Brett Stompro, MD & Chester Cheng, MD

I obtained 4 quotes for the work I wanted done and Dr. Stompro was the highest, but I did not want to «cut corners» with a surgery. His staff is very pleasant and his demeanor is «honey sweet». My quotes ran from $ 18,000.00 to 28,000.00 and the later is what Dr. Stompro charged me. When I said I was not happy with my results, I was told, «Well you are a rather large lady and you aren’t a suuuuper model.» Exact words! I know that I am not a perfect model and over 40, but I do not need reminding of it and for what I paid, I still deserve a better result! So if you are a perfect 10 and only need a «nip or small tuck» this guy is good, but if not I would avoid him. I was told I healed wrong instead of accepting responsibility for doing a poor job.
Every appointment I went to I waited anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour before I was seen.
When I had my pre-​surgery appointments I was told, «If it does not come out as it should, we will fix it. Don’t worry about it, we will make sure you are happy, etc.» He touched parts of me and said, «This will be completely gone. You will be so happy with your results.» It’s not gone and I am not happy with the results.
The morning of my surgery, Dr. Stompro was very careful with some markings for surgery, but the last one he flicked the pen on my right side upwards rather cavalierly and I could feel it was uneven. He said the lines were just «guide lines» and not to worry about it. I was told my whole midsection would be sculpted and it was not. I was scheduled for 5 – 6 hours of surgery and it was only 4! No wonder all my work was not done!
I healed well, had no incisions open or get infected. After my three month check up I had concerned about how I was looking and I was told, «Give it time to heal.» This went on for 1.5 years. I am a large person and I had realistic expectations for my results, but to have one side looks as I expected (good to me so it my expectations were real) and the other side looks like «The Michelin Man» with huge bulges on the other is not acceptable! I was told I was uneven to begin with, but he said before surgery he was a sculpture and only wanted good smooth results. The whole idea of plastic surgery is to have the near perfect look you were not born with and the uneven should have been accounted for before the surgery! Dr. Cheng had told me that the incision should have been made lower on my right side and more skin removed, I agreed, but it was too late now to properly fix it without leaving «puckers» because the whole tummy wasn’t been done.
I paid for a Brazilian butt lift to add some fat back into my flat butt. The fat was added, but not in the right place. When I asked about this, I was told it is hard to stretch out the flat skin in that area but he did not say that before the surgery! I had some fat removed from under my chin and I asked that they make sure they go up far enough on both sides to make it look even. They did not do that and left an oval indentation under my chin. When I asked about it, they said they could not see it. It left me with a double turkey jowl instead of one large one!
My last appointment with Dr. Stompro I was offered to have some laser style fat removal done to TRY and even it out my midsection but they expected me to pay another $ 1,000.00 on top of the $ 28,000.00 I had already paid. I have looked into the laser style fat removal and it would cost me about the same price to have it done elsewhere, yet they feel they are giving me a great deal to fix what should have been fixed right the first time!
Empty promises, sweet talk but light on the results, over charged and not happy.

What a fantastic experience with Dr. Cheng! The nicest man ever! He spent so much time with me and went over every possible detail. You would have thought it was his first time running through everything, not his 5 millionth. I was blown away! After having a few consultations with other doctors I was starting to loose hope but this place finally made me feel at ease! The feel of the office was warm and comfortable. The phone staff up until I got there was beyond upbeat, friendly, and positive to talk to, even if it was just verifying an appointment time. Jennifer who came in after, was just as wonderful! She took her time with me, gave me very helpful pointers, and was so sweet and delightful to talk to, perfect way to end my appointment. Very excited to start working further with them and I will ONLY be giving my business to Dr. Cheng’s office.

Words cannot possibly express how wonderful my experience with Dr. Stompro, Morgan, Lourdes and the entire staff has been! My results were beyond my expectations and I have never trusted any physician and staff more. I not only regained my youthful beauty but gained a family I look forward to seeing with every visit. The support I receive on all levels is so above and beyond and the caring for their patients is so genuine. I had multiple procedures and every one turned out amazing. I love hearing from everyone how amazing I look yet natural. Dr. Stompro has a magic eraser that took ten years of stress and age and made it disappear! I feel like a brand new woman, my recovery was a breeze and each visit a pleasure. They truly listen to your desires and care about each of their patients. I got exactly what I asked for and more!
I never imagined it could have turned out and been this incredible. My gratitude to Dr. Stompro and his entire team is straight from the heart and I recommend his team to everyone. It’s a life changing experience to have Dr Stompro perform his magic and go from ma’am to Glam! Dr Stompro is an all star professional and hit a glam slam for me. I am so blessed to have a dear friend bring me to his practice for the best care and results of my life. I love them all dearly and will be a patient for life. I have seen two other surgeons in my 48 years who pale in comparison. Dr. Stompro has the best bedside manner ever and is a true artist at his craft.

