Baskin Robbins

I was so excited to come here since I love their jamoca ice cream. I ordered a banana split and I slowly told the lady what I wanted. And waited for her to finish one scoop and then told her what ice cream I wanted next. She still managed to fuck up and give me cookies and cream instead of chocolate chip. I HATE cookies and cream. Didnt notice until she gave it to me and didn’t want her to start a new banana split. They give you very little whipped cream and their cherries taste gross. Next time, I’ll just take a pint and go.

Ahhh Baskin Robbins… such a shame there’s not many of you left…
I grew up on Baskin Robbins and every time I come, all the memories come rushing back. It was like a tradition to get an ice cream cake here for my birthday every year! Unfortunately I outgrew the tradition and stopped coming…
What they offer is your classic flavors for ice cream as well as drinks, and of course the cakes! Nothing too special.
The last time I came here, I just wanted a simple cone with cookies n cream ice cream. The guy who rung me up was super nice and very detail oriented. He redid my cone after he noticed there was a crack in it and scooped a generous amount as well!
I mean I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but it’s a nice spot to go to if you want to satisfy your sweet tooth in the westlake area.

Baskin Robbins has some pretty crazy flavors! I usually stick with Oreo cookies and cream or strawberry. Their waffle cone holds a lot of ice cream for one scoop!!!
There’s not much seating here, and no restroom. But there’s always a lot of holiday décor! There were about 12 American flags in the store, which I thought was funny.
On Tuesdays they have $ 1 scoop; it gets pretty busy and packed! Service is usually better on quiet days. I went on Wednesday afternoon, and server was very nice, patient, and helpful. She offered samples for different flavors.
Overall, I enjoy coming to baskin robins to fill any icecream craving! But compared to other ice cream places, bi-​rite in sf for example, has more unique and homemade flavors.

I am a long time customer of this particular Baskin Robbins store. I’ve never felt compelled to write a review. Why not? It is just a Baskin Robbins — nothing special, but nothing bad either. The times we have been here have been average. Our kids order their ice cream cones, and off we go. Of course, we have ordered our share of ice cream birthday cakes here over the years as well. Baskin Robbins ice cream cakes are a rite of passage for little kids’ birthday parties.
In September 2015, I called in an order for a birthday cake. I specified the type of cake and ice cream I wanted, and also specified the color of the outside of the cake. Chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream, and WHITE outer cake with blue trim. The person who took my order insisted I give her my credit card number and pay for the cake during the phone order because they have had problems with some folks ordering cakes and not showing up to pick up cake. Okay, I gave her my credit card number and reconfirmed all the details of the cake and the date/​time for pickup.
When I arrived to pick up the cake, the cake was not what I ordered. The entire outside of the cake was BLUE with white trim. I took one look at the cake and told the girl that my order was wrong. She looked at the order form taped to the cake, stared at it for several seconds, then called over a co-​worker to whisper over the dilemma. She finally said, «Yeah, it looks like the cake isn’t exactly what you ordered.» Then she just stares at me. Okay, I was going to have to help her figure this out. So I said to her, «This is not right. I didn’t order a blue cake. It is my son’s birthday. The order is messed up. What are you going to do about it?» She then consulted with her coworker some more. She comes back and says, «Well, I didn’t take your order, the manager did. And I ain’t gonna fix her mistakes.» I then calmly told her, «The order was taken correctly. The person who made the cake didn’t make the cake per my specifications.» Her response: «I didn’t make the mistake.» Please note I was extremely patient during this exchange. Patient, but firm.
I needed the fricking cake. Finally got the pathetic gal to give me a 30% discount which she couldn’t calculate in her head. She pulled out a calculator to do the math and still couldn’t get it right. Duh! Garbage in; garbage out. The calculator was only going to help her if she knew what buttons to push. Does this give you an idea of her mental capacity? She works in a store with at least 31 flavors of ice cream. I doubt she could count that high.
I asked her if she was sure the cake was chocolate. She assured me it was. (How could she tell?) I figured it was a 50 – 50 chance it was chocolate… either chocolate or yellow cake, right?
When I got home, I took a closer look at the cake. Instead of «Happy 16^th Birthday» the inscription was «Happy 15^th Birthday.»
Sigh.

This used to be my go to Baskin Robbins but every time I go there the workers are always rude and talk to you like you’re stupid.
I got a cake and when I was asked the female worker to write on it she said yes in a polite way and when I told her how to spell the name she sarcastically responds saying as if she didn’t know that.
I don’t recommend this baskin Robbins at all. Oh yea there’s that male worker with the plugs who is rudest of them all! Don’t go here unless you like bad customer service!

Came in today 11:30am to order ice cream for my kids and mom and this young disrespectful worker (girl with rainbow hair) was so rude!!! She was trying to rush us with our order, rolling her eyes and giving attitude. Where’s the customer service here??? Lucky I didn’t slap that little girl across the counter. i guess that’s what happen when your parents didn’t show you to have manners to others. Never coming here again!!! RUDE Employees!!! You guy’s should not bring your family here.

