We were so close to getting the home of our dreams. Hugh Kice, with Surterre Properties lost the home for us because he didn’t bother to get our counter in by the deadline. He told us that he gave the sellers agent a verbal counter and would get the written counter in the next morning. I was astounded! I told him that a verbal was not good enough and to please get our counter in by the deadline. As he spoke to me, he slurred his words and was barely coherent. Apparently it was more important for him to be having coctails at 2:30pm than working for his clients! Needless to say, I got home from work at 5:30pm and called him to make sure everything got done, of course it did not. At this point, my husband and I got a form offline and wrote up our own counter and emailed it directly to the sellers agent. She emailed back and told us that they had already accepted an offer and a backup offer at 4pm. I wish I could give Hugh Kice no stars at all. If you are using him or thinking about using him, save yourself the headache and move on!
