What is Pilates, you ask? It is the way to walk better, run better, surf better, climb better, play better. Pilates takes it’s name from Joseph Pilates, who was a man ahead of his time. Joe developed a brilliant system of exercise known as «contrology» in the 19th century. Today, we call this system «Pilates,» and there’s a reason this form of exercise is still around today. Pilates draws on practices like yoga and gymnastics, and works on the body in a comprehensive, holistic way. I believe that pilates can change the relationship that you have with your body. It will tone your muscles, correct your posture, improve your breathing, and increase your flexibility.
The Studio is a classical pilates boutique, where you can attain true health with mat, tower, and reformer work. I teach 55-minute private and semi-private sessions, by appointment only. Come see what it’s all about.
