History

Established in 2010.

Founded in 2010 Uptown Myotherapy opened inside Choice Chiropractic on McKinney Avenue. Moved to Turtle Creek in 2011 as the massage therapist for Core Health Wellness and Choice Chiropractic. Opened independent office in suite 1125 in 2013. Began offering personal training. In 2014 began offering Fascial Stretch Therapy and Nutritional Counseling.

Andy Hyde is a licensed massage therapist specializing in deep tissue, trigger point, sports, integrative massage, orthopedic massage, myofacial and active release technique, as well as Swedish, some Thai, and hot stone therapy.

Andy has a BBA from Texas A&M University and has studied massage at the Hands on Approach School of Massage in Dallas, TX.

Derek is the best trainer I have ever had. He does extensive studies of your strengths and weaknesses before recommending a plan for you. He then constantly measures your progress while guiding your food intake and content.
I have had several trainers over the years. Derek is by far the BEST!

I found out about Andy here on Unilocal,as I am just in Dallas for two weeks.
He is amazing and really helped me out: getting in deep and making thing a lot better, not only with the area around my hips and low back where I knew I had some issues, but also in places I did not even know where tweaked. He works deep and gets down into it…
I recommend him 100% and would go frequently if I were in Dallas.

Not sure what happened, but seems like Andy’s massages have dropped in quality. I have a suspicion that it is because he is busy/stressed trying to run his new business. He also spent too much time during my massage talking to me about medicine — often arguing against of use modern medicine. I’m here to get a massage in peace. The worst part was that when he was talking he wasn’t massaging!

I had an excellent massage here today by Stratton — one of the best massages of my life, actually, as I can never seem to find that balance of really deep pressure with total awareness and intuition from the masseuse. Stratton expertly felt out not only my knots, but the small points deep within them that triggered their release. I asked for an intense massage, and got it – but he was attentive to check up one throughout, and communication was easy-im sure he would tailor the therapy to anyone’s needs. The office was relaxing and comfortable, Stratton was extremely professional. If I lived here, I would make appointments with him regularly.

Awesome deep tissue massage. I was having a lot of pain in my right hand and arm from working as a physical therapist and he made it 100x better in 30 minutes. I had one to massage envy 2 days before and it did not help at all. Great awareness of the anatomy of the muscles and nerves.

Andy is awesome! I have suffered from chronic tension headaches for 15+ years and he’s been one of few people to provide relief for me. He really understands how the body & muscles work together and caters the massage session to meet your needs.
Just to be clear… I did not go to him for a relaxing spa-like massage. I need someone to do some serious digging to help my headaches and after my sessions with him I feel a remarkable difference even though getting to that point and working out the knots isn’t always the most pleasant experience!
