Perfect spot for a smoke. In town for business and a friend recommended this place. Great call. Very good selection. Friendly staff. Uptown location and surrounded by nice restaurants and affluent residences.

The staff was very friendly and even the patrons. Possibly seats 20 –30 between both seating area and good pipe and accessory collection.
Decent amount of parking but in between some very nice restaurant so I can see parking could be an issue.
All in all nice spot I would recommend to smokers in the area.

I came here today after searching for a smoke shop. I’m glad I did great place clean plenty of space to sit and enjoy your stogie big screen. Excellent selection of good cigars walking humidor and accessories. I will sure to come back here when I’m back in Dallas. Cheers

Nice spot to go and just chill. A group of us went by one afternoon and the public seating was not enough for all of us to sit together. Charles (not sure his the owner or not) made a few recommendations, including a competitor. Then after scratching his head a few moments, remembered that we could go to a restaurant across the street.
He then informed us that they were sponsoring a hand rolling event the next day. We returned only to discover that the crowd was larger than it had been the previous day. Yet we squeezed in anyhow. We left saying we were glad we stayed.
While the cigars weren’t to my liking, the atmosphere was great! Charles invited us back and the next time I am in Dallas I am going to take him up on his offer.

Their cigars have mold and got me incredibly sick. Buyer beware, plenty of other great cigar stores in the area.

Great establishment. For a frequent traveler I’m always liking for a good home away from home and this was perfect. Charles was very knowledgeable about cigars. I came in with an idea of what I wanted but he intrigued me with a couple of suggestions based on what I was going to get and he was spot on. Loved what he suggested.

A leather chair, comfortable room, an impeccable smoke and stimulating conversation. It’s like slipping on your favorite jeans or your most comfortable pair of shoes, it feels great!
That’s this place. Honestly, most of their wares can be found elsewhere. But the level of service and the environment are welcoming and warm. Having visited other «cigar shops» I can say with confidence, I’d rather part with my money for my indulgence at Up in Smoke/​Uptown than anywhere else in town.

Great place! My mom and I came looking for cigars for a friend’s wedding gift. Neither one of us knew a thing about cigars, but John took GREAT care of us. Please ask for him. He even gave us a small lesson! He packaged everything up wonderfully and even have us a great deal. I found this place on Unilocal and I’m so glad I did. If I ever need help with cigars or tobacco, I will definitely come back! Thank you SO SO much, John. You made it very easy and you were incredibly helpful. :)

This might be the first cigar shop I’ve ever been to where the guy working behind the counter wasn’t some grizzled old grumpy dude.
Although every time I walk into a cigar store, there’s always some snobby kid in there smoking acting like I’m invading his turf. I been smoking cigars since before you were born, pal — step aside.
Anyhow– nice place. HUGE humidor with a wide selection BUT I did not find Onyx or H Uppmann which are my two go-​to smokes. I picked out a couple and took them to the register. Bought a cigar punch too because for some reason, whenever I use my cutter the stupid cigars always wanna unravel. Drives me bannanas.
But I’m glad this place is here. Good location — at the south end of McKinney Ave so I can get to it easily.

I have a confession to make: I don’t know jack shit about cigars. Luckily for me, the fellas at Up in Smoke have me covered.
Not only were they nice enough to keep the doors open a few minutes late for us as we careened down McKinney (who knew it would take so damned long to go 4 freakin’ blocks) but I was paired with a wonderful choice of cigar after only giving «Arturo Fuentes» (the entire right side wall) and «I don’t like too sweet» (this didn’t even garner stink face, which I usually get) as points of reference.
They even offered to cut my cigar and sent me packing with a low-​moisture baggie and a box of matches. Hook a sistah up, yo! I’m definitely coming back to wander through the store at a more leisurely pace.
Seriously, if you’re any kind of cigar aficionado — or even if you only like the occasional toke after a few drinks — Up in Smoke is a man’s man kinda place. Whatever the hell that means.

The only establishment where you might run into a few Dallas Cowboys, Rudy Giuliani, an Italian chef that’s actually Italian, and a judge; all puffing away in the lounge and talking about … whatever. I love this place, and its fantastic customers are the truest testament to its character.
I do miss John since he left to manage the Lincoln Park location, but Patrick is capable as all hell and is doing superbly last I checked. Up In Smoke Uptown boasts a great selection of cigars, pipe tobacco, and all the usual attendant accouterments. Their prices are quite competitive, and the ambiance… the air is fragrant with the aroma of fine tobacco yet not thick with smoke. That’s a trick that other cigar lounges might take a stab at …
The only thing I’d change is the stability of their wifi connection (haha) but that’s hardly a real problem. I miss the hell out of this place and retrace my steps there any time the opportunity presents itself.

Just renewed my VIP membership here, for year 3 (I think!) Good space for a downtown joint, VERY helpful staff, and with three widescreen TV’s and lots of leather chairs, a nice relaxing groove after a hectic week (or day!) Recommend!

A very good cigar shop with a HUGE selection of fine cigars. They also have a very nice selection of cigar accessories: cutters, lighters, etc. The staff is very courteous and very helpful in directing you to a cigar that fits your taste preferences.

I decided to get the dude a humidor for Christmas and sought out some advice from friends on what to look for and what questions to ask. I visited a few smoke shops and this one was by far the best from a customer service as well as atmosphere standpoint.
For one, the smoke was not a heavy thick cloud when I walked in, like the other places where I made an audible cough upon entry and smelled like a cigar butt on the way out. Very well ventilated, you could run in during work hours and return to the office not smelling like a bar. kudos.
The guy who helped me was super nice and helpful, offering advice without being pushy or salesy, and went above and beyond just selling me the goods but also prepping everything for me so that it was ready to go come Christmas morning.
This place is a lot bigger than the other shops I went into, seems to have a greater selection and several locations which seems good if you join their club ($ 25/​mo to come smoke and hang out in the VIP room which is pretty pimp and BYOB for watching games, etc) or frequent buyers program.
They had an AMAZING selection of humidors and tons of other stuff (nice lighters, cutters, heavy glass ornamental ash trays, etc) ranging in price from pretty affordable to «wow you could buy a small car and keep your cigars in that instead» — definitely a place that anyone from the beginner to a travel the world to find the finest cigar connoisseur could come away with something to enjoy.
Overall a great choice and I know this will be the go-​to for a local cigar shop when the dude wants to buy «sticks» (like that lingo I picked up?) for his new «box» (TWSS).
