt rather offended that she thought her clients are so stupid and malleable that they will simply believe her when she says a lump is gone, even though the mirror belies that? When I said it looked the same, she tried the «delay» strategy instead and told me to return in two more weeks. She also called me «fixated,» a slur I didn’t appreciate as I am not «fixated» and that is not my nature; I simply expect quality service and I expect honesty. Furthermore, she tried to convince me to get fillers in my cheeks, as she also had done in the first meeting, insisting that my sunken cheeks are my «real problem.» My cheeks do need filler, but I can’t afford this and the only relevant issue here was the divot, not the cheeks that would earn her $ 2000. Although I knew from experience the «walnut» wasn’t swelling, I again decided to give her a chance and return in two weeks. Two weeks later, not only was the «walnut» still there as large as ever but the divot was back! She had not only failed to fill the divot properly, the point of my entire visit and my $ 600, but she had created this very noticeable and unattractive walnut bulge that in fact, two friends commented on. What was her honorable response to this? She did not admit or apologize for mislabeling it as swelling. She pulled out her camera and with much hostility showed photos of my first visit which, ironically and not surprisingly, showed there was no bulge when I came in, but which she pretended was evidence of something, don’t ask me what. Then she tried to push cheek fillers on me again — not the issue! Then she did offer to give me 3cc of product but refused to use it on the divot again and of course the divot was my only concern. When I said I only wanted the divot filled and the bulge treated, she yelled at me that I was «unreasonable.» Then came the memorable moment when she stormed out of the room, yelling insults the entire time and thus conveniently avoiding giving me the 3cc, although I’m sure I would have declined that anyway. I don’t want this «doctor» anywhere near my face again. Let me add that throughout, I was very calm and evenly spoken, and said nothing insulting nor did I become emotional. So as for Ellie: behind the «honey» «sweetheart» superficially warm and friendly exterior that many female cosmetic doctors seem to adopt these days, and that some reviewers seem impressed by, there is, in my belief, a less-​than-​competent doctor, one who feels threatened when her results are questioned, who dishonestly tries to deny those results and deflect the issue, and who has an unstable temperament and self-​interest that really should disqualify her form any work in the medical field. You could be lucky with her as some people are but my advice is: don’t take the chance.

I simply HAVE to share how amazing my lips look now after Ellies artful use of fillers… I could not be happier! I love Ellie!

Well I went in for Botox on my 53 birthday in January. I was so excited to get it on my birthday! The Medical Director Abishai Tichaona Rumano was so horrendously RUDE to me. She asked me what I came in for and I told her Botox but wanted to know what she would suggest. I told her I had a groupon and that when I had Botox in the past, that my for head tends to drop and look like a lion so I can’t have Botox in the center part of my forehead. Well she said that she has 30 years experience and knows what she’s doing and said that I should go back to my old provider. She told me to get a refund from Groupon. She was insulted that I asked a question and provided medical history concerning MY FACE. What a weird experience. She was like the soup Nazi on Sienfield.” No Botox For You”. I have gone to Parsons in Lafayette and Dr Marriotti in Concord and LOVE THEM. She’s right. I will never go back to her what a waste of 2 hrs travel on my birthday!!! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Excellent Botox, Dysport, fillers and hair removal! My results have been fantastic! I highly recommend the services performed here!

This place is bottom of the barrel. Clearly not somewhere you would want to have your face worked on. Don’t let the prices fool you. I asked for before and after pictures of treatments done at this location and they had none. A huge red flag. They said they would send some pictures to my email and never did. They only offered the option to buy a large package not one individual session to try the treatment out. Cold and demanding, I also watched someone else walk out during my time there. There is no doctor on staff, I was told I needed 6 treatments for non-​ablative when she hadn’t even looked at my face, I had my hair down and tons of makeup and she was across the room. Extremely disappointed.