Dr. Chester Cheng is amazing, an angel sent on earth. He is a true artist, takes his time in surgery and handles you gently. There are a few reasons I wanted to join Unilocal and the MediSpa at Dr. Stompro and Dr. Cheng’s office is one of them. I am beyond thrilled to be able to share my experience with everyone.
I was introduced to the MediSpa at Dr. Stompro and Dr. Cheng’s office by a family friend who is a long time patient, both with surgery and injections. I wanted to try botox for the first time and had no clue where to start. I asked a few close friends, who I knew had long histories of injections and all three of them recommended the MediSpa.
When I called to book my first appointment, I was amazed with how pleasant and helpful the staff was. They were able to accommodate my very busy schedule and answered all the questions I had. I was also pleasantly surprised at how calm, serene and beautiful the office is.
I was incredibly nervous about getting injected for the first time! I could not believe how instantly soothed and comforted I felt after talking to Noemi. I never felt rushed and at the end of the conversation all of my questions and concerns were answered. It was also very important to that Noemi is a Registered Nurse. I felt 100% ready. I have to admit, I am a very (VERY) particular person. I notice things about my body and face that others say they don’t, like one side of my lips was slightly uneven from a previous doctor who injected them. I was convinced it was, even though everyone said they didn’t notice. I say this because when I saw Noemi, she was able to see exactly what I was concerned about and TOTALLY fixed it! I was so so happy! Noemi has continued to do my Botox and other Juvederm areas perfectly! And again, I am a tough patient because I am so particular. I notice every little thing whether realistic or not and she won me over with her amazing ability to assess what would be best for me and why. I am told on a daily basis that I look 10 years younger than I am! How awesome is that!
Since then I have been lucky enough to have both her and their other injection specialist, Nurse Practitioner Analyn, provide my injections and am constantly thrilled with my results. Analyn is as wonderful as Noemi. She has an amazing ability to see what’s best for each face, since we are all very unique. All of My friends are now patients of theirs because they love my results too. I cannot say enough wonderful things about each one of them and am looking forward to being a patient of theirs for a very, very long time.

Dr. Stompro and most of the staff are warm and polite. I went in for a for a consultation on Wednesday. I called back on Thursday to schedule an appointment to have the procedure done. And could not get Janelle on the line. I called 4 times in one day in order to speak with her because I have a question and she said that she was my point of contact. Every time I called I was told that she got my message and that she will return my call later. This is very uncomfortable for someone who is extremely nervous about having a procedure done all while spending over $ 20,000 for this surgery. The last time I called and the receptionist told me she would call me the following day, I knew that they didn’t need my money and i wasn’t important to her.

I started a Unilocal account just to write this review. Six months ago, I had an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) surgery, along with a fat transfer to the buttocks. The staff service was exemplary, responsive, caring and helpful. My doctor was Brett Stompro. He was extremely helpful and knowledgable with my decision. The results are extraordinary! My stomach looks like a 25 year old with a six-​pack; my daughter is 25 and she is envious. I am half Asian and as such my butt was flattening with age. Now, I have a nice sexy butt! Furthermore, since the surgery, my stomach muscles are strong and I have never had a back ache again; this is huge as I used to have chronic pain from a prior surgery in the lumbar spine. :)

Hi there I would love to write a review for Dr. Chester Cheng and the whole staff!
I came here from a reference from my friends and family who had some work done at this location and right when I entered I felt very at ease and excited. The waiting room was gorgeous with European inspired couches and designs. I loved how they had large books containing images of before and after surgeries which really truly showed the science and pure genius of their art work. Their results for all their procedures looked just incredible. I met with Dr. Chester Cheng and he was so patient and gentle. I appreciated his advice on what size and what location I should get my breast implants located. I ended up being eligible for the incision through the arm pit. We picked a very natural but full size and on the day of surgery everyone was superb. The IV barely hurt, the experience was thrilling not nerve-​wracking at all and I woke up with barely any pain and it is day 2 and I am doing well. The medicines that they prescribe are perfect as well and they really listened when I told them I was allergic to certain antibiotics. You can tell his craft is perfected because I barely have any swelling or bruising. His work looks natural and the whole procedure was just wonderful. Thanks also to Nurse Lourdes. She was wonderful as well and the rest of the staff were absolutely incredible. This place is clean and gorgeous and the hearts of the staff and doctors are even more beautiful.

