I can’t disagree with the previous review enough. I have taken all of my family cars to Jimmy for years. Have also referred several friends who continue to go back. Jimmy is the most honest mechanic i have found in the area. He is constantly busy but always makes time for emergencies. He is also very reasonably priced. If you are from the area and need a good mechanic he’s the guy!!!

Stay as far away from this place as you possibly can. I took my car in on Sat ⁸⁄₁₃ to get an estimate for a new catalyic converter. The owner (Jimmy) opened my hood and then told me it would be $ 2 – 300. Since I was referred by a friend who has used him in the past, I didn’t question much — (like why are you opening the hood when the cat is under the car) but since I knew it was the cat that was bad and told him so, he didn’t check further. It was a very good price so I said I’d call to make an appointment. Driving home on the highway, the hood flew up and smashed my winshield — he had neglected to secure it. 55 miles per hour on a busy highway– I thank God I was able to get the car off the road without hitting anything. When I called him back to advise him of this — he asked me not to tell my insurance company it was him — that he would fix the car — I should bring it to him (how? — it’s not exactly drivable) When I asked where he would take it to have it fixed as he does not do body work — he told me not to worry, he’d «find someplace». hmmmm — not too reassuring. Called again after I’d filed the claim to let him know — he said he’d fix it and we’d split the insurance check. ok — so now I know for sure you’re not honest. Called again today ⁸⁄₁₇ to advise him that I would be having it fixed at a dealership and that I needed his insurance info, he became very irate and said he didn’t have insurance, never met me and never touched the car. then he hung up. Guess the lawyers will be getting this one now. Sad. my friend thought he was an honest guy. Not even close.