WOW– Where do I begin?
First of all I love the location, right of the 680 freeway. The actually clinic, is very clean, and i love that they have the air conditioning running so it keeps the place feeling fresh and not stuffy.
The staff–
Yeganeh,(Yegiee for short) wow what a bright smile every time I walk in, she is knowledgeable about all the products. Even if I’m asking questions about procedures I wouldn’t get, she goes into detail about the procedure, who would benefit from it, side effects (if there are any) and the pricing. Always very honest, always trys to give fair pricing. Also shes such a sweet girl, really goes out of her way to make me feel comfortable.
Ok so the queen ELLIE.
I am so, so lucky to have met this genius human being. Everything from health tips, to diets, to living a normal, healthy lifestyle this woman feeds me knowledge about cosmetic procedures and guideance. Never pressures me into anything I don’t feel comfortable with and always follows up. This woman, is so strong. She is literally empowering women left and right. Proving that woman can have great careers and look/​feel amazing. Yegiee and Ellie make a fantastic duo.
I don’t usually post reviews on businesses, but I had to share my excitemenet somewhere and they really deserve it. In October, I came in and I was talking to Ellie about how I gained so much weight being in my nasty relationship. Me– «Now that i’m single, Ellie — help me loose weight, I just can’t get motivated and I can’t stop eating»… So she reccomends a B12 shot and no joke that day I left feeling AMAZING. I felt like i was floating in thin air. It might have been my mind, but that afternoon I went to the gym and I haven’t stopped. So since October I have lost 30lbs… I mean I had to diet and workout regularly but those vitamins really hit that right spot. In January, I have another appt coming up to get my second dosage and I really cannot wait to see the women who change my life and I will forever be grateful.

Plan extra time to WAIT. They spend a lot of time upselling and leave you waiting for up to an hour in some cases. I need to find a new place.

DO NOT GO THERE. PERFECT CHEATS! I bought a packet of 6 — prior to paying I told them I I was out of town for a couple of moths — they told me no problem, come back for the rest od the treatments when I returned. Upon returning 4 months later, the «new office manager «said — management has changed we can not honor the agreement as we have not seen you for over 6 months .
She did not return any money and refused to provide treatments .
Perfect cheats ! Be careful and avoid this place !!! save your time and money and go somewhere else.

I have suffered most of my life with embarrassing facial hair. I have light-​brown skin and dark, think hair. Naturally, I am very self-​conscience about it. I have tried everything from creams, to shaving, to wax. However, it always came back darker and thicker. I finally made the decision to invest in professional care. I was nervous at first because I don’t have money to waste. But After just 3 treatments, I can barely see the hair! Though some hair came back, it always came back thinner and lighter which means it should be completely gone soon. Overall, I believe I made the right choice by coming here. From the time I walk in I’m greeted with smiles until the time I leave. I would recommend Essential Aesthetics to anyone who is ready to remove their hair.

I cam here on a recommendation from a friend (Shareen) for Latisse. I called as they were closing and was about ten minutes away in traffic– the receptionist stayed open for me without question and was more than welcoming when I ran in.
She explained every single question I had about Latisse and gave me a great price. She taught me so much I barely had to consult the instructions or online for more guidance. I also looked into other treatments there and she was very honest that I would be best to speak with the doctor but she shared her own experiences and preferences. I felt so comfortable there which is not always the case at a medical spa.
I will definitely be back!

They actually had the audacity to request for my negative review to be removed by Unilocal and only keep the positive ones. Beware of all the positive reviews you see here, this business is offering a $ 50 cash discount for all the customers to write them 5 star reviews. I was offered the same but instead want others to be AWARE of their shady practice.

Terrible service through the main aesthetician, the front desk girls they hired are relatively «normal» in attitude, but the owner/​aesthetician is RUDE and does not even bother to hide her greed of just wanting you to sign up for more expensive packages through their Groupon/​LivingSocial promo.