Went in to buy my Latisse (medication with lash growth).
I hardly ever come to danville, especially to blackhawk. The city is just absolutely beautiful and also it’s pretty busy too.
When I walked into the blackhawk medical center, it felt so fancy like. The doors to this office is straight ahead once you enter the building. And the doors were so big and heavy. It just felt like a palace when I walked in. The couches they have in waiting area were so comfy. I almost felt like I was going to fall asleep as I was waiting.
The front desk receptionists were really kind. And the doctor that helped me seemed really nice too. It was a quick visit just to buy and go.

After rescheulding my appointment two times, then calling me the day of, to reschedule for a third time, then tell me to come an hour earlier… I had just about canned the idea of meeting with this office to inquire about a hernia repair & tummy tuck after having 2 big babies.
I waited in a medical exam room for 45 minutes (with my two small children) before Dr Stompro finally arrived. He spent 15 minutes of his time answering my questions, giving me coupons for other services (which I didn’t ask for) and then outlining areas on my body that could benefit from Lypo. Or as he calls it, «body sculpting».
That really pissed me off. I weigh 130 pounds and am 5’8. I’m pretty lean! I’m a size 4!
Then I wait another 20 minutes to speak with another staff member regarding pricing. Heres the kicker. (Keep in mind, he was Doctor #4 that I have consulted with…) he quoted me a grand total of $ 21,000 for Lypo. oh ehhm «Body Sculpting», tummy tuck and mesh for the hernia repair. Annnnd some coupons for any other services I may want. Like if I booked a «liquid facelift» I’d get an additional 20% off.
Did I mention I’m only 30?!
So according to Dr. Stompro, I’m fat, look very old and in need of $ 21,000 of work. At least. Maybe more.
Wow. Thats a dagger to the ego! Here I was thinking I was doing good for losing 80+ pounds of baby weight and I still get carded at the grocery store.
Like I mentioned, He was the fourth consult I have been to, to ensure I was working with the best doctor to get the best results. I was shopping around. Not only was Dr. Stompro the most expensive doctor (Others quoted me $ 9,000 and were equally as qualified, board certified etc) but he refused to even inquire with my insurance carrier on getting my hernia repair and hospital stay covered (which it is) He was only interested in straight up cash.
My over all experience with him and his staff had me appalled. If I didn’t ask for additional services, don’t offer. And furthermore, don’t hand out «coupons» for plastic surgery. That speaks volume.
All in all, he was a big NO. I have moved on and found another doctor. I suggest others to do the same.

Dr. Stompro and his staff are awesome! The BEST! From my first appointment to my series of visits thereafter, everyone is friendly, kind, caring while also being the utmost professionals. At first, during the recovery process, I was a bit apprehensive and asked myself at times, what did I do? But Dr. Stompro was right — when we first met, he told me that I would be very happy with my results — and I am! Becoming a mother is tough both physically and mentally. I used to say I would never get work done but now, I’m all for do whatever helps you live a happier life. My husband and kids were very supportive and they are happy that I am now more content with myself.
I want to give a shoutout to some of the staff — Thank you as well to Stacy, Morgan, Lourdes, Jillian, and Chavon (and all the others I didn’t name directly)! Your outstanding client service is one in a million!

Dr. Stompro is a talented, superior surgeon. I highly recommend him for any plastic surgery needs. As a registered nurse, I recognize high quality, superior outcomes — he is fantastic!

Dr. Cheng is amazing! And a real artist! Had breast augmentation performed by him and it’s been everything I always wanted. He is attentive and his staff in the office is super as well. The one thing I will say is to be patient with this surgery. The results may take a bit to settle and the healing process was intense for me. Listen to the doctor and all will be well! I’m so happy!

Dr Stompro is fab! I had a nose job and several friends had facelifts including my mother and all were very pleased with their results. He doesn’t over-​stretch you and he’s got a really nice staff. What good is it going to agree doctor if the staff irritates you!

