Carmine’s Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning LLC

Made an appointment for a leak in my ceiling. My appointment was between 1 and 3:30 p.m. the following day. He never showed up! At 4:30 p.m. I received a call stating the plumber was busy and couldn’t make it. Plus he was busy for the next few days. I when I explained that I took time off from work for the appointment, the receptionist said, «well, I didn’t tell you to take time off.» Sure things come up, but there was no attempt to make it right or even apologize. I would not recommend this company.

My central air heating unit stopped working on one of the coldest days this winter. Called Carmine’s and within an hour a technician was dispatched. Tech diagnosed the problem quickly and made the necessary repairs. Very pleased with the promptness of service and the work performed by the technician.

I had a somewhat mixed experience with Carmine’s.
Their «pre-​sales» engineer, a retired Air Force pilot, is an absolute joy to talk to. Tony listened to all our questions and concerns and had answers for all of them.
We ended up adding a 2^nd and 3^rd compressor to the house, about 20k worth of work, so not a small job.
The install team was also very courteous and did a great job on the system that Tony designed.
Where they failed is communication, from a general sense (returning phone calls, making appointments, etc), communication to other trades (electrical), and between myself and the owner, Carmine.
I had asked to speak to Carmine in person about some of the issues I had with his company and communicated this to both Tony the sales guy and to all of the leads on the install team.
You can imagine how upset I was when I heard that Carmine had visited the job site to see how it was going but somehow neglected to come upstairs to talk to the homeowner/​customer. By the way, I work from home so I am always there.
Would I do business with them again?
Maybe.
Again, Tony is great.
It seems that their office communication and their «leadership» could stand some improvement.

This company has gone completely downhill. The owners need to know that their amateur «techs» have no idea what they’re doing. I wouldn’t trust them to clean my air filter, Thats If you’re lucky enough to even get them to remember you’re appointments. Get ready to be stood up multiple times.
They do temporary fixes instead of solving the root of the problem. This keeps you calling back and their pockets filled.
Avoid if you don’t want to get ripped off.
