To insure your comfort during surgery, we offer local, light IV sedation, Nitrous Oxide Sedation and IV General Anesthesia for all procedures done in office and have hospital privileges at Seton Medical Center.

Our office is fully integrated with digital radiography and the latest in 3-​D CT cone beam cat scan technology. This gives us a virtual 3-​D image of our patients to aid us in giving the best of care.

We utilize the most advanced surgical procedures & employ the latest techniques in pain control and medication. To insure your comfort during surgery, we offer local anesthesia, nitrous oxide (laughing gas), I.V. sedation and general anesthesia. Our office is equipped with the latest in digital X-​ray radiology and is one of very few offices that utilizes an in-​office 3-​D cone beam CT scan that allows us to give the best care to our patients. Dr. Khoury has been a resident of the Bay Area for over 40 years. Since establishing his practice, he has been committed to providing the highest standards of quality and care to his patients. Dr. Khoury has placed over 4,000 dental implants and has been a leader in this area of expertise. He went to high school in San Francisco at Riordan, graduated from Santa Clara University in 1982, Washington University School of Dental Medicine in 1987 and Valley Medical Center/​UCLA for Oral Surgery in 1992.

As an oral surgeon, his practice includes a wide range of Oral Surgery including dental implants, wisdom tooth removal, IV sedation, general anesthesia, facial injuries, jaw surgery, and TMJ disorders.

I went to Dr. Khoury’s office because I was referred to him from my dentist to get several teeth extracted and believe me I was terrified!!! Dr. Khoury and his assistant Christine was very nice and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. It took him about 20 mins to pull my teeth and I didn’t feel a thing!!! I was impressed he was done so fast.
I recommended this place to all my family and friends because there services are top notch along with great customer service!!!

If you are looking for an honest Dr. For dental implants or wisdom teeth removal, Dr. Khoury is one of the best. He pulled all my kids wisdom teeth. He put in my implants from a new company (in pronto) with a titanium base because of strength. Every year I had a problem with the porcelain breaking. Three years after the implants, he removed them and made me a new one the traditional way, which I’m totally happy with at no extra cost. Sometimes custom made products don’t go well. Dr. Khoury will do everything in his power to make sure you are happy. He will stand behind his product unlike other doctors after three years. Do yourself a favor. Go see Dr. Khoury!

I went to Dr. Sam Khoury’s office in need of pulling my wisdom teeth. I though that It would take a long time and be very painful. Turns out that I was out of there in 40 minutes and with no pain at all. He gave me clear instructions for afterwards and I did not even need pain pills after the numbness went away. I’m very very satisfied!

I waited a week after my extraction to make this review. Just to make sure everything healed correctly. ;P
Last Friday I went into Dr. Khoury’s office in a great deal of pain. I made my appointment the day before and they were able to schedule me for the earliest time slot.
The ladies on staff are very friendly. Andrea was the one who assisted Dr. Khoury during my extraction. She was AWESOME. Made me feel very comfortable, answered any questions I had, chatted with with me about everything (from talking about my extraction, to living in the bay). Not gonna lie, I put off this extraction so long I was hella nervous, but I did feel more at ease with her helping.
Dr. Khoury was a bit less personable and all about business. Though, I can’t complain much. The procedure was super quick and I didnt feel a thing. I had one wisdom tooth out and one impacted tooth… both on the left side. I opted for just local anesthesia (since its cheaper) and honestly cant imagine why anyone would need to sleep during an extraction. After the anesthesia kicked in the two teeth were out and I was done in 17 minutes.
Recovery time for me was about a week. Was only in pain the first day after the numbness from the anesthesia faded. I was given a prescription for the pain, but it made me naseous. I used aspirin when it was really bothering me the day after. Thereafter it was tolerable.
I still have one more wisdom tooth to come out and I’ll probably be going back to Dr. Khoury’s office when its time.

I did get an implant from Dr. Khoury 2 years ago, it was easy peasy again, no issues at all. He said it won’t hurt, and it didn’t hurt a single bit. My dentist’s office (Dr.Henspetter) did a great job setting me up with the cap.

An all-​around great experience. I had 2 wisdom teeth extracted under light anesthesia. The time went by vitrually instantly and there was no pain. The office staff was great. I recommend them.

My son needed a wisdom tooth extracted and we were referred to this office by our regular dentist. The entire staff including Dr. Tsang were great. They were very friendly, informative, and efficient and they were not at all pushy. I highly recommend this office.