The doctor is great! I had some major work done. Dr. Stompro is the best but I wouldn’t go back to them for future work. Once had my surgery, the my follow up appointments are always changing.
They are constantly pushing my appointments out. It’s almost a yr since I had my surgery and I haven’t had my 6 month checkup. That is the only reason I’m giving them 3 stars.
It really seems like they don’t take as good of care of you after they have your money. I bet Dr. Stompo doesn’t know how many times they have rescheduled my appointments. If he does, he should do something about his staff doing this to customers.

I highly recommend Pam and Chavon. Pam has been taking care of my needs for several years. I just met Chavon today for a hydro facial. It was wonderful. She was very knowledgable and gentle. Thank you.

Years later I want to continue to share how much I appreciate all of their kind staff, Dr. Stompro and his wife Janice, Dr. Cheng, Nicole, Stacey, Risa, Kristy, Kristen, Chavon, Pamela and Annalynn! All due to my beautiful girlfriend Lisa for introducing me to their practice! I hope whoever reads this and is looking for the best of the best in their field, chooses to have a complimentary consultation!

Dr. Cheng and his staff is amazing. I can say I have checked out a bunch of Doctors before deciding to have work done by Dr. Cheng. I have friends who have had other doctors do their work, which they happily shared their results with me. Don’t misunderstand me here, my friends had great work done, however in asking questions I can’t have someone be uncomfortable in telling me what they do.
Dr Cheng’s staff was nice, caring, remember your name when they see your face. Dr. Cheng explained everything he was going to do and how it was going to be done. I actually wanted details not because I didn’t trust him but because I am the type if I could have put up my own video camera to watch I would have. I want to look inside and see. He was great with explaining in detail what was going on. I have had him work on me from stem to stern and not once have I not liked the outcome of a procedure I had him do.
I wish I could give Dr. Cheng and his staff more than 5 stars because I would sure do so. Thank you for the amazing work you do and for making me feel young again.

I had a birthmark on my left cheek on my face removed by Dr. Chang. He was both easy to talk to and assuring yet realistic. I don’t think you can ask for anything greater in a surgeon.
The operation was easy and he did an amazing job helping me to have a very minimal scar as he had explained up front. Great work Dr, thank you and I encourage anyone that wants a change to discuss it with him and get a clear picture before moving forward with Dr Chang and his top shelf staff.

Dr. Stompro is an amazing doctor and artist! I had a Mastopexy (Breast Lift) with Breast Augmentation (Enlargement) in December 2013. It has been 5 months and I am so pleased with results! When I first met Dr. Stompro, I liked him immediately, he is warm, friendly and easy to talk to. He answered all of my questions, thoroughly and explained the entire procedure. His staff is wonderful, too. The ladies who work the front desk are always happy and friendly. Ashley went out of her way to get me in on the exact day I wanted, I was really impressed with her and her professionalism. They make me feel like a princess, I love going there! His nurses, Lourdes and Morgan are extremely professional and knowledgable. The staff is always available if you have questions and they are happy to answer them!
Like I said, Dr. Stompro is a true artist. When Dr. Stompro asked me what size I wanted, I wasn’t sure what size to pick because I didn’t want to go too big and l was afraid of going too small. He chose the perfect size for me! My clothes fit the way the are supposed to and I love shopping for clothes now! I chose Allergen Natrelle Silicone implants because I believe they look and feel more natural than saline implants. They also do not «ripple» on the sides. For my petite frame, these were the best. They are not heavy or uncomfortable. I can run, jump and chase my toddler around with no problem.
If you have had children and nursed, I recommend going with breast lift, it doesn’t cost too much more and you’ll be happier with the results. The scars are not bad and Dr. Stompro will give you «Scarfade» cream to fade them. He has done tons and tons of these procedures, so his incisions are perfectly straight and heal very well.
The surgery was as easy as it gets. The procedure was done at Valley Care Surgery Center in Livermore. I intend to write a review for them too because they treated me like gold! I was very nervous when I went in but Dr. Stompro and the staff at Valley Care calmed my nerves and made me feel comfortable. Everything went perfectly smooth and the recovery wasn’t bad at all.
I have also had facials and Botox treatments at this office and both are extremely good.
Dr. Stompro’s prices are very reasonable. I was afraid they would be sky high considering the location and the beautiful office, but they weren’t. For someone with his talent and experience, he is fair with his prices.
If you are someone who wants THE BEST, look no further! You’ve found it!
