I called allied waste today for information about an annual pickup. I talked to Pam who went out of her way to help me try and figure out the best way to save money on removing large items. She gave me a list of prices and suggested other options. When I hear the trucks in the morning I’ll also know that there is more to this company than just the noise.

The website still does not have up the fall/​winter newsletter. Kinda ridiculous.

Every.single.morning. at 4 a.m. the 20 ton alarm clock comes rolling into my street beeping and dropping tossing dumpsters around like a boat full of shopping carts. It’s unreal. This is a residential area, people are trying to sleep. People like me have jobs and lives to live and this is ruining my entire day. I can understand if coming in that early is just how the route goes but EVERY DAY?! How do they get filled that much!?!
Maybe they could stagger the schedule to come in later every other day. Or kill the beeping when there are definitely no cars or people around who need a warning. Or not rattle around the enormous dumpsters filled with trash at 4 in the morning…

Actually … no stars. This company sucks.
The days they actually pick up trash, they still leave some. They won’t pick it all up. And the bastards told me it’s because it’s their policy.
Furthermore, they are proud of their crappy service. They brag about it on their website.
And we the people who live in this city pay taxes that go to pay these people for performing such fraudulent actions.
It’s a crime. It’s fraud and defrauding and if it was a private person doing it, he/​she would be arrested and charged for multiple felony counts.

They suck!

Today is the second time that Allied Waste has missed my trash pick up in about 6 weeks. Is it that hard for the drivers to drive by the other side of the block and maneuver the mechanical arm to wrap around the grayish trash bin to empty it then to make sure everything has been emptied? I called again to let them know that even at 2pm my trash hasn’t been collected. They asked me questions as if it was my fault that maybe the driver didn’t see the bin. The nerve you you guys. I have been a customer for thirteen years. Why should thinhs be different this year? I remembered when trash pick up was early in the early A.M. In the morning than how it is now which is basically whenever they get around to it.
I can’t say anything or do anything cause if I do they might continue to not pick up my trash. And I can’t threat to leave their services cause they’re the only trash pick up in Daly City.
I don’t know what’s going on but I hope they shape up.

Monopolies guarantee uncaring service. Ever since Republic built and rolled out it’s new corporate portal website, I have been unable to pay bill and have frequent login problems where it is obvious my previously accepted login was wiped out. I have made 6 – 7 calls and numerous online requests to get account fixed. From what I understand, many people are experiencing same issues. Republic/​Allied Waste is a monopoly in Contra Costa County. Their customer «service» is obviously a subcontractor who doesn’t have deep access to the Republic servers or IT system – they cannot fix customer bill pay or invoice problems. Every time I try to access my invoice or pay bill, get a denial of service error. Have tried 4 different computers and 3 different networks with same results. It’s not on my end! All I keep hearing from Republic is, «sorry, we cannot help you». Then they close out my service ticket as «closed». But NOTHING is resolved.
Dear Republic «Services»: making your customers spend loads of time and effort just to pay their bills online is a BAD business practice. If you were not a monopoly, I would have switched companies 4 phone calls ago. I want to see my invoice!!! The company you hired to build your new website is atrocious: why in the world did they not migrate customer data (especially the logins) over to the new site so customers could continue paying Republic seamlessly??? Why do your customers have to call in to re-​register their accounts over the phone just to login and see/​pay bills?
I used to think AT+T was the most uncaring and clueless service company in America. Republic Services has now supplanted them and captured the title. Congratulations. Now I have to hassle with «phone» pay and hope to Heaven their phone pay system works.

This is just unbelievable, this pathetic mafia like organization have the HUZPA to demand periodic rate increase again just after recent striking for solidarity with other parasite organization. They should be kicked out of sanitation business and replaced with none union hard working people. This only happen because of the MONOPOLY and UNION the service getting worst while we are charged more every year for putting up with this «Soprano like» enterprise.
When would this no good corrupted organization will be replaced and get out of the way ?
There is no hope with current oversight agency like California Public Utility that most likely have deadly hold by this and other most hated utility company, like PG&E
I volunteer to start with recall bankrupting and replacing these «fat» corrupted pigs.
Enough is Enough squeezing tax payers in exchange for crapy awful service.

Every Thursday the trucks come rolling down the hills by my place in Daly City picking up garbage, recycling, and compost. The first truck in my neighborhood starts at around 4:15/4:30 IN THE MORNiNG. That’s not even morning really, it’s still night. I get that garbage collection needs to start early– it’s less crowded on the road, there are a lot of streets to cover, etc. But for someone who has to wake up at 5:30 in the morning, being robbed of an hour’s worth of sleep is a real heartache.
I don’t know which truck it is (recycling, garbage, or compost), but this early one is PARTICULARLY noisy, and not because it’s so damn early, but because for some reason this person really likes using that beeping sound. Alot. It is constantly beeping, it makes it sound like the truck is moving backwards. It’s ridiculous. It wakes my daughter up too. Is there any way that can be turned off or used less? The other trucks that roll by at 5:30 am and 6 am hardly use or don’t use the beeping sound and so their rounds are much less obtrusive. I don’t understand why this one truck, the earliest one, has to have so much beeping.

I smell something rotten in these reviews. I’ve only had good customer service from these guys. And the garbagemen themselves are pretty clearly hard working guys that are trying to get a difficult job done.
I checked Briaza A’s other reviews: all of them are only one star and it seems that every company s/​he deals with is «rude.» Jump to your own conclusions…

Be prepared if you are moving to Daly City, this garbage service is extremely poor. In the past they haven’t picked up my garbage due to the cans being too near the kerb outside my house yet they walked right past them and left me a nasty note in my mail box. A few weeks later when my garbage can was stolen (don’t ask me why) they promised to deliver another can to me the following week and that I could still get my accumulated garbage picked up if I placed it carefully outside my house with my name and address on it. But instead these guys dropped me off my new can, put all my old garbage back into the new can and again left me a nasty note saying the wouldn’t pick up garbage that wasn’t in the proper can? The mind boggles.

Allied Waste customer service representatives are rude and in need of some serious customer service training.
As for garbage services, I do not understand why they pick up garbage that is piled on top of a container week after week. Obviously the household should have a larger container and charged accordingly. I once had an extra bag of garbage for pick up and they left it. Stating that I had to call prior to notify them and that I would be charged for the extra garbage.

Pretty tired of seeing only 50% of my trash disposed. When actuals humans worked as collectors you can guarantee all of it gets in the truck.
Update: Put the heaviest garbage on the bottom!
Update: They guy actually jumps out of the truck to make sure it’s empty now!
