Making Faces

I’ve been growing my eyebrows out for about two months because someone messed them up very badly. Danny did the most amazing job making them look like nothing ever happened to them and some how he made them look longer. Best eyebrow experience ever!

I travel from NJ to CT to go see Danny for eyebrows and makeup … that says it all. He is most definitely the eyebrow and makeup guru. He does a phenomenal job!
I don’t have the most defined or even noticeable eyebrows so I never get eyebrow compliments. However, I got several after Danny shaped them. I absolutely loved what he did to my eyebrows & now I’m hooked.
As for my makeup: my appt. was at noon, I had an event at 10pm and my makeup lasted ALL day & ALL night. The private makeup studio is well-​lit and spacious. Danny explains what what he’s doing and what products he’s using as he goes (and uses products from his own line). He is very courteous and friendly and will make you feel comfortable, as if you’ve been his client forever. Plus, he plays great music. Can you ask for more?
The space is gorgeous; very clean, all white, great natural lighting … and oh, that beautiful chandelier.
Danny nailed the look that I was going for and gave my eyebrows the perfect shape. I can’t wait to be back! Needless to say, he is definitely worth the drive.

My eyebrows look totally amazing after spending months growing them out. I will not go elsewhere from now on!

My mom and cousin told me to try him & as a NYS licensed esthetician I knew exactly what to expect. He too is licensed from the same school as me in NYC on 5^th Ave & it’s safe to say, He is the eyebrow guru! Not only did he do a great job on my brows but our conversation was so in depth & I left feeling like I could do anything! The appointment was only 7−10mins max!!! He is phenomenal. Great service. The atmosphere is so beautiful. (just have enough time to wait for him bc there are NO APPOINTMENTS-​walk in only for brows-​which is actually BRILLIANT)

I NEVER write reviews. However… I just had to on this. Danny is amazing. Eyebrows were a hot mess when I went in. Within minutes, he transformed them to glam!

As a New York State license aesthetician I have been waxing my own eyebrows. Waxing should not be done while standing up and it’s almost impossible to do them really well in that position. I’ve heard many great things about making faces so I decided to check it out. Highly recommend! Am beyond thrilled with the way my eyebrows look! He is highly skilled and highly trained!

I had my first experience at Making Faces today and let me say, I will NEVER allow anyone other than Danny to touch my eyebrows ever again. I have always wanted a professional consult for eyebrow shaping and I cannot believe that I did not know of this gem! Normally you would have to travel to NYC to achieve such great professionalism and knowledge but he has brought it to our little community in Danbury. But trust me when I say I would follow him to anyplace he chose to call home!

I neglected my eyebrows for weeks and they had run amok. Came here based on other Unilocal reviews. The wait was long, over an hour, but I did not leave disappointed. My eyebrows are now perfect. It’s worth it if you have the time and money.

I’ve gained serious trust issues with every salon, and I needed a new spot. After my last rendezvous with threading, I declared, «Screw it!» and grew my eyebrows out as much as I could handle seeing caterpillars on my face everyday. After hearing such great feedback, and constantly being referred, I set out to have my eyebrows whipped into shape. Upon arrival, I was greeted and immediately felt welcome. The wait was long, but bearable, thanks to a DVD of The Oprah Show’s highlights throughout the years.
To my surprise, the wax didn’t hurt as much as I remembered hot wax being ripped off my face felt like. And then, just like that, it was over. I was completely transformed! My caterpillars turned into beautiful butterflies, and I felt beautiful again. Honestly, I can’t stop staring at myself in the mirror, I’m a whole new woman. The wait, the $ 20 (which I thought was ridiculous and explains why it took me so long to visit) was so worth it. Stop reading these reviews, and just go.

I came in here yesterday with these terribly overgrown eyebrows. They were a complete mess. I left with the most gorgeous eyebrows. I was totally shocked that my eyebrows could actually look okay. I wish I took before and after pictures.
This place is totally worth the money. Please note, though, that there will likely be a bit of a wait and he doesn’t take appointments for eyebrows.

Unsanitary, he picks things off the floor. No hand washing at all, no protective paper on wax table … Never again !

Danny has been doing my brows for over 14 YEARS!!! And I do NOT trust anyone else to touch my brows except for him!
I’ve known Danny all my life and he is one of the most genuine people I know. His work ethic is beyond this world and he is just so humble and just a positive person to be around. Danny and his work weather it be makeup application or eye brow waxing he is just amazing. He makes you feel beautiful inside and out! Love him

Well worth it. As an eyebrow snob this place is a go to and the only place i trust when it comes to one of the most important aspects of the face! Well worth the price but be ready to wait if you come on a weekend. Its totally worth it Danny rocks it. Great makeup as well!

Danny is the most amazing, he hooks it up every single time and i will literally never trust anyone with my brows again. he makes me feel so good about myself everytime i leave. his prices are a little out of my budget but i am willing to make sacrifices because i have never been disapointed. hes the best around. he does makeup for people on E news and he is so sweet. He remembers who i am and where im from and is always so welcoming. I have waited a long time but again, its worth it. no one else does it like he does. the man is a pro.

Making Faces is a cute and welcoming salon. I get my eyebrows done every 2 weeks and a makeup application on special ocacions and have left beyond satisfied. The prices are very reasonable concidering the excelent service Daniel provides. I don’t get my eyebrows done from anyone else but here @ Making Faces. I recomend coming during the week when it is not that busy, weekends can be a little bit of a wait but it is well worth it. I always leave with a smile on my face and great eyebrows :)

Faces is just Fabulous! When I first went to Danny it was 8 years ago when he was the first to ever wax my eyebrows. Back then he was taking customers and making them beautiful in the basement of Salon. Fast forward to today and Danny is working out of his very own studio, which he perfectly named Faces.
The overall décor and atmosphere is very chic and clean. The all white (walls, floor, and furniture) and is topped off with a large chandelier. There are magazines and a TV to watch as one waits and overall gives a glamorous vibe that many of the other salons in Danbury do not have.
Although the décor is great the service that Danny gives is even better! Over than waxing Danny does make up for any occasion and he does a a phenomenal job! Danny has done both my eyebrows and make up in the past and he has never let me down! Plan to splurge a little bit on his brow waxes because they will cost you $ 20 but they are well worth it because he goes over them with some eyeshadow and takes the time out to make sure that they are beautiful before you go!
He does take appointments for make up applications but I am unsure about waxing appointments. The salon does get busy so plan your time accordingly and expect to have some type of wait.
