It’s always nice to try a support a local business from time to time but do youself a favor and shop here as often as you can. I would hate to lose this little treasure.
I was 90% finished instaling a new faucet on a Saturday afternoon and realized I did not have the correct fitting to finish the job. I didn’t feel like heading down to San Clemente and deal with the 5 freeway. I popped over to DP Hardware and was able to complete the job. The staff there is amazing, helpful and friendly — very knowledgeable! My home was built in the early 80’s and often you cannot find off-​the-​shelf parts -. Not a problem, the gal helped me piece it all together. From now on I will make this place my first stop before heading to the big — box with midioce service!

This is a convenient, well supplied hardware store in Dana Point. They are a little hard to find. They are on the bottom floor of a two story building on Del Prado (That is the street heading south east). It has come in handy more than once for household items. They have a full array of every screw and washer you could use, including items you would never think you could find. They are also very knowledgeable and happy to give you tips on the proper way to fix something. The items are a little pricier than at Lowes or Home Depot but then I don’t have to travel 10 miles to the store either.

Excellent hardware store. They have most everything, and will tell you where to find things. I just bought two halogen light bulbs. They gave me a rubber glove. I asked, «what’s this for», and they said not to touch the bulbs when installing them. Is someone going to do that a one of the mega h/​w stores? I think not.

Great store to have right down the street. They have a great selection of tools and supplies for such a little store. It saves driving 25 minutes round trip to Home Depot. They cost a bit more but you make it back not having to pay the gas.

When everything is apart and you need a plan in a jamb: this family run store will help you with the pieces and advice you need to get down the road seven days a week! As an start-​up DIY property manager, the excellent advice of Sue and Billy has more than once saved my bacon. There’s no comparison to other hardware stores which come up short to the small town hospitality this Dana Point staple has exuded for as long as I can remember: Thank you!

I’ve been frequenting their store for the last few years. They are a convenient alternative to Home Depot and Lowes. They helped me buy the correct plumbing fittings when replacing the garbage disposal. Great customer service. If you are ever in need of advice on how to fix something or what is needed for a repair the advice here is worth the extra price on the items you will buy.

I just moved into the area and needed a specific water filter for my new fridge — yup, they had it. Not only did they have it in stock, but they put it aside for me (it was waiting at the register up front when I walked in the door) and their prices were comparable to pricing online at discount houses! Good selection of hardware, fasteners, home repair do-​dads, etc… I’ll be back.
