Great place for a bakery. Lots of seats and tables to eat at also. Parking is great! The workers are considerate and it’s very sweet to here them say: take your time. I ordered the turkey and fresh mozzarella sandwich to go. I ate it for breakfast the next day and it still tasted fresh. Although the bread did turn soggy, I felt the mozzarella and turkey taste go really well with each other. Thankful for such a big mozzarella piece! I enjoyed it and will come back to try many other things.

Literally the best and most fresh place to eat in Daly City. I stumbled upon this place by accident. My parents live in Daly City and I have yet to find a place to eat that is decent. This bakery is great. The breads they bake here are amazing, and being a vegetarian the vegetarian sandwich on the menu is one of the freshest I’ve ever eaten. Lots of yummy baked goods and now everyone we eat here we buy some fresh bread to take with is. Love them, highly recommended if your in this area and looking for a fast bite.

Got yelled at and scolded for eating another customer’s food when they were the ones who delivered it to my table. First time there, and all I wanted was a bagel.

I love the sandwiches. Simple and tasty. Fresh bread! Fresh pastries! Delicious. Sweet ladies working here. The coffee isn’t bad either.

This is a solid place with good prices in that $ 2 – 5 range for a nice desert sweet treat located outside of the Serramonte Mall near the Target Dept. Store side of the shopping center. The service is friendly and fast. Parking of course is easy due to it being near and in the mall. I’m not sure if you can enter this place from the inside of the mall ‘tho, and you may need to go outside to get in here.

Another zzz. Filled night, until the little one comes in and asks can I sleep with you. So when I wake up and everyone is still sleeping, I come here. It’s warm and comforting. People behind the counter are always greet you with a smile and a politeness. So I order my usual breakfast sandwich, I don’t mind spending 4.75 for the sandwich because it comes on a fresh baked French bread. The sausage is hot and moist. And the eggs taste like eggs not like they have been in the microwave. The sandwich is also pressed in a panini press. The chocolate croissant is one of these plasters not to be missed. The have a large arraignment of freshly made pastries . The organically grown coffee is like super hot, and gives you a nice feeling, great after taste. I think they don’t do free refills, not a problem because one cup is enough. But it you like your cup filled to the rim, you should request that no room for cream. Over all a great place to have breakfast, They have cleaned up the floors. Nice job.

As my first time at this location, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to dine in. It’s probably best just for to go pastries and lunch orders. The cashier was friendly enough, but when I asked the female(brown hair) at the other register for a fork/spoon she mumbled something in a «you’re bothering me» manner. I guess a service with a tiny bit of a smile is too much to ask for. When I asked her to repeat she looked annoyed and pointed to a tray of utensils, which was confusing to me since it seemed like past re register. I don’t know, maybe I’m not familiar with this bakery, but my experience lacked enthusiasm to ever come back or recommend. A bread/pastry to go maybe. Also disappointed in their bland«organic» coffee, and lack of espresso drinks. This experience also makes miss La Boulange

This used to be a good fall back choice when I’m in the area. Reasonable price, good bread, good quality. I almost always get the half sandwich with soup or salad option for ~$ 8. This last time though, it seemed kind of shabby. All of the empty tables were dirty. The busser picks up the dishes, but I never once saw her wipe off the table. The bathroom needed attention. Their half sandwich is the size of a whole one when you get it on their over sized sliced sourdough. I usually get either tuna salad or chicken salad. This time I got the chicken and avocado. They use«luncheon meat» chicken(yuck) and were very stingy with it, only two paper thin slices. The avocado was nicely ripe, but again very skimpy portion. I may need to find a new«fall back»

I have given this place three opportunities. Each time they manage to screw up my order. And always take forever just to take your order. They have a dysfunctional operation. Seriously. I will not go there anymore. It’s sucks because the bread is good, not the best, but good and only reason I kept going back is because they it’s conveniently located. Today I asked for a BREAKFAST bagel with bacon, what I got was sliced tomatoes with bacon. Good job. Previously asked for bacon and I got ham. Prior to that they just completely forgot my order.

It’s a great bread store from Japan! Unfortunately I have to agree with the other post that the ladies there are rude and offer no kind customer service whatsoever. From the moment you enter and place your order they do nOt greet you, nor offer a simple smile or thank you. If they are not happy there then they should move on to another job. This would NEVER happen in Japan! Although I have apprehension about going there due to their unfriendliness I still go because of the bread. Hopefully Anderson management from this Daly City store takes note of it’s customers concerns.

Cashier needs to pay more attention to what I ordered. Repeated my order and got everything wrong. Need more competent staffing. If The customer doesn’t speak Tagalog, then the staff is going to have a problem. That’s all I’m going to say. Three stars because the sandwiches are good. So that’s a plus.

Genuinely surprised with this place. Amazing coffee, great breads, Mouthwatering sandwiches and out of this world cakes. I don’t see how could anyone go wrong with that. Best one — jalapeño cheese breads — delicious. The coffee cake was amazing and the chicken salad sandwich was so fresh that I could hear every crunch. That’s way too much info-stop reading and eat there already :-)

We were looking for a ½ sheet cake for our party. I originally wanted to pick up a cake at the Safeway in Pacifica, on our way to Sea Bowl. However, hat Safeway didn’t have a bakery. Andersens was on our way so I ordered the cake there. We had the dream cake and it was fresh and delicious! People at our party raved about it and they couldn’t believe it came from Andersons. The cake was so good that we only had maybe one row left at the end of the party. I think the price was very reasonable at $ 50 too!

