Description

History

Established in 2011.

With the idea to create something special and comfortable, Tony and Furtuna, owners of MAX 40, are the designers of this upscale, sophisticated place that yet has a very warm atmosphere. It is a very unique and trendy place for the Danbury area and the people seem to love it. MAX 40 has magnificent old wood ceilings and Murano chandeliers that indeed make MAX 40 a very unique place. The wood tables give you the feeling of comfort and with a service you cannot compare to any other place. MAX 40 has immediately become the restaurant of choice for all the Danbury area.

Business Owner

Tony and Furtuna also own Portofino in Wilton, founded in 1988. All the restaurants are decorated differently and have different layouts from one another, however the values and principles that guide them are all the same.

Behind all this success is the 30 years of experience that Tony brings with him. He has a great passion for the kitchen and the restaurant business. In addition to his experience he is very attentive to seminars and traveling throughout the world in his quest for always bringing more freshness and innovation to the kitchen and his restaurants.
