Amit, the brain and chef behind Underground Indian Cuisine has over 18 years of experience in the restaurant industry. He worked under the best chefs in the grand hotels in Welcome group in India.

Amit is very passionate about the food he cooks and that is reflected in the taste and décor of Underground Indian Cuisine. A name «Underground» for an Indian restaurant is very unique and we want to reflect our décor and our location with our name.

We are not any Indian restaurant in Dallas, we are proud to say and we are quite confidant of it. After establishing our restaurant over 1.5 years now we have expanded to down Dallas with a lunch buffet option. We are open from M to Fri from 11:00AM to 2:30 PM CST.

Food was good. The naan could have been better but the curries were great and flavorful. The naan was kind of cold and didn’t taste like regular restaurant naan. It tasted more like a flatbread you would find at a sandwich joint. But this is a food court, so you can’t expect complete restaurant quality. Other than that, it was great! Upon entering, it can be a little confusing as there’s more than just indian food at this establishment. And the pictures of random cuisines on the wall aren’t any helpful. But don’t let that fool you! The Indian food definitely dominates! You are provided a circular plastic dish with several compartments, which you can use for multiple trips through the buffet. These plates are nice because you can fit a lot in your plate and it keeps all contents separated so none of it runs together. Once you fill up your plate, you pay at the end. Was it the best Indian food I’ve ever had? No. Would I come back? Absolutely! Fair price for a buffet plus the food was pretty good and it’s close to work! The paneer tikka masala was my favorite! Chana with spinach was a close second.

Didn’t love it, but not because my food wasn’t good. My tilapia was good, just a little spicier than I requested. I didn’t care for the fact that you enter into a big empty room with nobody to greet you, just a sign that tells you that the dining room is downstairs. Our waiter was efficient, but didn’t seem to care that we might need some guidance with the menu, he just wanted us to order. There were many Indian families there, which makes me think it must be a good restaurant, it just didn’t make me want to go back.