This review is for Jason. We asked for a fresh pack of mint chocolate chip ice cream, which we always ask for when we go to Baskin-​Robbins because it’s creamier and fluffier than the prepacked. He looks at us like we’re crazy and tells us there’s prepacks ones in the fridge. We explained to him that we want it freshly scooped and he rolls his eyes. We felt like we had to apologize for asking for scooped ice cream. Guess what man, if you don’t want to scoop ice cream learn some skills and get a job elsewhere.

This place has been an icon in Daly City and one of the few that have never changed. I believe that is what keeps them going. Although they are small, they still have all the great different flavors and icream cakes. And people complain about bad customer service, but who wouldn’t be annoyed if you served Ice cream 8 hrs a day.

I’m a frequent visitor to this Baskin Robbins (about once a week) and this is the second time the same guy waited on me (Caucasian, dark hair, plugs in his ears) and gave me a cone that was about 20% smaller than what other people serve. It was noticeably lighter in weight. This time I said it seemed small, and he shrugged and said it was the right size. I left feeling ripped off.
Additioanlly, I was about the sixth person in a line of 10 people waiting to be served. There were two people working, the guy who waited on me, and another girl. The guy was taking orders and the girl was scrapping down the sides of the ice cream containers, none of which were empty. I asked her if she was taking orders and she replied that she was stocking product, would take orders when she was finished, they were short staffed and there was nothing she could do about it. Customer service and the concept of the customer coming first were non-​existent, but there was plenty of bitchy attitude. It was about 9:30pm and the store closed at 10pm. I suspect she wanted to get the cleaning and stocking done so she could leave when the store closed. Lousy service and poor value for money spent.

Customer service sucks. The girl with dark brown ish hair gave soooo much attitude to us. I just came back (tuesday night) and honestly, it was the worst customer service I’d ever receive.

I don’t visit BR often, but, when I do, I am reminded why I don’t visit the Westlake location. I waited in longer than 10 minutes for service and then this bi… decided to cut in line. I informed the rude ass cashier, but, she continued on with helping the other lady. Oh, I was told that «I don’t have time for this because I wive off in 5». What ever happened to customer service? Minimum wage =horrible service.

I love baskin Robbins — but my pregnant sister in law received so much attitude from this one Caucasian lady that was working today around 5:30pm she orders my mint shake and asked for it to be thick and just reminds her nicely and the worker said «I heard you «with so much attitude then asked if she needed any thing else rudely and rolled her eyes when my sister in law wanted to order more. If your not happy working there then go elsewhere

Two scoops with a side of attitude! It may have been busy but damn. Plus the place was dirty.

No frill place for ice cream, tons of flavors to choose from, my go to is the jamoca almond fudge. Located in the Westlake plaza, there is tons of parking. There are three tables to sit at to eat ice cream. Occasionally there are coupons floating around, and ice cream doesn’t get much better than BOGO.

Its definitely a great place to get some ice cream, once you can get one of the workers attention. Even with THREE employees working, none took an effort to acknowledge us. They spent most of their time texting and talking amoung themselves than acknowledging the customers. The only time they took a moment to speak to us was at the end when it came to paying. All while not even looking in our direction. Her attention focused on the story of her coworker. Clearly they do not care for their job. Who hired these people and how do they even have a job to begin with?

I’ve never been a huge fan of baskin Robbins and their ice cream. It’s nothing negative about them as a company, I just don’t believe in spending more money on a single scooped ice cream cone, then you would a gallon from you’re local target or Walmart.
So I decided to take my wife for some Ice cream to cheer her up from a long stressful day and baskin Robbins really hit the spot. The flavors they had were fun like: Spider-​Man sherbet and peanut-​butter & jelly flavored ice cream. As well as the classics like cookie dough and strawberry cheesecake. The customer service was decent. We were greeted at the door with a hello and offered free samples of any flavors we wanted.
The location was nice and clean but it was small. With only three tables to choose from we had to sit outside because all the seats were taken, which was a disappointment. Overall we had a good experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back. For all the negative reviews about customer service, I feel it’s hit or miss.
Like most places it really depends on who you get served by and when you go. If you go in with no expectations you shouldn’t be let down. Just remember it’s ice cream, not real life issues. So have fun and enjoy the best of Baskin Robbins.

I ordered a cake online. It was a big mistake. They call me the day of 30 mintues before my pick up time saying they had just received my order and that they could make it within an hour to an hour and a half. Imagine if I put a later time of pick up so they could tell me it was not gonna be ready for the time I asked. On top of that the top part that was green was sliding off the side. The cake was rush. Sloppy job.

Ice creams okay. But what gets businesses more customers? Customer service. Lol. Found none here.
A simple «hello, what can I help you with?» would be great. Lazy workers.

I was looking for a premade ice cream cake. The cashier was very helpful and fast and I was in and out of there super quick. Considering there’s only one Baskin Robbin’s in the city, it’s nice having this location somewhat close to home.

4 stars because it’s in Westlake, which is super convenient when im in the mood for some yummy ice cream.
I get my ice cream birthday cakes here every year, and they never fail to make yummy bday cake :)
What sucks is that there’s only usually 1 – 2 workers at the most, and it can get pretty busy with a bunch of kids. So if youre in a hurry for ice cream, this place probably isn’t the best to go to.
