Shawmut’s rich history began with one vision: to create better marketing and communications solutions for every client served. Founded by Ted Peluso Sr., and his business partner Larry DiVentui in 1951, Shawmut began as an advertising specialty company. Three generations of family ownership later Shawmut Communications Group continues to thrive. Today, Shawmut provides an array of marketing, print, mail, fulfillment and technology services to meet the needs of clients across diverse industries. With decades of experience, the Shawmut team works in partnership with each client to develop custom solutions that achieve results.

Business Owner

Michael is proud to serve as Shawmut’s president and continue the organization’s long standing traditions of providing innovative solutions and unparalleled support. A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Print Management, Michael has more than 20 years of experience and has led Shawmut in various capacities. With a continued focus on new service development and value-​added partnerships, Michael has been instrumental in transforming the organization from a print vendor to a full service marketing and communications agency. Michael is also an active member of a peer group of similar organizations and serves on the Board of Directors for PINE (Printing Industries of New England) in a senior advisory role.
