University Park Counseling & Testing Center PLLC works with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from therapy for depression and grief counseling to parenting support, couples counseling and beyond. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they’re striving for.
History
Established in 2015.
Twila Farrar earned her Master of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas (UNT) where she received specialized training working with children, adolescents, and their families.
Twila was instrumental in implementing the first-ever counseling program at the UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center where she provided play therapy, child-parent relationship training, and adolescent therapy to clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and members of their families.
Twila became one of the first therapist in the State of Texas to become a Certified AutPlay® Therapy Provider Level II — which is a play therapy and behavioral therapy-based approach for treating autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, and developmental disabilities.
As an LPC-Intern Twila was honored to be nominated and named a 2014 – 2015 Mom’s Choice Play Therapist in the DFWChild.Com Magazine.
Twila has presented on topics of parenting, bullying, and self esteem throughout North Texas.

With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
