The Westin Galleria Dallas

This is a very nice hotel that I would surely consider staying at again in future travels to Dallas. First it is connected to a great mall with plenty of shopping and dining options. The front desk staff is is very nice and accommodating. The rooms are wonderful! Bed orated nicely and well cleaned and kept. But favorite part of the room was the window seat with the amazing view of Dallas. There is a cushion and pillow and like which makes it a nice place for decompressing from a busy day by just sitting, napping or reading! The bathroom was also a nice the tub and shower and vanity are great! You also get 2 bottles of water a day for free. And if you forget anything at home they likely have a back up for you just not from mini bar as that cost! Then to top all off the pool and fitness center are great too! AND if you forgot workout clothes you can rent from hotel for only $ 5! Definitely a great hotel!

Great hotel, been there last week for Business trip, first class hotel, reception was just helpful, the only thing I was concerned it’s about the room type, I was expecting from 5 star hotel to be more new style, but overall I liked this hotel, I will definitely will visit again when I have chance

Disgusting! My whole family got the stomach flu from staying one night in this hotel. Please beware and stay elsewhere if possible. A week later and trips to the doctor we’re finally on the upswing. I’ll never stay here again and would not recommend this place to anyone.

On style points alone, this Westin could easily be a 5 star joint. However, with the rude check-​in gals, and disgustingly filthy room, I have no choice but to slam this property accordingly. And trust me, rightfully so, I will.
Upon check-​in, the curt young gals, in an arrogant demeanor, informed me that the hotel was booked, so a King bed was not an option. It was also a real struggle for these girls to answer my question about self parking. Once I checked in my room, I immediately noticed the following items of fun:
1. Blood on the sheets, and bed skirt
2. Blood on the pillow
3. Dust
4. Pictures that appeared to be purposely out of place
5. More blood, stains, and just a dirty (non washed, I believe) towel in the shower
Sure, it’s a cool, hip property; but if your indolent maids don’t find it worthy to clean, you’ve lost me, permanently, as a guest.
The one lone star, is due to the free self parking option. Parking in the Galleria Mall parking lot is free.
Never again.

Have stayed here before and it was wonderful. This time I’m in a room that is right on the highway and the noise is terrible. Despite the heavenly bed which is pretty great, the noise prevents me from sleeping. Hoping to change rooms for the next 3 nights.
12 hours later: problem remedied. New room. Quiet and nice. What a difference. Appreciate their responsiveness so much.

The Westin at Galleria was in need of TLC in rooms: window curtain runs hard to use; elevators breaking down (and poor corrective action taken since it occurred several times again afterwards).
No turn down service.
No free WiFi.
Very odd rules applied by the Westin Manager such as no pizza delivery permitted — but they allowed a multitude of College Frats to bring in cases and coolers of beers, etc.
Not surprising that the Police were on scene this past Friday night dealing with some issue on the 10^th floor.
Overall service from Staff was — in my opinion — not good in comparison to the many other brands I frequently used. I expect all Guests to be supported exceptionally well whether I am traveling on business or with a Group. This was not the case here.
Careful if this is one of your choices to stay in Dallas.
I now recall why I do not stay much at Starwood properties.

I love the Westin; it is my go to economical hotel in the Dallas area. I’ve stayed here many times with my family, and keep coming back because of their excellent location (in the galleria!) and rooms. The rooms are modern and always clean with beautiful views of the Dallas cityscape.
I was able to book my most recent visit on Priceline, snagging a room for only $ 66/​night for a King bed. The staff is always so nice and helpful – offering to help with parking and bags. The valet man even helped me find a parking spot (so I didn’t have to valet for $ 28 overnight).
In all, I love this place. Clean, comfortable, stylish, accommodating, and connected to one of my favorite malls.

Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous room. Very spacious with all the luxurious touched you would expect with a room at that price. I was also impressed with how eveybring was so perfectly placed such as the side tables and the wasting areas. In a way it made me feel like I was at my home. As for the staff when checking in and checking out everyone was very very professional everything got done quickly and correctly. However I did have some trouble with the cleaning staff in understanding and getting some points across but other than that no other problems with staff. The entire hotel was very customer oriented from the pool to the room I really didn’t feel like I was getting my moneys worth I will stay there again without question.

What can I say it is the best upscale pet friendly hotels with a heated pool and Heavenly robes. The staff is always courteous and willing to upgrade you if possible just mention a good Unilocal review the rooms are generously sized and the linens are the best of the best I love it here and it never fails to exceed expectations the only drawback is the parking

I just checked out of the Westin and had a great stay! It’s a convenient location (attached to the mall) with a great staff. I had my daughter with me and they set up a mini fridge for her milk, and a crib. They even have a healthy kid’s menu for breakfast. After checking in I realized I left my baby’s pacifier in the car seat, I called valet and they brought it up to my room in minutes!

What a cluster! We completed a credit card authorization form but because we failed to include incidentals our employee could not check the in! I stated this was not on the form… was told its on their website! Really? How about putting on the freakin’ form!!!

Okay, so the Westin Galleria is the hotel we stay at every time we come to Dallas. It is super convenient since it is attached to the mall. Not only for the shopping but also for all of the restaurants in the mall. If it is rainy, or if you don’t feel like getting out, you can just dip down to the mall and grab a quick bite. Also, a few places serve alcohol and are open after close, so you can have some drinks and not worry about having to drive! With all that said, the hotel definitely gets 5 stars from me. HOWEVER, the Sky View room is a major let down. We usually just stay in one of the club floor rooms and enjoy the views of the highway. The Sky View room is on the top floor and offers a separate soaking tub, so we thought how could we go wrong with this! Your view in the Sky View room is exactly that. The sky. That and a little bit of the roof. The room itself is tiny, so if you do any moderate amount of shopping, plan to trip over your bags the rest of your stay. The bathroom was the best part. The tub is super deep and great for a relaxing bath. Will of course be back again, but will not be staying in the Sky View again.

