Walnut Inn

I would not stay here again. I called a month ago and I was told they ALWAYS have rooms. Got into Dallas about midnight on Sunday Feb 17, 2013 and got a ride directly to the hotel and was told they only had a jucuzzi room. I was stranded and I just wanted to go to sleep. I relunctantly took the room. HUGE mistake. At first glance the room looked alright. After further inspection found long black hair in the bed. The tv was an old style tube tv and the remote control was a universal remote that did not work. The linens didn’t seem that they had been cleaned in a while or if they were had stains on them and should have been replaced. Found water stains in multiple locations around the sink and by the tub in the bathroom where it leaked at some point. Went to take a shower in the morning and found that the towels again were either not clean or in the least were not cleaned using bleach as they to had stains. The room only had soap no shampoo or conditioner. I make annual trips to TX and I will NOT be staying at this hotel ever again. Unilocal makes you choose 1 star but with all of the issues Walnut Inn doesn’t deserve even 1 star.
