Ursuline Academy of Dallas

If you want your daughter to be free thinking, successful, or independent, do not send her here. I went to Ursuline all four years of high school and it could not have been a worse experience. The school talks about how they do so much to empower females, yet at every chance they only perpetuate a rape culture. Derogatory and inappropriate comments were made to me by male and female administration members on more than one occasion and they were completely unwarranted. This school will crush your daughter’s spirit and turn her into a true «Ursuline girl”-a submissive, hollow, and complacent shell of whoever she used to be. If you want your daughter to have any sort of enjoyment and say in her education, I strongly urge you to think twice about sending her here. (Also, I know so many alums talk about how much everyone loves UA, but there is a HUGE percentage of graduates who have had experiences just like or worse than mine.)

How have I not reviewed Ursuline? My experience was fabulous, not to mention the education I received was stellar. I just had my reunion and am so blessed to have made lifelong friends at Ursuline. The teachers, culture and campus are the finest in Dallas– and I think we ended up much more well rounded citizens of the world due to the curriculum and values taught. And we had a lot more fun than those Hockadaisies!!!

I can’t believe there are no reviews yet? Where are all those happy UA girls?
I graduated class of ’02 and loved everything about my 4 years at UA. Coming out of Plano public schools, it was soooo refreshing to finally make some girl friends that are worth keeping (nothing against Plano, but I found my classmates to be a lot of things, but genuine was not one of them). I will have it be noted that it has been 7 years since I graduated and I still talk to my 5 best friends from high school daily (via email. but it still counts). Friends like that are a rare find and worth every penny my precious parents spent on my tuition here.
A few months ago, I went to a dinner for Bay Area Alumnae. It was so fun to see generations of UA girls and get together to hear about what is new at the school. I am really hoping to be able to do it again soon. It sounds like some major renovations are happening and it is so exciting to see our beautiful campus being so nicely maintained.
Not only did I make lifelong friends here, but I received a great education and learned to be a confident and competent woman. As a parent, that is all you can ask for!
