Zoom Dry Cleaning

I went to Zoom Dry Cleaning on Lemmon Avenue for about 4 months. At first it was okay, nothing special. About the 4^th week is when I started to experience problems:
1) Multiple buttons half broken or burned with scold marks — literally every order had at least one button come back damaged. The cleaners never bothered to inform me of the buttons being damaged, let alone take the initiative to fix them!
2) Lost clothes. On two separate occasions my garments were lost. The first time they lost a shirt and a blazer. It took a week of constant bombardment to even get their attention, and another week of constant follow up until they located my clothes. Both were mislabeled and sent to the wrong location.
The second and final straw was when they lost my shirt, again. This time about a month later & and it was never recovered. I tried for 3 weeks to recover the shirt, but kept being ignored by management & the desk clerk had no idea what to do.
Overall, I had a real bad experience at Zoom. I would avoid if you care anything about customer service, keeping your clothes, or receiving your clothes back in the same condition as when you dropped them off.

Their «state-​of-​the-​art» equipment shunk my most expensive clothes. Shrinkage only occurs –from my limited knowledge– when water mixes with heat (dryer). So either there is a leak somewhere in the equipment they use, or ZOOM uses the same standard washer & dryer we all have at home. On top of everything else, the place was filthy. I felt like I was in a sweatshop.

Customer Service was horrible and my garment was still left with a stain. I took it home and was able to remove it with water and dishwashing liquid. A waste of money. I won’t be back.

This place does not open at 7:00 a.m. regardless of what the website says or what is posted on the door. It actually doesn’t even open until 7:15. If you need your dry cleaning earlier than 7:30 or 7:45 I would suggest going somewhere else.

I turned in 3 blouses & a men’s shirt at 8:30am. Not only did they get all the coffee stains, foods & pen marks but they had my whole order ready at 3:30pm to pick up! So far, they are living up to their great reviews!

So far I haven’t had a single issue with this place. Only been here a few times, but so far so good. Their price is a little high it seems, but whatever.

I moved to Houston over a month ago and noticed a plain green sash/​belt was missing from a dress. I called Zoom described the belt/​sash and she told me it wasn’t at the store, but maybe at the WAREHOUSE (needle in a hay stack, right?), then she took down my number. I didn’t expect them to find it or even write down my number knowing it would be amongst a warehouse full of items, but 2 days later I got a call.
«Miss, I think we found your sash, do you have a friend who can come by and send you a picture of it to ID?» My sister went by, took a photo, it was my missing sash/​belt!
Zoom Dry Cleaners can find a needle in a haystack for their clients. I hope they open up some storefronts near me in Houston! Thanks again!

Sitting in front of Zoom for the last five minutes– they are supposed to stay open until 7:00– they are in there, but acting as though they can’t see me. When another person, who pulled up after me, refused to leave we were finally granted entrance. The young lady working isn’t rude, but to ignore my as I sat outside and when I walked up to the door? Yeah, that wasn’t good. And to say the system to accept payments automatically logs her out at 5 minutes before 7 (at least)? Yeah, that doesn’t seem honest. You wanted to close early; that’s simple and understandable. Just admit and accept that you weren’t able to, suck it up and close at the time posted on the door.
This will probably be my last time using Zoom.

I just came back from attempting to pick up my clothes for the 2^nd time this week only to be told that they were not ready AGAIN! I would not recommend this cleaners to anyone. I did accidentally tell my friend about it and the first time she took her clothes there they lost her favorite dress! The attitude of the person working the front counter was not the least bit remorseful note was there any apology. She just said «they are not here» Really! I will be taking my clothes and money to another dry cleaner. I am very unhappy about using my time and gas to continue checking on my clothes.

It’s been over a week and a half and I have yet to get my items back — also all my clothes smelled like vomit. How does this even happen? I tried this place on the recommendation of my friend, but I was sorely mistaken. Please, save yourself the trouble, do not GO HERE.

Boooo this place. They straight up LOST two of my shirts. How is that even possible?!
I dropped off two shirts for a quick alteration– nothing big, just a button to sew back on for each blouse. I was supposed to have them within five days.
Four weeks later and five phone calls later, absolutely no sign. They say they’ll check and call me back… but no calls back.
So, now I have to file a complaint with the BBB, and I’m sticking to Unique Tailor from now on. Womp.

Initially I thought this place was great however they have since lost my dress that I dropped off over 3 weeks ago. I have tried many times now to find out the status of my dress and no one seems to know. At this point I still don’t have my dress and I am waiting to hear from the manager. I’m not using this place again.

Showed up at 6:58 to pick up a suit needed for Friday morning. The dwarf closing already had locked the doors and shut off the lights.
Upon asking to pick up my laundry he advised me that their terminals shut down at 7PM when they close. I informed him that it was now 6:59PM and he said ‘yeah they have been shutting down a minute early…’ Am I to believe that your computers shut down based on stickers posted on your door as to what time you close. What a joke.
There was another customer and we both agreed we would be finding a new launderer.
While pulling out of the parking lot I was able to observe your incompetent employees laughing at the fact the turned away business that would have taken an extra minute out of their day.