I pulled out my impacted wisdom teeth back in 2007, just came across his card now so I figure I’d review him!
The procedure went better than I anticipated; he even put my wisdom teeth in a little box for me to take home. Felt like a kid leaving the dentist, it was awesome.
My procedure was quite complicated. It was near a nerve that was relatively important. I’m fine now so he must have got those suckers out without hurting me– yay!
The cost for me was about $ 400/​tooth at the time. I went under for the pocedure because of the complications of it being impacted and near the nerve.
It was fun:
They had a hard time finding my veins. At the time, I was afraid of needles; my veins would hide from inspection, we spent a good few minutes slapping my inner elbow to find them. After they began injecting me with the goods, they requested that I count backwards from 10. Before I started counting, the assistant was already holding one of the daunting, metal tools. She likely detected my eyeballs out of their socket, and reassured me that she’ll wait until I knock out.
I made it to 0 and the three of us (Dr. Khoury, the assistant, and myself) sat there looking around at one another. Definitely a *crickets.crickets* moment. Finally, Dr. Khoury asks if I feel it. The last thing I remember is answering, «No.»
Woke up woozy with a crap load of cotton in my mouth. They sent me off with a prescription for vicodin.
I tried eating rice on Day 2, and tacos on Day 3. This is obviously not recommended. Food will get stuck in the holes where the wisdom teeth once occupied. Rinse your mouth with warm salt water to help with preventing infection.
It was quite a pleasant experience with my wisdom teeth removal, I almost wonder if it’d be fun to hypothetically do it again.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. David Tsang since the middle of last year, having to have an implant put in. This week was my last visit to his office as my procedures are now completed. He has been very informative, professional, and would always call to see how I was doing after any surgical procedure. He is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. The staff (I’m trying to remember all of their names, Jacqueline, Ashley, Andrea, Christine, Muritza…) have all been very professional, friendly and fun to talk to. My experience at this office was awesome! I highly recommend Dr Tsang and his office for anyone who needs any dental surgical procedures done.

I went to Dr. Tsang (who works in the same office as Dr. Khoury) to get my wisdom teeth pulled out. He was really fast (took only 30 – 45 minutes) and I didn’t have much swelling at all and was able to go out for New Year’s Eve (2 days later) without much pain. His assistants, Alicia and Kristine, were really nice (answered all my questions) and made me feel comfortable. Thank you for making my second experience in pulling out my wisdom teeth not as painful.

Recently I needed some teeth extracted. My uncle referred me to Dr. Khoury after having his dental implants done by him. I was very nervous but Dr. Khoury and his staff made me feel at ease and gave me a thorough explanation of the entire process. I opted for local anesthesia. Dr. Khoury was quick and gentle and I didn’t feel a thing. In fact I had no pain afterwards as well. I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Khoury almost 20 years ago. I had heard horror stories about the surgery, but I had a wonderful experience. No pain, very fast, very professional. My husband has had dental implants done recently and he was so pleased! Dr. Khoury made him feel so comfortable and his nurses were great too! My husband was not comfortable even at a dentist but feels he is good hands with Dr. Khoury and his staff.

WOOHOO! teeth are out and it went incredibly well. Dr. Koury was extremely quick and swift about it (according to my boyfriend who was waiting, took 30 minutes for total extraction). And… he was personable! I don’t know why people say he doesn’t try to make you feel comfy, he walked me thru going under for the first time and put me at ease. Surgical assistants were awesome too (sorry I can’t remember your names due to all the drugs).
I had all four wisdom teeth pulled: one major impacted tooth, a partial impaction and two regular extractions.
First 24 hours: groggy, on Percocet that I asked for, but was eating squishy foods and drinking easily. Bleeding stopped after 4th hour
Day 2: off Percocet, eating creamier foods just fine and talking like normal, very little swelling.
Day 3: eating whole foods, jaw and gums were sore and tender like I had a bruise, but no chipmunk affect at all. I went out with friends for dinner and a movie
It took a full week for stitches to dissolve, one that slightly stuck out and bothered me but I was able to trim back. No dry socket, I did however have some issues with opening my jaw wide and the muscles are still a bit strained even now. But I was eating real foods and crispy foods by day 5. Any pain or sensitivity was in the front teeth and molars, as all my teeth were shifting now that there is room to do so.
Looking forward to getting Invisaline next! But super happy with Dr. Khoury and team. Was worth the ZipCar rental fee and drives south from SF to work with them.

Wisdom teeth extraction. 30 minutes. Done.
I was in and out of Dr. Khoury’s office in 30 minutes. The best part is, I had no pain afterwards. After hearing a ton of horror stories about how painful surgery is, recovery, etc., I was nervous to get mine taken out. However; he assured me that everything would be fine… and everything was fine.
No pain? Can’t complain. Thanks Dr. Khoury!