Good location attached to mall. Decent rooms. New carpet and showers. Staff are very polite and nice. But here are the negatives:
1) understaffed valet. Long wait times and chaos
2) valet damaged my car but hotel won’t take responsibility and says I have to deal with parking company and their insurance! An unnecessary hassle and lack of customer service and lack of accountability.
3) poor house keeping quality.
4) the electronic room keys had to be renewed several times. They blame the key being too close to a cell phone even when it’s not.
5) no indoor pool

Convenient because its at the Galleria Mall and nice comfortable beds are a plus.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and I am always happy with the rooms and service. The rooms are updated and modern and the bed is heavenly. The service is first rate. This time I purchased the room through Hotwire because it was $ 115 less than the rack rate. I had the Amex platinum concierge call ahead and check on the room we had and apply my SPG gold status. When we arrived they had everything on file and moved us from a king room to a double queen on an SPG floor. The SPG floors are quieter and higher and make for a nicer experience. The service from the front desk was excellent and we were able to schedule a late checkout and left with a couple of free cold waters which was great since we had just come from a football game. The location is excellent for shopping for my wife and it is easy to get to my meeting downtown.

As I was visiting in August, the Westin is the most pleasurable hotel in North Dallas. The concierge was on point, check in took longer than expected. The heavenly beds were definitely heavenly! The mall was in a very short distance from my room. The view of 635/​Dallas North Tollway at night seems like a New York view! Only gripe is the Wifi, it’s not free. Prices were outrageous!
I would DEFINITELY CONSIDER being a SPG Member and getting the deluxe rooms! The 18^th floor, is such a luxury!

Had the opportunity to stay at this property, and I have to say, I like it.
The room was the right size, plenty of space to move about, and though the bathroom was a little small, it was just fine. Plenty of counter space and since the door slides, you are not dancing with the toilet to open and close the door.
The beds were comfort, and the AC was not loud eve on a high setting, which is great… It produced the right amount of ambient noise the drowned out the traffic outside.
I had room 1820.
Hotel has a great bar, with some getting guys working it… Mike is a go getter and Jose made sure all your needs were met.
Check in was a breeze…
There were only two hang ups… One was that the door locks needed to be reset because it did not accept the keys, fixed by security. The seconds is more of a suggestion, for us power hungry gadget wielding folks, would be nice to have a plug next to the bed so we can charge our tablets /​phones… Not all of us have the new iPhone, so the clock radio iPhone stand was basically used as a clock.
Would be nice to have an outlet on the night stand so I don’t have to charge my phone on the desk… That is the only dig I have on this place…
I would come back, along with an extension cord…

It’s going to be a wonderful stay. That lobby smells so damn good!!! When we arrived they had a table set up with free cupcakes and lemonade and everything was delicious. The rooms were very clean and nice and the bed was comfy. You have access to the Galleria mall and restaurants which is a great thing. I’m going to Dallas in July and I’ll be staying here again.

I love staying at the Westin in general, and this location was perfect during my most recent work trip.
At first my room key was not working on the elevator, so I went back to the front desk who had security help me out, and was so sweet and attentive (even though it was my bad and I was just very impatient). I found the full security staff and desk workers to be very kind and thorough.
I stayed on the SPG floor, and my room was enormous. My favorite part was the window seat that was built in, which was the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee (or evening glass of wine). The bed was huge and extremely comfortable, and I love the rainfall showerhead in the bathroom.
I got to spend some time in between meetings at the pool, which was beautiful. The lounge chairs were comfortable, the pool was large, there were cabanas to escape the hot Dallas sun, and the view was also lovely. The only weird thing about the pool area was that there is an open space indoors overlooking the pool which was used as a set up spot for booths during a conference, so the people in their suits/​work clothes had an overview of everyone in their swimsuits. You also had to walk in your swimsuit/​coverup through this business set up, so it felt very out of place. That was the only downside of being at the pool.
The Westin is attached to the mall, which made it very easy to find somewhere to grab food, and to walk around. I chose to go out versus go to either of the two in-​house restaurants that are part of the hotel, but those are also available.
Another thing I LOVED about this hotel (I’m not sure if all Westins do this) is the fact that if you didn’t bring workout clothes, for $ 5 they’ll send you up workout clothes and sneakers so you can save room in your suitcase and still get a workout in. I thought that was a lovely feature.
The valet was quick and efficient — I never waited more than 3 minutes for my car to be brought to me and they were very fast at serving everyone.
I love the Westin, and the stay in Dallas reaffirmed that this will become my primary hotel for booking work travel.

I spent a week here for training and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It is part of the Galleria, so if you love to shop this is the hotel for you.
The gym is well done for a hotel and it has plenty of cardio machines and a decent dumbbell and machine section.
The room was extremely spacious and the bed was extremely comfy for a great night sleep.
The bathroom was large, the shower so large I was able to answer my challenge in the «Ice Bucket Challenge.» The toiletries was very high quality too.
The rate was reasonable for how nice it was and the excellent location. My only negative is the pool did not have a Jacuzzi.