In by 9, out by 5? Don’t count on it.
Dropped off my dry cleaning there this morning at 7:45 and the woman assured me they’d be ready by 5 so I gave then ALL of my slacks. Come back at 5:30 and am told they’re not here yet, they’ll be in the next delivery in 30 minutes. So I come back at 6:30, giving them a whole hour to get the delivery and sort it. AAAAANNNDDDD my clothes are not there. So what do I get? An apology, a credit (super useful since I already paid and have no interest in having my clothes held hostage again) and a waste of gas and time.
If that isn’t enough to deter you, the first time I dropped off there (mind you the above fiasco was only my second, and last, time to use their services), the woman in front of me was trying to get information on when she would be issued a check for a garment of hers that they lost. I should have known better. Lets hope my clothes make it back at all. Fingers crossed!

I’m a fan. Tried a couple places before I found zoom and their prices and services were way better than others. Parking is easy and the service lady there knows my name.

I’m pretty picky about my dry cleaning places because I’ve had stuff ruined before. We tried Zoom because we were initially looking for Comet Cleaners but landed here instead. As far as I’m concerned, it doesn’t matter because they do a decent job for a reasonable price. My wife dropped off a couple of our suits, pants, and shirts here on Tuesday afternoon and they were ready the next day. I didn’t pay but she said the prices were reasonable. REASONABLE PRICES in UPTOWN!?! They did a good job quality-​wise also. My wife had a sweater than smelled like wet socks + paint when it came from the retailer. We couldn’t get the smell out after washing multiple times at home and Zoom took care of it in one try. Salud my friends, salud.

I was told my dry cleaning was delivered to the wrong location when I went to pick it up… I was annoyed, but shiz happens. The worker girl was apologetic and nice, so can’t really hate on her. They did a good job with the dry cleaning. The worker girl gets a star and dry cleaning gets a star… There’s 2 other dry cleaning places that’s also walking distance to me, I’ll probably go to one of those establishments next time.

This place is awesome! I dry clean and launder my clothing every week and this place is extraordinary! Not to mention the «GREEN DRY CLEANING BAGS»… No other place has offered them. It’s a great on the environment and I don’t have all the left over plastic bags to trash before I go to work. The staff is great– they always accommodate you and ready times for clothing. I trust them %100!!! and they are pretty inexpensive

I have to admit… I had never, ever taken anything in for dry cleaning until the first time I used Zoom. I always used the home dry cleaning kits and had luck with them. But I had some vintage pieces that needed more than I could do.
I dropped ten items off (dresses, a coat, some mens’ shirts and pants, and a dress jacket), and the gal at the desk was friendly and addressed my concerns about the age of the clothing. I really dig the fact that they email you to let you know when they’re ready. They’re eco friendly too… they have a place to recycle hangers and well as plastic garment bags.
When I picked my clothes back up, I was immensely pleased. A dirty designer jacket I had gotten at an estate sale had a new life, as did a dress I picked up that needed major cleaning. The price was reasonable, the work was quality, and the whole process was really easy. I will be coming here from now on for my «special needs» clothing. :-)

Someone told me about this place so I knew where to find it. If I were just given this address I am uncertain I would have ever found it. It’s on Lemmon but it’s behind the Pancake House. I think it would be better described as being on Oak Leaf, the street where its entrance is located (between each of the Lemmon Avenues).
When you drop off your items you pay right then and the price seems right. I paid about $ 6 for two pair of pants and am completely happy as my my black pants stay super black and clean. I dropped off at noon one day and they were going to be ready by 5p the next day. I think it’s same day service if you drop off earlier than I did. Same day or within a day isn’t something I generally look for in a cleaners but it’s handy to know in case I ever need it. I waited a couple of days to pick mine up. There was no wait and they were pretty friendly. Best of all is that it was just easy, I was in and out within a minute.
Parking is also nice because they have their own lot. I will definitely be back.
STAR REDUCING UPDATE: I went in to pick up my garments and they couldn’t be found. I was sent on my way after being told a manager would contact me tomorrow.
I waited until nearly 11am the next day and I contacted the manager, I take this as they see no urgency in this situation but your job seems fairly simple to me: take clothes, clean clothes, return clothes… and you failed.
What gets me is the conversation with the manager, she just nonchalantly told me they were there. I wasted time thinking I would never have my favorite pants in the whole world back and it just all seemed to be no big deal to her. She explained, «the girl just ‘racked’ them wrong.» Your dry cleaning jargon means nothing to me, however, an apology would have meant something to me.
I can’t say I won’t go back because I probably will. I do believe that mistakes happen but they just did nothing to defuse the situation for me in my eyes. A simple explanation on what could have happened or more apologetic when I called to see what happened would have made me super happy.