This is the absolute worst place i have ever experienced. The PA was very rude and left me sitting in the treatment room for 20 minutes after my appointment time. The PA was aggressive and did not know what she was doing. She basically stabbed the filler into my face repeatedly until she drew blood. I’ve never ever experienced such pain while getting injections. When she did check in with me she was extremely condescending calling me «honey» several times.
I could only gather that she was angry with me because I wouldn’t buy more filler that she was trying to sell to me after she told me that I had a lot of wrinkles.
I did buy Botox though at $ 5 more per unit than other med spas and wish that I hadn’t. I regret giving this business any of my money.
The only positive thing about this place was the front desk staff. The ladies were helpful and engaging but sadly not enough to make up for the overall lack of customer service of this business.
Please read all of the previous ratings, I wish I had. By far the worst experience and the worst quack of a so called Physicians Assistant I’ve ever come in contact with.

Do not go here for any kind of treatment. I bought a 6 treatment package for laser hair removal for my face. They wanted me to start so quickly in order to get my money they didn’t even care to ask if I had been in the sun recently and when I had informed Elham Zarnegar that I had been, she told me it was ok. Clearly anyone who knows laser hair removal knows it’s not ok to do laser after being in the sun. I went ahead and made an appointment for a month out since I couldn’t do it at time of consultation due to sun exposure. When I had left my first appointment I had noticed two spots on my face that had been burned. I informed Elham of my burns the next time I came in for my 2^nd treatment and she told me would bring down the level on the laser machine. Little did I know I would be walking out of there with THREE more burns the second time around. Before walking into a patients room you should check their chart to see exactly where the patient wants laser and not assume. Elham was in such a hurry to get me out of there that she not only burned me in 3 more places on my face she almost did laser where I did not ask her to and I had to stop her. Come to find out when I was done with my session I overheard her talking about how she was in a hurry to leave because she was going to Vegas that day.
I came back 3 days after my 2^nd appointment to show Elham my burns that she had caused again and instead of an apology she accused me of faking my zits for burns. She quickly grabbed her camera to take pictures and not even let me know what she is doing. Than proceeds to talk about my ethnicity and makes racist remarks. Her front desk clerk also proceeds to walk into my exam room and touch my face with no gloves on. As a medical professional you don’t just go touching people with bare hands!
Long story short if you want these type of services go elsewhere they are not looking to please their customers with satisfactory results they are looking to take your money at any cost even if that means burning you!
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere! I wouldn’t even give one star but you can’t do that on Unilocal

Horrible place, I got a horrible experience here, I bought a groupon 1 cc of Restylane, but the P.A. was telling me that I need to pay more money if I want it under eye for the same product, since it’s not FDA approved.
The P. A was unprofessional, ad racist, starting her sentences with «where were you born…» «in this country…».
The front desk (also the financial assistant) is very rude, mean, even saying «you will be ugly forever» after I told her I don’t want to do it here.
She was like, «you either pay more or get your ass out of here.»
This place should be shut down for real.

I had 40 unit Dysport for forehead and crow feet at elite Md before. So I thought my 60 unit from groupon was good enough for my treatment .
That Elle lady Is so rude and told me that 60 unit is only good for one area. What a joke ! I left the office without any treatment. She told me I can get refund by calling groupon. It turned out a big hassle ! The place redeemed my groupon! I had to deal with groupon for almost one week and finally got groupon bucks back!
That Elle lady is the rudest person I have ever met !

I would be very cautious. My impression was that Elham Zarnegar was hurried–
She tried to talk me into more than I wanted, which seemed normal, but then was very aggressive and careless with the injection process. I am very black and blue, more than was necessary. The front staff were very nice, but I would never go back.

I love this place. My first visit was almost 2 weeks ago. The place is so clean the staff was very nice and the Dr was wonderful. She explained what I need and how much I needed for the results I wanted.
I love my new look. Very happy. They now have a client for life!