Sooo… first they charged my boyfriend for 8 ice teas when we only wanted one… Then, they got our order wrong. Go figure since they didn’t repeat the order back. My man wanted his sandwich on honey wheat, and mine on foccacia and that did t happen…

Food– Food is fresh and delicious. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it. Workers– Can’t speak english and somewhat rude. If you are of asian descent(i am), they will be outright rude and immature. If you are caucasian(my bf is), they will be nice and treat you with respect. Tip for manager– train your employees good customer service.

Friendly and fast, last time I was here I had a garden salad and the veggie feast sandwich, and the sandwich brought me back. This time I got half soup half sandwich, and it’s worth it. Butternut squash, you are a beautiful vegetable. The only thing I wish was different was the drink options. It’d be nice to have more teas and coffee drinks made here available. It would go with the french café and bakery ambiance.

Located in the same plaza as Target & Elephant Bar, with plenty of parking, Andersen Bakery reminds me a lot of Corner Bakery & Panera Bread because it pretty much has the same set up where you can sandwiches, soups, salads and pastries. Yesterday afternoon around 1:30 pm, we decided to grab lunch here since we were in the area and were hungry. Luckily after we ordered our sandwiches, we were able to get a table. There was only one other smaller table available. Anyways, this is what we had brought to our table only maybe 10 minutes later: Pick 2 for $ 7.75, prior to tax: Roasted Tomato Caprese & Avocado with Clam Chowder– My husband and I both decided to get the caprese sandwich(caprese salad, pizza and sandwiches are so delicious, even though there have such simply ingredients). He ordered this on a 9 grain bread and had the bread toasted. Andersen Bakery does not skim on the mozzarella in this sandwich. The sandwich was fantastic for him. The clam chowder was good as well(although I have had better, but this was good enough for both of us). Pick 2 for $ 7.75, prior to tax: Roasted Tomato Caprese & Avocado with Turkey Cobb Salad– I got my caprese sandwich on whole grain bread, also toasted as well. Loved the basil in this sandwich and avocado, as it added flavor and creaminess. But I wished there was a pesto sauce or spread in the sandwich to give it just that much more. I liked the size of the turkey cobb salad and the chunks of turkey in it. This sandwich and salad combo is definitely plenty of food and variety for one person. The romaine lettuce was crisp and I also liked that the dressing is automatically placed on the side(I never like my salad swimming in salad dressing). Banana Nut Bread– Loved the flavor of this bread. Quite moist, but you can tell there is a lot of butter used in it. Chocolate Chip Bread– This was quite fudgy with actual chocolate chips in the bread. I liked this, but honestly preferred the banana nut bread over this one. Service was friendly when we ordered our food items. Right when we were done with our meals, an employee asked if they could take away our plates. There is free wifi, but it took some time for both my husband and I to connect to it. Overall, really liked this place(I am a big fan of sandwiches, soups and salads) and wouldn’t mind coming here again for lunch.

I LOVE this place and I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for it until now! I’ve been coming to Anderson’s since it was called Grain D’or. I used to only come for the clam chowder in the mornings as I waited for the bus but over the months I ended up trying almost every pastry they carried. From the cream cheese walnut to the jalapeño cheese bread, I can honestly say that you can’t go wrong with anything from here! Lately, my go to has been the half sandwich, half soup lunch combo. Depending on the type of bread you get for the sandwich, typically the portion size of this combo is pretty small. I’d recommend this if you’re looking for a light lunch. Their clam chowder has got to be one of my all time favorites! If you’re a can of clam chowder, you should try it at Anderson’s! The turkey Swiss avocado, California BLT and farmers chicken salad are among my favorites. One of my favorite things about thus place is how fresh everything tastes. The bread is made daily, the vegetables and meats taste fresh as well and you can’t go wrong with pairing this combo with a Creamy French! If you’re ever in the area and looking for a place to catch up with friends or just to grab a bite to eat, check this place out! You won’t be disappointed!

I love Andersens bakery. Anytime im cooking for a dinner party, i always grab some loafs of bread here. I get it unsliced as i always shape the bread differently. The pastries are delish as well as the sandwiches. One of my favorite breads is their walnut bread. Yummy! I could just look at all the pastries all day! That would be a bad idea though…

I love you Andersen Bakery :-). I’m always here with my parents after they come home from work for breakfast before i head to school. My favorite was the chocolate croissant, and naturally I felt that i needed to spice up my Andersen Bakery pastry life and order something new. I decided on their almond croissant. BEST. IDEA. EVER. It’s sooooo yummy. A nice crusty exterior coated with powdery sweetness. The interior filled with a yummy almond filling that get me every bite. Its a mess to eat. A beautiful mess indeed. I also like their clam chowder. It’s yummy and not too hot nor too cold. It also tastes fresh, rather than from a can. For lunch, my mom always orders their sandwiches and brings them home to her kiddies to eat. I don’t recall which we’ve had recently, but they’re pretty good. Although i suggest that you eat them once you get them because they don’t taste as amazing cold as they do fresh from the oven. My favorite is the tomato caprese panini. I love tomato caprese! I love that this place is close to me(Since its there with Serramonte lol.) One star reduction because the workers don’t really appear all that friendly sometimes, but there’s always room for them to lighten up a bit :-).
