Top Nail Salon

For the most part, this is a great nail salon. Very friendly and sweet ladies. Today I have a lady that I’m not enjoying BUT I have had great experiences for the most part. They do a good job MOST of the time

My opinion has been changed. I am now fully satisfied with this shop. I’m glad I have them another chance.

They do a great job. Take their time and what a difference from the place I have used for the last 5 years. Gel nails are great and they do a great pedicure.

Loved Kim doing my nails n brows! This is my first time in and I will be back!. Well my pointer finger nail came off but it lasted longer than expected. I’m going to wait until all come off then give my nails a break! Maybe a mani!

Three of us girls decided to go get mani/​pedis after a long week and the ladies that took care of us were wonderful. They gave us wine and made sure we very relaxed. They also made sure we were able to stay by each other the entire time, (which some places don’t even when they know you’re with other people). My girl did a great job on my shellac and pedicure. I will for sure be back to see them!

After posting my review, Becky messaged me offering to do a better job, which she did. In fact, she went beyond her offer by not taking money for nail color, which was a last minute decision on my part. I truly appreciate her help and will give this salon another shot.

I’m updating my review because management contacted me after my review saying to come give them another try after fully staffing new people. I’m so glad they did. I just got the pink/​white nail fill and they did such a good job. My nails look nice, clean, and very shiny. The tech Kim did a great job asking me how they were looking along the way. The staff was all smiles and very friendly and made you feel comfortable. Thanks for contacting me. I appreciate a business with good work ethics and customer service.

I really love this place. There is new management and the place has been remodeled. There’s a lady whose been working there for a very long time and she is great. Unlike many places that I’ve been to, she’s caring and is very thorough with her work. She does not let her customers walk away feeling unsatisfied. Her massages are relaxing and she’s the sweetest lady on earth! She cares about her customers and does great quality work. I recommend you all to stop by and have a wonderful day getting pampered here. :)

I went to this place for eyebrow and lip waxing but the lady who did the wax was terrible. She got wax in the corner of my mouth and burned a piece of my lip. She was totally incompetent and I will never go there again.

Love the ambiance & the techs. They sure knew how to pamper a girl. It helped that the salon was beautifully remodeled so it made my experience very relaxing but I guess that’s a must since it’s under new management. Would definitely come back after my son’s arrival with a few girlfriends.

I wouldn’t recommend this place and I definitely won’t return! Half of my nails are lopsided. Probably due to the rush job. The shop wasn’t even busy, not sure why she was rushing!

Not a good experience here. Got a pedicure, nails were cut at an angle, no top coat put on & poor massage.

I came here on a recommendation for Jade and she did a great job! She was very sweet and spent a lot of time making my nails perfect. You can’t beat $ 28 for a great NexGen-​like manicure. Much better than the place that I used to go on Knox/​75. Go see Jade here!

Never have I ever wanted to write a review as badly as I do now. I went in this morning to get a pink & white full set, one of the things that I usually get when going to this salon and they did nothing but rub me the wrong way.
Let me start out by saying that once I find a salon I like, I stick to it. I’m loyal to the salon and am more than happy to give said salon my business. I have been going to Top Nail Salon for several months now and had nothing but great service — up until today and it made me never want to go back.
I went in and asked about getting a full set, and told the technician who was doing my nails that last time I was in they were done a little too thick — and I was going to leave it at that. The technician proceeds to question me on who my prior nail technician was, then goes and gets her so that she can yell at me because «I asked to make the nails thick» last time. Wrong. Based on my track record at the salon, and the fact that the manager recognizes me when I walk in, they should know that I have never asked for my nails to be made thick. EVER. I like them short and thin, and its been the same routine ever single time I go in there.
Once we got over the fact that I never asked my nails to be left thick, the technician finally started work on my nails. All went well, and it’s sad because I really like the outcome of my nails, but because of what happened next, I will not be going back. My technician told me he was going to give me a deal and charge me «$ 40 even,» except when I went up to the counter to pay I noticed that the prior nail removal was $ 5, and a pink and white full set was $ 40– so a total of $ 45, then minus the 20% off this salon offers, (there is a MASSIVE sign hanging outside offering 20% off) should have left my total at $ 36. I know there is not a huge dollar amount difference between $ 36 and $ 40, BUT the fact that this guy sits here and tells me he’s going to «give me a deal» is just absolute crap. If you are willing to over-​charge someone who continually comes into your salon and gives you loyal business then I don’t want to know what types of «deals» they give for first time customers.
Today is the last time I will ever go to this salon, and unfortunately they have the cheapest prices in the Uptown/​Oaklawn neighborhood. I will gladly go somewhere else though and pay more money knowing that I am actually being charged the correct price.

we walked in and walked out. The place was sketchy and looked very unclean. They had almost no selection in color. We were not greeted with anything but a stare and «yes?». We had also called ahead to make sure that they could do 3 manicure/​pedicures and that we would be there in 10 minutes. The man on the phone said yes but when we got there, we were told that it would be a half an hour wait at least and the people who were getting their nails done looked like they had been there for a while. Not sure why you’d lie on the phone; could have just said right now, there is a wait. Went to Nailworks instead.

I just had a great experience here! Walking in, its not much to look at but the prices are great ($ 22 pedi, $ 15 mani), they are very sanitary (watched them clean and sterilize after each person) and the technician did an excellent job! My nails and toes are perfectly polished. They started to have quite a wait but she never rushed through my service and was very nice and polite. I will definitely be returning!
