Although my food was good the wait for the food was not what I expected I was thinking the service would be faster. for appetizers I had cauliflower it was not that good to wet it felt like I was eating milk with a spoon but I have to say the calamari really topped the appetizer part of the dinner now moving on to my entry I had the panala vodka pizza I loved it my only concern was the chicken on the pizza was a little chunky that is all

Fantastic Tappas! I tried the Filet Mignon Crustini and the Fig and Goat cheese Bruchetta, I don’t think you could go wrong with any menu choice! The wait staff is incredibly friendly, as well as efficient. I never give 5 stars. But this is truly worthy

Beware after eating here I ended up in the hospital for 4 days with noro virus, I was deathly ill with the worst pain in my life. Do yourself a favor if the food doesn’t taste right send it back and ask for a refund. Shame on the owners for hiring inexperienced staff and or a dirty kitchen.

Food was 4 star but they lost a star in not effectively managing a very loud party in the upstairs room. The bass pulsed throughout the restaurant and bar and was very distracting. I have been here many times enjoying the meal and ambiance but hope not to have this disappointing experience again.

The food in phenomenal. The staff could be a little bit more knowledgeable. But the amazing food makes up for there lake of knowledge on the wines. Our favorites were the beef carpaccio the muscles FraDiablo and the branzino. All tapas. I’ll be back and I’ll bring friends!

Wonderful food and beautiful atmosphere!!! Awesome for a date night! I had a fruit Di Mare in a red sauce and it was delicious! We also started with several Tapas including the butternut squash and cauliflower and they were amazing. I also had a arugula salad with a lemon dressing that was perfect as a starter. My husband had the penne Mazzo which was even better then my meal. They surprised us with a tiramisu for dessert to celebrate our anniversary, it tastes homemade! Highly recommended!

Really disappointed in this place. The small plates were great but the risotto dish didn’t taste right. When we told the waiter he didn’t even address it, nor did the manager. I won’t be returning to this establishment due to the lack of customer service. Such a shame.

I would like to preface this by saying this was the first time I had eaten here, went out for a family dinner. The small plates we ordered, particularly the Parmesan cauliflower was tasty. Our main dishes came, and two member of our party had the scampi risotto– the shrimp was cooked well it the actual risotto tasted of iodine. We reported it to the waiter, who apologized and said he’d tell the kitchen. Usually at this point a manager appears– but one did not– either the waiter never reported the bad dish or the manger could not be bothered. On our way out, my father addressed the manager, who basically waved away his concerns– beyond rude. The owner stepped in and went to find the waiter, which is the first appropriate reaction we had seen so far. Based on the lack of customer service alone, this place gets one star. I will not be back again.

Food is excellent and the experience was great. I also just want to say that Kim was absolutely exceptional during my dads 60th birthday party! I highly recommend this great restaurant!

To make it short and sweet it wasn’t bad but not impressed. The décor is beautiful, clean restaurant and staff is friendly which I think pushed this rating into the third star spot but found dinner pricing to be expensive. Would recommend happy hour or lunch. We had two apps, the crab cakes which tasted like they were just grabbed from the freezer and heated and we had a salami board(sweet Italian) which was over priced. The presentation looked good but the taste just wasn’t there. Food ended up being mediocre; we got a pizza to split but have had better. Recommend maybe trying the pasta but skip the pizza.

I can’t say enough good things about Mazzo. This review is long overdue. I’ve probably eaten there over 10 times and I’ve never had anything but a great experience. You can tell that everything they serve you is incredibly fresh. The vegetables that come with their meals were definitely just cut and were made specifically for your meal. That’s just the way everything is there. You can trust that if it’s on their menu, they do it well. I’ve never been able to say that about a restaurant before. It’s easily my favorite dinner spot in Danbury.

Very good American Italian food in a nice looking spot. I had the chicken Parmesan and my girlfriend the meatball pizza. Both were very good. The bread was delicious. Prices are very decent and the service was excellent. Definitely recommended.

Based on the good things I had heard and read about this restaurant, I decided to celebrate my wife’s milestone birthday here(party of 8). Orders ranged from tapas to entrees to pizza and all were excellent(pizza was somewhat«unique» to quote another reviewer, but still good). Butternut squash gnocchi, crab cakes, spicy calamari, lobster cav n’ cheese and fig bruschetta tapas won rave reviews. Our waiter, Roberto, was extremely competent, attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Our usual Pizzaria was closed, so we used Unilocal to investigate our options. We wanted take-out and this seemed the closest best alternative. I arrived early, was offered something to drink and chose water. The staff was a little busy to chat. I asked for a takeout menu and browsed while I waited. Got home with the pizzas, the wild boar & Bianca with an arugula salad. All delicious, but not as flavorful as our favorite go-to. Still, we look forward to exploring the rest of the menu!

UHM… Here goes; We were a party of four and wanted to try a new spot. All of us were really impressed by the décor, bar area and layout. The owner, whos known for high standards, has outdone himself with this establishment. Beautiful and tastefully done. The menus(laminate single) are a total miss and they belong at a breakfast location and do not seem to(the owner spared no expense and restaurant is simply gorgeous) be a fit for a fine establishment. We started off with a bottle of wine($ 40) and two apps(Calamari and Cheese mix. ish) and both were good but not great. It was then, that we started to realize that the wait staff seemed to be a bit understaffed and seemed rushed, even a bit disconnected for the task at hand. We(although requested) never got water and asking for bread made it seem as if we would be better off requesting a presendential pardon.(Obama…not a fan) We ordered 4 main plates and with the exception of one,(Garlic Shrimp) all were under or over cooked and seemed bland at best. The Fra-Diablo and the Pescatore were so bland and lacking in flavor, both went back with just a few bites and my filet-mignon was borderline sad… and was so beat-up, it looked like it need to be in court with a good lawyer and not on a dinner plate. It was overcooked and the cut was so thin, that the last time I saw meat this thin, I was at a French model therapy intervention. So…for great apps, drinks and atmosphere. this place gets two thumbs up. The bar area is fun, laidback and drinks and prices were good. As to a location for dinner… its a bit($ 80 was just in wine… sooo) overpriced($ 260 final bill) and the(main complex plates) food is «currently» not up to a standard of fine restaurant… but the owner is a class act and stickler for quality… so I’m sure, what we had experienced, may have simply been an off night. Cuervo.

Delicious, fairly priced, great attentive service, and plenty of room. I will be back. There are so many things on the menu that I want to try. I couldn’t get past the delicious Tapas.
